Depending on what the parasitic infection does to human bodies that are touching another human body we can only guess to what could happen with the conjoining of a pre-sleeper

And a guess that I have is that the metamorphosis of human to pale sleeper is in stages.

And in one of those stages has a chance of ending up being connected to another host in that same stage to form one sleeper from 2 different hosts.

Like saying the opposite of mitosis for cells but on a much larger scale.

As shown in body piles on some maps we see into one of the stages where certain locations of the body get bloated and reformed.

To make sense of this thought for myself... think of the host as a cell. Another cells comes by in the same stage as the first one and touches it. A reaction happens between the two cells that make it go through reverse mitosis making two cells one.

Instead of two parts combating against each other they both absorb into one another and create one conscious for that entire body.

With this in mind. Baby Cthulhu could be one massive sleeper that had absorbed as many hosts when it was in the same stage as them and now is a giant mess in the complex.

Meaning now it can’t get any bigger because that stage has passed for it and we can all rest easy knowing we just have to cut of it’s legs for it to stop moving completely.

This one didnt hurt as much as the plant-human sleeper theory did to me.
