#PC restarts suddenly while playing GTFO

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue while playing GTFO on my PC. During gameplay, my PC (Intel Core i7, 64 GB of RAM, and Nvidia RTX 3080Ti) suddenly restarts, interrupting my game and preventing me from continuing. It's strange because I only experience this issue with GTFO, no other games or applications give me trouble.

I've tried a few solutions already, like updating my drivers and checking my hardware, but the problem persists. I'm concerned that the sudden restart may be damaging my equipment, so I'd like to find a solution as soon as possible.

Could you help me find a solution or give me some suggestions to fix this issue?

Thanks for your time and help.

Cheers,
Gabriel Burghi

Thanks for the advice! I actually already tried monitoring my GPU temperature with MSI Afterburner, but I didn't notice any abnormal readings. It's strange that my PC restarted at only 64°C, since my other games usually go over that temperature without any issues. Regardless, I'll keep an eye on it and see if there's anything else I can do to optimize my gaming performance. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hmmm... how long does it take for a crash to occur. Ive not got a lot of ideas.

When you say restarting, do you mean crashing? And if it is crashing, does it happen when you open the game, or try to start a mission?

Did your ram kit come as 64gb or was it two 32gb kits?

Are you running stock xmp voltages?

tender arrow

i don't know what is that

#

only have installer NVIDIA GeForce Experience as a driver software

proud osprey
#

Do you know what xmp is?

tender arrow
#

No i don't. But if it's something related to overclocking, I'm not using it.

Its often enabled by default in your bios.

ok, i could check it.

My friend was having issues with starting the game up and then issues starting up a match

#

The issue has been sent to the devs personally as troubleshooting could not fix the issue

#

I don't think it's the same issue, but I could be wrong

#

You can go to the event viewer to check the crash logs for some possible insight @tender arrow

if it does not stop the crashes, reenable it later

You'll want to click in the left hand side: Windows Logs> Application

#

After, go to the right side and create a custom view and toggle critical and warning

It may be one of the other paths, I may have misremembered the correct one on the left

#

I apologize

This was the state of the system in MSI Afterburner, a few seconds before the restart.

75c is a bit hot

#

i would definitely consider increasing fan speeds on case and on card.

tender arrow
#

Ok, I could check it, but it restarted even at 64°C. With other games that reach up to 80°C, it never restarts.

#

It only happens with GTFO. It's very strange.

i personally dont think its your build at this point

I played Apex Leyends, Half Life Alyx (VR), HUNT, etc.... without problem
