While we all down and return to checkpoint, one of us will carrying a cell and cannot be put down unless slot in a generator. However, the cell on hand can put in one of the generator and still carrying the cell, render player cant perform any other task but carrying a cell all the game.

Known bug since they added checkpoints in december 2021. Still has not been fixed. Leave, reload checkpoint with bot. Kick the bot, have your m8 rejoin.
Or don't use the checkpoints at all. But yeah ...
And if you haven't done R1 and R2 yet start there. they are easier, even without having checkpoints in them. This will give you more experience to tackle R7.
I think these are all the options currently available for now

Yep, it's not ideal but it's all we have
and again go for R1, R2 first they are easily 5 times easier than R7. But it's up to you guys
