Hi, I have a question regarding the advanced video settings "CPU Culling Workload" I have googled it, I saw the Reddit post that is linked to multiple times, but still, it is all just guesses and no one knows what the settings do, or what setting to use. Could we have a dev confirm what this is supposed to do, like set it to "X" when you have a good CPU but a bad GPU, something like this? Explaining what this does, and what effect it has on your system as well as when it is relevant.

Sorry if my explanation isn't perfect. But as you probably read Culling helps with objects being drawn in and out on a specific distance. This option just takes away some workload from the GPU and tasks it to the CPU. There are no 1:1 infos on what Setting effects what Hardware how much, at least not that i'm aware ^^ If you want i can contact a Developer for you and ask him what infos he can give me, and i would send them here with a ping.

Max rendered queue frames buffers frames, but it can cause input lag. I prefer to put it to 5 for any hardware. There is really no easy answer as it is a personal thing. If you encounter Frame drops, to set it higher can fix it... sometimes lower can fix it

I tried the culling on a potato machine, on a mid to higher end machine and I do not see a difference (it's also not easy to 'benchmark' in GTFO with so many RNG factors). For now I believe it's a troll setting to make us go crazy

for me it doesn't. I have rather an older CPU (i7 4790k) and a modern GPU (AMD 5700 xt) but changing it to low or extreme does not make a FPS difference. Frankly it's very difficult to verify since every time you start a run, it'll be different with sleepers etc. which may affect the benchmark

I like the ROG mainboards. the bios they have are ridiculous in terms of finetuning. There are settings probably only hardware engineers can answer, if even :p. they are a bit overpriced in general but they do have good VRM's , at least the once from ~2015

Used to be that PS/2 didn't need software because it was hardcoded, at times when USB keyboards sometimes wouldn't work without software. But now it's often a microcontroller in between, to interpret the PS/2.
Always good to have a PS/2 Keyboard as backup though.

Xtryfy are usually good but it's also the only company which keyboard I've bought which dropped input from half of all the buttons after a week or two.

I could RMA it so it wasn't a huge issue, but it was a peculiar error.

From what RocketNinjaJump said about the M4, he noted that the holes on the side made it a bit more flexible compared to other mice, in a bad way.

#

He also had two examples that creaked when squished a bit, but they had supposedly fixed that, or could be RMA'd if the mouse had that issue.

#

I had an M2 for a few months, though it didn't survive too long, albeit not too short either. It is one of the cases where the tracker died, which is uncommon from what I have experienced.

If you want low switches, Silver switches of Corsair are great apart from that I accidentally rested my finger on the control button without noticing, once or twice per session.

Out of all mice, now that I made a list, of the high end one's, the tracker has given in twice.

The mac keyboard style is called butterfly and some iteration of that mac keyboard is prone to breakage, especially the spacebar.

I've never had a mouse doubleclick on me, actually. It used to be cable wear-and-tear, or disconnects.

Windows uses a good bit of memory overhead, and those programs just add to it

Actually, I am also at 7 GB with several things open. most of it is background processes, they add up pretty quick
