tho i'd advice against ceiling mines, they're needlessly hard to place and do fuck all except light a nice show before you realise you wasted 4 mines trying to test it out
and floor mines are pretty shit in comparassion to wall mines
as they'll only trigger if someone walks over them and that's kinda lame
wall mines will trigger the moment something runs though the laser and they're sick af to watch

If you want to troll the mobs though toss a foam grenade at the bottom, they go single file but the line gets incredibly backed up.

That's how I've done it thus far (way you're talking about), but I've been more concerned with managing to extract than actually just playing around and testing things - so I wasn't sure.

tho you can probably stand besides the turrets, but that's not much covering fire, as you're out of the turret's angle

Scout scream range seems to be about this big. it doesnt affect anythig beyond security doors though (enemies are not loaded yet)

They're actually loaded. Just, since they can't break it down they aren't triggered. Probably the door being hardened helps the sound stop propagating?

Yeah, pretty much. You can actually see the wave leaving the scout and it travels through walls kind of? But, because they're behind a secure door it won't trigger them. You can actually see some enemies behind secure doors before you open them. Its fun to shine your light on them.

Eh, I would like more of an x-ray panel that you have to ADS in order to see what's behind certain objects.

That way, you do give up the ability to have another item/weapon, but you can actually see/utilize the information enough to be useful without having to holster weapons, etc.
Especially if there's a horde/alarm - which would be the best time (imo) to have the information. You can give directions without having to stop firing.
And, of course, you'd still have to select it if you wanted to ping everything, but this would be an improvement, imo

But that would take away from the aspect of having to use the item. IMO, they might as well make it perk or something. But I said a while ago that I don't want to see this turn into a game with perks and magical shit. But it's up to them.

Think the idea behind the tracker was so you had to chose to see the enemies or beable to shoot them. Makes more dramatic when you get jumped

Not much different, IMO than the fact you get to throw down the turret, then forget about it and reap all the benefits of the item while you blow things away.
But you already have to choose between seeing the enemies... or having any other sort of assistance in combating them.

That's, IMO, why the biotracker is underwhelming in this particular mission. You have to give up suppressive fire from the sentry, kills from the mine, defense from the C-Foam launcher... for information that limits you so that, if you want to really even benefit from, you can't do anything else.
I mean "I'm already giving up the automated machine gun.... but I can't even have my pistol active either!?" lol
