So essentially for this game the dropping down is syncing up of players because the game is peer to peer and when you have someone from Africa and someone from USA and Europe and Asia it can take a while and some internet providers in the USA do somethen to slow down your connection w/out a vpn (i forgot what the exact thing is) so connection from USA to USA might be severely scuffed and another things to note is that when your dropping and syncing your fps drops really bad but when it stabilizes to about what u get in normal gameplay that means your synced up so it could just be your connection to someone and that could be why your stuck in the elevator.
