Issue:
When starting the game you get the error "No Network Connection".
Resolution:
This has a few causes:
- The game is having an issue connecting to PlayFab.com which is a service used for storing game data. This is likely an issue on their end or some regional outage. Please wait and try later, should resolve itself.
- You are trying to launch the "GTFO Beta" version. Please uninstall this version and install the one labeled "GTFO" from the Steam Store.
- GTFO uses Steam for network connectivity and there is connection issue with that process. Please try the following (one at a time):
Restarting Steam
Try restarting your Modem, Router, and your PC.
Try an
ipconfig /releaseandipconfig /renewon your computer.
Issue:
Game crashes with a "GTFO - Unity" window.
Notes:
This has a couple causes with potential resolutions and workarounds.
- The Game is trying to use more Physical Memory than what is available. We're working on reducing the memory footprint. In the mean time we recommend rebooting the computer, and closing out of any applications not needed. If possible, you can also increase your RAM to at least the recommended 16 GB >> #system-specs.
- There are corrupt game files. Try reinstalling the game, see the section below.
- Windows could have corruption or incompatibility. Some players have had success reinstalling Windows 10 or 11.
- We're also working on identifying other causes of crashes and fixing those.
Reinstall Game Steps:
Perform the following steps:
- Uninstall game on steam.
- Press the Windows Key and the R key at some time. This will open a "Run" dialog.
Inside put the following in:
%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\
Press enter. A new file explorer window will open.
Delete the folder called: 10 Chambers Collective
Repeat same steps for following (if it exists):
%userprofile%\Appdata\Local\Temp\- Install the game
Issue:
Nothing happens when I try to join a lobby!
Resolution:
There has been an update to the game. Make sure both you and the other people trying to join has downloaded the new version.
**Issue: **
When I join a lobby, the characters visor is all blue, the weapon icons are missing, or when host clicks "Initiate Cage Drop" nothing happens.
**Resolution: **
This is likely a result of Network Optimization software not allowing GTFO or Steam to function properly. This is most commonly seen with the ASUS GAME FIRST app. If you open the game and create a lobby solo, then go to the "Dashboard" of the GAME FIRST app, you should see Steam listed. Click the menu at the far right, and reclassify Steam as "Game". If you see GTFO listed, make sure it's also set as "Game" group. Exit out of the lobby and now try to join a lobby with your friends and it should work without issue.
If you have a different Network Optimization software running you may need to do something similar in there making sure both GTFO and Steam are allowed highest priority.
