im running 14-14-14-14-28
I don't know why i can't get it to run 3800
it won't even work with CL16
i used the memory calculator and set all the timings manually but still no joy
i think my clock speeds are about equivalent latency wise to the 3800 at those timings though
heh silly single core operations
yea if you think the CPU is the problem, youll need a cpu bench like pcmark
or uh
This is for testing the GPU, cause I'm sure its a driver issue that was happening
I had AIDA64 installed earlier.
but need to prove to rin it's not the cpu :3
rofl
BTW this is a Trial
The moment I turned it on, instantly jumped to 90s
Rin did you google "High temps ryzen 3700x" yet? :p
cause youll find posts all over saying "That's normal for stock cooling"
that damn gum pad is so useless -_- i swear you'd get better results metal to metal
If you can grab a better cooler right now, its a really good idea. Alternatively at least get some good thermal paste
yea i recommend arctic silver paste over noctua for that particular cooler
wraith bad
For Arctic Silver
the issue there is that cooler doesn't attach firmly enough to spread noctua very well
i know from experience ;p
Keep in mind that it is conductive if I remember right, and it does need time to cure
yes
I forget, i think it needs like 72 hours?
uh no <.<
Hm
a couple hours will do
:p
what's a good thermal to use?
Cough
closest one i could get to is best buy
best buy won't have any paste
kryonaut :D
i know because i checked
Eh you could maybe order for pick up...
Now we can't all have kryonaut
Either that or amazon
Or you know FREE ONE DAY SHIPPING BEZOS
glass, kryonaut is NOT ideal for that heatsink
Just because it's kryonaut, doesn't mean it's the best
well
i keep saying, arctic silver is best for taht POS sink
no -_-
Hm

stop destroying my sarcasm :(
one sec
artic silver?
yes arctic silver
or you can spring for https://www.amazon.com/Coollaboratory-Thermal-Compound-Processor-Heatsink/dp/B0039RY3MM
Artic Silver 5
but dont waste such awesome stuff on a shit sink
Liquid metal
i just linked one of the top tier liquid metals
It's definitely very fucking runny, yeah?
silver 5?
oh yea that's purely for enthusiast professionals
Yeah you gotta use like the tiniest bead
arctic silver 5
Artic Silver 5
And then spread it thin, make sure it doesn't drop onto any pcb
I love how one of the images looks like they're about to apply it to the socket
well if you order a different cooler then you can get different paste
A good one is like
Oh if you're getting a cooler, a different thermal paste would be better then
pick teh cooler and we can recommend paste
What's your price?
kryonaut, grizzly or noctua might be better depending
At this rate, I'd pay as much just to get this thing straight. Probably will get a better PSU just in case as well.
price point?
Just how much would you mind paying for a cooler @nimble kite
50$ will get you a nice cooler, 100$ could get you a great air cooler or a nice AIO
https://nerdtechy.com/best-thermal-paste-reviews if you wanna learn about paste
So you're willing to spend $100 for the cooler
If you want best air cooler, NH-D15 or Dark Rock Pro 4
i hear the fuma 2 is about the same :p
just gotta get my friend to repay what he owes me
fuma 2 = D15 but less $
Hm
" 15% better in performance to noise ratio, FUMA2 has reached itself to next level. Dual heatsinks and fans accelerate and enhance heat dissipation for top-tier performance. 6 x 6mm heatpipes and copper plate base ensure heat from CPU and drop temps. Ideally to use for mainstream, gaming, overclocking PC with high TDP processor(9900k, 9700k, 9600k) "
Hm
for a 3700x you could get the h80
the D15 literally only gets 1-2Β°C lower
Hm
100 bucks for the h80i AIO
From user reviews, someone said they improved temps further by replacing the front fan with a noctua one
Scythe is honestly a pretty good product
i think if you want an AIO with single fan you can get better for cheaper though...
Used it before myself, and have used it alot for people's computers that asked me to build one for them
So swap my intake fans as well? XD
Nah
Uh... that's up to you
well
Never heard any complaints about scythe
He means the fans on the CPU cooler
you WILL want your case to have every fan bay filled ideally
bro
H500 doesn't have the best intake
noctua's industrial fans are insane
If they're not rated for Static pressure, tbh for the money you can't beat Artic's Bionix P fans
might be a good idea to get the fuma 2 and case fans
Yeah
you need circulation PERIOD
doesnt matter what cpu cooler you have if your case has shit flow
You'll lose the RGB
big whoop imo :p
But I mean...
RGB is meh
Your case is facing away from you I think
my case faces my face while i sleep
Not a good case unless front mesh
it's a pain in the ASS being blinded by it while trying to sleep
If you have left over budget for RGB go for it but dont safe money on hardware for that extra RGB
But it looks solid af
so i cover it with stuff XD
Are Gee Bee
no lights, no annoyances
yea RGB is just bling
:D
What case is that, is that the H510? I dunno
i'd have no lighting on mine if i could
A nice tad touch of RGB would be nice
peripheral RGB is cool though
But not too much
but i'm using stock cooler atm and my avermedia card blinks it's red LEDs
I turned off the rgb, turned it into green only lol
it's more subtle than the flood lights that we refer to as "case fan RGB"
Just to kind of give it that futuristic feel I guess? I just like the black/red aesthetic
Kek
No okay that's not an NZXT case
green, purple and blue are best
No clue what case it is
Everyone knows the red RGB makes performance go fastt
I assumed it was from the picture before when you showed the intake
yoyo\
that's fractal design right?
RGB boosts frames by 15%
πͺ
π
i think that case fractal design
That's Cyberpower's logo
oh
So either they're grabbing some OEM from somewhere and using it
Uh the logo is cyberpower's
well either way just fill every fan bay with a fan
figure out waht sizes you need and order them
what PSU is it running?
that'd be 3 fans on the case then
Reference 5700 though
most probably
Uh... I want to say SIs know better
And use decent power supplies, but most likely its some okay 650w
Some say on the reviews its a 600
Close enough
A: This PC has four fans in total, 1 for the CPU and 3 for the case and it has enough cooling to keep things running smoothly.
it'll say on it
when you look inside it, note the wattage and the maker
hopefully it's quality but it probably isnt
Just take off the back side panel and you can see it
yea it legally has to be easy to see
I'm guessing its some 80+ EVGA or Corsair unit
But maybe its a SUPERFLOWER
They'll put n whatever they have yeah
As long as its within margin
They're not gonna toss in a 1000w Platinum
it should be literally right on the side of the PSU when you open it
i highly doubt it's an EVGA gold
1600w titanium
Well I'll still change it regardless.
If its EVGA its probably White or Bronze
you may not need to change it honestly
check what it is :p
you might be lucky and have a seasonic
... maybe
not likely :p
If its a Focus that's actually not a good thing
true
I just got myself a corsair RM850x
it's pretty nice
i'd have gone for seasonic but this was 50 bucks less
Some other brands basically took Focus units from Seasonic and rebranded them too, like Antec and XFX
Well I'll undervolt this thing for awhile until I get the stuff I ordered.
Did you see what the psu was?
check the psu lazybones!
I feel ignored
@vapid crypt π€
just open the side panel and take a quick looksie

I tried the side panel, it's underneath a thing inside lmao
Yeah the other panel
uh wut? <.<
You can open the other side
I'd have to open the back one
If they're assholes they might have used normal screws for the other panel
yea... you only ever wanna open the one side that lets you get to all the equipment unless you're doing cable management or swapping mobo
razzin frazzin cables
:p
i usually use a screw driver regardless if it's a hand screw or not
my soft hands don't like it
while at it might as well blow air into it
yes, give it a nice blow job :3
ποΈ
no markings on the side
nice.
I mean its probably Okay
that or the case is the shitty culprit actually
Just not known
is the psu fan on the top or bottom?
Well considering the shroud on the case, I would hope its facing down
wait it has a shroud?
Otherwise it would be starving for air
good lord is this the 90s?
Yeah its facing down
bro
We're all good chief
stock cooler says cooler master
that's not stock then
Yeah Cooler Master manufactures their stock coolers
Yeah the fans are literally coolermaster designed
i mean, i don't usually examine turds up close :p
Actually it looks like its a wraith spire...
And they just put a rgb fan on it
Good lord Cyberpower how dare you
lol
ugh gross
this is why you should always custom build
i dunno, is it even 80+ bronze?
Cause here's the thing, psu suppliers will grab from an OEM
And then put their branding on it, they might get it for cheaper and can sell it for cheaper
what the hell is this prebuild dude
Its 80+ gold
cable management is actually pretty decent as well
They pay good money for that cable management
Single rail, 8 and 6 pin. They basically got the minimum requirement for the reference 5700
the cable management is what you're paying for in the end :p
Though I think most AIB 5700s will have the 8 and 6 pin
Something like the Red Devil has two 8 pins
i think i shoulda gotten a slightly better PSU now that im thinking on it
i mean, nothing wrong with single rail but dual rail is more reliable
I got a quad rail
ok mister moneybags :p
Nah it wasn't expensive
it had to have been more than 100 USD
<.< what is your PSU?
ah out of production
That's probably why
Hmm I hope they honor the warranty even if it is out of production
they will
I actually got a different power supply initially, and I replaced it after a few months cause I realized it wasn't really good...
It wasn't like obviously shit tier, like it was good on paper. 650w, 80+ bronze, fully modular
let's see how long before this thing does its black screen thing again
hopefully not anymore
But looking around it seems like a volatile product, something that out of nowhere would likely fail or explode
It's not that i don't have a decent PSU, the RMx series isn't bad... it's just a middle of the road option
Which product?
Rosewill Hive-S
ah...
rosewill is hit or miss honestly
i've had good products and ive had terrible products
like my "Stainless Steel" electric kettle
which has rusted out
Their higher end is likely good, like photon and capstone. But that series of psus from the looks of it has some kind of quality control issue
chinese products probably
Maybe low quality capacitors, they don't advertise the quality of the capacitors which means they're probably shit
I'll stick to Chinese cases, not too many important electronics there. A power button probably won't break
But if it does I mean... fuck
i dunno, might be lead in there somewhere π
If I don't lick the chassis I'm sure I'll be fine
p400a :D
Wow, that looks like it was the shit to get 8 years ago
and it was
Alongside the HAF and what not
about how long i've had it
maybe longer
2010 maybe
but yea it was boss
and it IS BOSS!
i've taken good care of her
i don't have a fan there, i need to install one
People are just too obsessed with tempered glass
it would take a 360
right over the GPU
i think it would be an intake
just by looking
Right to blow air into the GPU
yea i believe it outputs to top
top and rear are the only ones without lint screens
yea i need another 240 for the top and a 360 for side
You use those for exhaust
that makes no sense :p
you filter the air that goes INTO the case to prevent dust
Right i was referring to the top and rear fans
ποΈ
Finds a piece of candy on her floor... and eats it
π¬
ooo a piece of candy!
anyone with a 1080ti and 3440x1440 monitor please tell me what kind of fps to expect in game?
a lot of factors, but you should be able to get 60-100
1080ti is usually 40-55fps @ 4K, so it will be more than that
Keep in mind it was a pretty wack game that didn't seem to be too optimized
But yeah, you should run it well off now
Advaned Video settings has Max Render Queue Frames. setting it to 0 should have the least input latency, but hits frames hard.
In my case 0 queued frames ~115fps
1 queued frame ~200fps
going higher gives no benefit, but noticeably adds input lag
this is at 1080p
Personally I value responsiveness, and the fps is high enough to be "fluid". Can mean a lot for higher resolutions though.
I got 2080 with 3440x1440p monitor and without using ultra meme settings 100+fps is totally achievable in most games @honest laurel
I have a 70k monitor.

when i get in to gtfo everything is so big like the voice chat it gotten larger help me\
Change the game's resolution in the video settings
so this just came
nice
Nice
Nice
RGB = literally double the performance
Yes
RGB stands for Really Great Benefit

64gb of ram gives me 20fps increase
Does it really though?

Cool
So, I'm upgrading my motherboard and processor before the time comes when one or both will inevitably die out on me. I'm probably going to spark a fanboy discussion, but which processor should I pick between the i9-9900k and Ryzen 9 3900x?
I know the Ryzen has more cores and threads, but the 9900k has higher clocking speeds, so I'm not entirely sure which would better suit me. I aim to game, edit videos, and stream.
I thought so. I wasn't very familiar with AMD processors, but I just wanted to be sure.
If it were purely gaming, it'd be up to your choice
A lot of people have been leaning on AMD due to recent events
i9-9900k better for games, R9 3900x better for everything else
that's the general consensus
What recent events?
Like AMD is doing great on CPUs pretty much
Their next lineup coming soon this year, etc
And a mysterious GPU that's 20% better than a 2080 Ti
But if the 9900k is better for games, is there any significant difference in its performance when compared to the 3900x?
Okay. I'm just wondering because my budget is strict but also iffy.
If the 3900x is something that'll benefit me in the long run, I'll take the leap with AMD.
yes
It'll benefit you if you do video stuff, streaming, 4K videos
also X570 > Z390
Also, I heard something about how AMD's processors have better heat transfer than Intel's processors. Is that true?
Just wouldn't recommend their GPUs at the moment, driver updates are pretty needed
I think so?
The heat transfer is I dunno
Pretty great for the price I guess
You'll be fine off for a good cooler
Oh, I was never planning to go to AMD for GPUs. I'll stick with my 1070 for the next 10 years.
Ah
Okay, so I'm guessing my current closed loop water cooler might work with the 3900x.
Not sure. I think it's OEM since it came with the prebuilt desktop.
Also, I primarily stick with a 1080p60 resolution for games, so even if the graphic settings are higher, I could live with adjusting them to my preferences.
m o r e
Hot
thanks camera :l
yes
@median moon Main reason for intel being better for games is developers over optimizing for Intel processors
I feel if it weren't for that they would be about the same
But especially games like csgo, aaa games
yeah
In general it's favored for some reason
I would say though for a cpu in this time amd is hands down the best option
Cheaper, same performance
Better in most cases
unless you're after 1080p high refresh rate
Yeah
maybe Ryzen 4000 series will finally tip the scales all the way
1080p 144hz or higher, 1440p 144hz is pretty good for anything that includes a good CPU and a good GPU
Which thermal paste would you all recommend?
Uhh
Lemme remember
Artic Silver 5, there were 2 more
Hey @median moon What was the thermal paste you were getting?
kryonaut
Yeah
Kryonaut
Kryonaut dried out on me within half a year. Temps got a bit higher
heard some people say it's really quick if you go above 70 degrees
so far seems true with my anecdotal evidence
MX-4 seems really balanced for both price and performance. Lasts pretty long and performs fine
Is there anything I should do to prepare for swapping out the motherboard and processor? I feel like I might be missing something.
I was actually gifted a 2x8gb 3200 Trident Z pack.
16-18-18-38
That's cool
It is. I'm also giving a friend my old CPU and processor because his GPU is apparently bottlenecking the rest of his PC. LUL
Just my CPU and processor.
Yeah but what are they >.>
Oh.
CPU is a processor. They have different names
An i7 6700k + a GigaByte motherboard.
Ah
The only name of the motherboard is its model, which is "Z170-HD3P-CF".
Yeah Z170 is chipset
And this is the motherboard I plan on getting: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SW925DR/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
I wonder if my new parts will get here before my backup finishes. π€
nice
Seeing your desk reminds me of how cramped mine is. LOL
It reminds me how messy mine is
That too. LOL
I should really clean my desk...
god I really wish star citizen didn't run like absolute shit
How is Star Citizen?
but it really is fucking incredible to see such huge areas in a game
dude, area 18 is brilliant
it's like cyberpunk 2077 but on a HUGE scale
and that's just one planet
Yeah I know
Oh?
space travel feels great, but anything on-foot is definitely in it's early stages
but I literally almost don't even care
look at this shit
Sexy
Real places in game?
all without loading screens as well
I thought it was a bit of copying the real life world
all the planets and space stations are very different
honestly it's worth the price of admission just as a sightseeing game at the moment
especially if you have a HOTAS joystick system
Ooh
you know coruscant from star wars?
Not really a star wars geek kek
Yeah I get the idea
basically the entire surface of the planet is covered in a giant city
god it's so COOOOOOOOL
plus the entire in-game corporation and economy system is FUCKING AWESOME
i take my m50 through the buildings on hurston
good planet
shtar shitizen is a great tech demo cant wait for the prison sequences next patch
Yeah
Gib Crusader planet
I won $3000 off the superbowl so hello 2nd pc
Won 3000$ off super bowl, hm
$1500 bet
Throw away money
@hollow quarry I'm accepting donations
But betting 1500$, and then winning 3000$ is 1500$
Nicer to say i won $3000
i wish i had money
What canβt i get is the bigger question
Well assuming you're willing to spend the full 3000, uh there isn't much that you can't I guess
LOADSAMONEY probably
Ngl if i have $1500 as throw away money iβm going to spend the full $3000
Hrmm weird star citizen runs really well for me
TBH with new hardware coming out later in the year, you could underspend and easily upgrade
Announcements on GPUs coming in the next month
Ampere should be pretty good, the Ryzen 4000 has to be way better too
Plus he's got enough money to buy a 2080 Ti and 3900X build
3950x
For Navi its March 5th, Ampere its later in the month
Gimme dem 16 cores
I'm still content with 3900x and 1080ti
I'm happy with my 1700 and vega 56
Just oc tje 1700 to 3.9 and flash 56 with 64 bois
Real talk
The Vega cards have the sexiest names
Vega 64 like come on
tell me that's not cool
More interesting than a random sequential number with some letters at the end sometimes
im a fan of FX cards
Fite me
π«
So, that RAM i thought i got for free from Amazon, they realized they didn't charge me for it so they just sent me the bill =/ but at least it's the christmas sale price i originally paid for the first set
after all the BS i went through to get 2 working sets... im not gonna get rid of these <.<
at least i know when time comes to upgrade to uh... DDR5? hyper memory? Organic memory? ill be able to resell this stuff for a decent amount
Dunno if I would call a 400 euro CPU mid-tier.
Mm seems like my pc still likes to crash on me.
that's definitely a mid tier cpu
If 400 is midtier then boy, CPU prices really spiked from a few years ago
Already clean installed drivers, both chipset and graphic card ones. Waiting for new PSU and CPU Cooler and thermals to come in.
On sale, though, different story I guess.
Issue still persist, screen going black on me while playing some "demanding" games. Which, in theory, should be very playable in 1080p high graphics.

Sounds like a card issue
I read the driver details yesterday, seems like its a known issue
Oh hey El Demonio, seems like im back with the same issue lol
Ah
So it's not really because of my hardware failing on me?
If it were failing, it would be worse I think
Mm, I mean at least its not shutting down.
@nimble kite See if disabling Hardware acceleration on Discord helps.
Aye, I'll do that for discord, im not sure if thats a thing for Chrome
I think it is, I would look into it
^ Seems to be the case, no more crashes for me, playing BDO rn
They'll fix it next update I would think, for now that's really just a work around
π£
What is the point of RGB strips?
Aesthetic?
I only ask because I want to try and limit how much stuff takes up room in my case.
Pretty much, it doesn't do anything for performance
Aesthetic/Cosmetic only
In some cases can help you see where to plug in cables in the dark. But that's about it
Iβm just gonna call the lights in my system maintenance lights instead of RGB
That reminds me, the new Red Devil cards from Powercolor has leds for the HDMI/Displayport
Not a bad idea I think
I like that idea
discord so buggy lately
like, i have all notifications off and all my servers muted yet it still notifies me i have unread messages on muted servers
i mean wtf -_- they're muted!
never did this before π¦
Yeah, I've had similar issues when I would join a server.
Are you updated to the latest Discord version?
yea
I would recommend disabling the "Enable Unread Message Badge" setting in User Settings > Notifications.
RGB is nice, not for going the casual rainbow-barf route, but for personalizing your pc to your preferences.
For example I like purple, so my keyboard, case fans, RAM, GPU etc are all lit with purple that I can change to any other color as my mood changes
now, that being said, if your have a preference for rainbow-barf, have at 'er lol
Probably a Hulk fan
I mean, would mine be considered extreme RGB with all my purple? π I don't have any LED strips...yet lol
kek

If you don't have the money, it wouldn't be worth the headache tbh. As far as those custom watercool loops are concerned, the people that are doing that are high end enthusiasts that don't mind the maintenance and tbh risks regarding having such a cooling system.
Ye
I just wanna have a cool fuckin watercooling system
I know the risks and shit
Just dont have the money
I say that cause an Enthusiast that has a lot of extra cash, if an accident happens and half of the system gets ruined: then replacing that hardware likely wouldn't be an issue. Then again I don't know how far warranties get covered in that scenario.
i love this game and am wondering if someone could check my pc specs and tell me if i could play on it
https://www.asus.com/Laptops/X550DP/specifications/
i have no idea how parts and stuff work and what their names mean so yea , the link takes you to my thing
From what I can tell, you're basically reaching Min specs. At the same time its a laptop, so performance could be lesser than the min specs listed #system-specs It might be playable at 720p, but I wouldn't expect much beyond like 30fps
Arenβt those kind of old and somewhat weak?
im kinda an old poor zoomer and cant replace the laptop to be honest , but its worth a shot , thank you for your respond
Thatβs alright. You can ask for help any time
If youβd like, we can give recommend a laptop I guess
I recommend against laptops for gaming unless you intend to play stuff when you're away from home
can not replace what i have , just gotta roll with what i have and hope for the best
Thank you for your input, B0oTYP0unDer76, but Iβm afraid it will not help cookieβs need to fix his or her problem
I have a pink screen every time I load the game please help thank you
were you talking about me? @fleet canopy
Is your GPU lower than what it says in #system-specs
No, I was talking to some guy that was there
So what are your computer specs? @pine torrent
How do I check that?
Windows 10 I'm guessin?
Click on window button, type in βSystem Informationβ
Do you have System information open?
yes
On the left, expand components; then select display
or just open up task manager
Actually yeah that's easier
ok then what
Did you open up task manager?
yes
Open the performance tab
ok
Pretty much the specs will be there
where
What youβre looking for is GPU, CPU, RAM
it will say what your cpu, RAM, and GPU info are
all i see is cpu
Oh?
left side are tabs to switch between
Send a screenshot
oh
the disks are your hard drives
oh ok
ethernet, then GPU
so @vapid crypt what am I looking for now
Well tell us the specs
what is yor CPU?
The names of the GPU, CPU and RAM
is it suppose to say specs somewhere
Yes
above the scrolling grAPH, IT SAYS cpu IN BOLD, AND RIGHT NEXT TO THAT IS THE NAME OF THE CPU
whoops, sorry cap slock
Nice caps
π
lel
always my "a"s
so what?
finger hits both caps and A lol
So there's the name of the cpu at the top, then you have the total amount of memory, and finally the name of the GPU
so what should i tell you
CPU name should start with either AMD or Intel
starts with intel
for example, mine is AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core Proccessor
If you could take a screenshot of the window, that would probably be easier
it starts with intel
the whole thing
yes
Send us a screen shot of it
like Intel i7 6500K or something
Itβll be easier
Ah yes the fabled 6500k... I don't think that exists
probably not, just tossing out label as an example
That's the lost 3 core 6 thread i5
kek
Kek
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5220M CPU @ 2.50GHz is EXACTLY what it says
k, now next to "memory" on the left tab, what number GB does it say?
Okay, so its a laptop then?
yes
yeah
i think
You think?
So no GPU, gonna take a bet itβs 8GB ram
GB says 57%
M processors from intel should be laptops pretty much, no?
Yeah that's their mobile chip designation typically, at least it used to be
so 32GB total
4.5/7.9
k so 8
I knew it lol
Now they use U and H and some weird combination of letters
now down under GPU, click that one and tell us the name like you did with the CPU
H should be AMD now, Intel hasnβt used it yet for newer ones I think?
Uh I could be wrong about H, but they certainly use U
nowhere says GPU
I forgot what the letters are now except K and X
if it doesn't say there is a gpu then you don't have one
Yeah could be a basic laptop
ok then i dont
you're not going to be able to run this game very well on an APU
Intel HD graphics
No...
I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure this game will never launch on any Mac os
macs are a waste of money tbh
Mac is very overpriced
Also Macs might be expensive, but you're mostly paying for the brand
They destroy you with the hardware you get
their hardware isnt any better than anyone else sadly
Poor specs for a big amount of money
and their software is garbage
well i hope it works on mac
then im screwed lol
Youβre better off getting a laptop from like
I donβt know but like gaming brands give good laptops
Good specs for a good price
you could have a decent gaming laptop for a Mac price
so what laptop do you recomend
depends on your budget and where you live
I plan on making a 700 dollar pc
well just any laptop which one'
I mean Asus might be like nearly on par with Apple with their mark ups, but they certainly give you good hardware with their premium gaming laptops
"any" laptops can range from $400 to $3000+ so, need to know your limits
TBH for gaming, a desktop at home is the best for that
$600 higher?
A gaming laptop is when you're away from home, and you want to be able to play your Steam library
Yes
Yes of course
ok so what laptop do you guys have
Well you can't cause you don't own the game Muppy
I donβt have a laptop
oh
Commit shut, I could play the game with my specs
Uh my laptop couldn't run GTFO if I wanted to, but my computer on my desk here certainly can
what is it
I have a large desktop
Well I build it myself
oh
A computer is like those big black boxes with wires and lights and stuff in it
but just google "decent gaming laptops" and find one that suits you that is within the game's requirements
Do you stay at home, and do you have an Ethernet or WiFi internet?
ASUS, MSI, Dell has been making some decent laptops lately
which one of those do you prefer
Then a computer is a good choice, rather than laptop if you donβt really stay out for like 3 days of not coming home
Here if you want to take a look at it https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Y3q48d I have a bad camera so excuse the poor quality
I like ASUS, but that's my preference, they tend to be more expensive
My preferences are what Iβd get from what people recommend, and then I decide which seems good
ok ill try an Asus
just have a good look through them
try to find the best specs for your money
the screen plays a big role in laptops as well
Uh the new Asus one that's coming out with the Ryzen 4000 CPUs start at like 1400 I think
no need for a 4k
Half a year to post it
I know, fashionably late
Yeah, look for a Ryzen 4000 laptop. They are good, and most likely come well off for games
ok I will and thank you guys so much I have to go now lol
you too
Nice to eat you
um
I mean the APUs that they're putting on those are pretty decent, they've only been getting better
Especially after the die shrink
new APU's run better than old dedicated cards, so there's that at least haha
Hah yeah
Guys is a r3 3200g good for games like gta 5 csgo without a gpu i also have 1x8 ddr4 2400mhz and probably i can update to 16 ddr4 2400
I mean, yes and no
CSGO, can run
a 3200g will run CS:GO very well
GTAV, eh
GTAV, not so much
At least 30
I think you would get console level performance on GTA, maybe a bit better with lower settings
you might have a stable 30 on very low settings at 1080p, might have to bump it to 720
But you need to get faster RAM and it has to be dual channel
Probably i will play like at 800 600 or 1024 768
And its crucial that you remember to allocate 2gb to the video
Yeah thatβs good enough
If i put 1 gb vram do the fps decreases?
Its Zen+ get at least 3000
^
how much deditated wham do i haf for a survr
Pff i cant afford that
RAM has come down in price over the past year
last year I paid $350 for my 2x16GB Trident Z, now the exact same are only $230
H-h-how mush dedicated w-wam do I need for u-uhhh m i n e c r a f t ?
I can get 1 8gb 3200mhz for 60 dollars each
There was a time when a single 8gb stick was 90 bucks
Where are you from, and where are you getting that price from
bitcoin mining surged GPU and RAM prices badly, but they're coming down
US is like
Cause I was able to get a 16gb kit, that's 2 sticks of 8 for 65 bucks
2x16GB 320mhz for 70-80$ for a low profile
my prices are Canadian, just to point out
Granted that was from a newegg promo
With at least 16CAS
Hah
Oh I understand that, but I'm referring to prisoner
Cause he's saying a 8gb stick is 80
No its 60
if it's DDR3, it could very well be sadly
Its ddr4
Oh right 60
ah
But i cant afford it
I have a 2x16GB 1Hz CAS 58584847
16gb 2x8 is not 120 though
Fast as fuc boi
Could you link what you're looking at
Im from Uruguay and 60 dollars are like 2000 pesos or something like that
Ah
Well you're estimating at that point
But fair enough, the market is different
I think my buddy from Costa Rica got a Ryzen 2700 for around 200ish USD
Eh actually probably it was 250, it was closer to 170 on sale at the time in the US
And a r3 3200g for rainbow six?
It should run alright
Yeah its an Esport game technically
low settings should get 401fps @1080p
Put that to 1600x900 you might get 60 at times
CSGO, R6S, about every game valve made, should run good enough
Im not playing at 1080p
anything under 1080p will give you more fps
Yeah maybe 600 or 768
letterbox format?
?
isn't 800x600 letterbox or am I just messing that up?
That is 4:3
And for the gpu i will get one in 3 years haga
Itβs easy if you divide it with a number kek
4 is multiplied by 4
well, close anyways haha
