No display?
The rgb doesn't even turn on
Fans don't move anymore
When i push the power button i hear a tiny buzzing
For like 2 seconds
My keyboards still on tho
Uhh
Am i screwed
Maybe not
Did i just break $1600
Not likely
A fan isn't 1600$ lol
Except a jet engine
God, great cooling, but a loud motherfucker
Nah
Nothings budging
A fan not working doesn't mean your PC is fucked
Well it can't be the whole thing
..
Did you install the fans to the correct header as shown in the video
Yessir
The fans spun
Everything was fine
And then like
A minute later
It all stopped
Now i hear a little "eee-EEE-eee" when i push the power button
Well shit this could be anything
Maybe has to do with the thermal paste?
That was one thing that came to mind
Can't know for sure until you have some to replace it
I have no idea what could cause this buzzing sound though
If you're hearing two beeps, then that means your RAM isn't working as it should. Three beeps that repeat after a pause when you turn on your computer indicate a problem with the system memory. However, if your PC is beeping continuously, then it simply means the processor is affected.
No beeps at all
I flip the switch, the keyboard turns on, i push the power button, real small whistling for like 1 second
And then nothing
Huh
Yep
A computer usually makes a weird "whistle" sound if it has detected a problem with the temperature of your processor. This can come from an overheating issue caused by the absence of, or defect in, the CPU/ power supply fans. ... Sometimes, cables from inside your CPU might also be blocking the fan from working properly.
Temp
So it must be improper contact with the coldplate
Its barely even a sound tho
You'll have to get new paste and re seat the cooler
๐ญ
Everyone does it
You face the same thing other PC users got
Having to deal without PC
Yeah I understand, should be no prob though
Arctic mx4 is what they ship with that cooler, you can get a proper tube for like 10 bucks or so
Give or take depending on retailer
You could probably pick it up from a local market?
Obv you guys know better but according to google i may have "crushed the pins" on the cpu
How?
If it was crushed and stuff
My pc worked fine
Then it wouldn't be doing anything period
It can't hurt to check
True, go ahead
It isn't doing anything
Check the CPU
๐ญ
Cmon, if it's fucked, you always got warranty backing you up
How could you crush the pins if you dropped it into the socket correctly?
So one question
The fans spun, everything glowed. I plugged it in to my monitor
And nothing popped up
So i was like aight its cool
And then
You did remove the sticker from the bottom of the cooler right?
I remember hearing that some YouTube tech guy forgot to remove plastic cover
There might be
Some thermal paste
Left in the packet
Should i give it another clean
Then out whats left?
Put*
Likely not enough
But I dunno how much you used, did you apply it like the video shows?
Yup
Cause tbh it's easier just to add it on top of the cpu heat spreader
Welp
Like a pea sized blob
Check the cpu to make sure it isn't damaged
Sure
And also check that the fans are plugged into the header labeled cpu fan
One last thing, next time you screw in the cooler
Ensure you apply even pressure in a criss cross pattern
K took it off
Squirted whatever was left
Onto the cpu
Bc the rest of the paste wasn't dry yet
Ok its all attached
Plugged in
Same thing
Motherboard flashes this time when i flick the switch
F it ima put the old one back
I guess that's better?
Lemme see if it works with the old one
I'm pretty sure yeah
You're pretty sure?
I've been using this pc for like 3 months now
Yeah
Oh then idk
Should I try putting the old cpu cooler back
Oh no
CAS 19
:(
And you did it because you wanted better PC
And you're getting it
And
I love playing lets stress out bc the thing i spent $1600 on doesn't work rn
You will be more glad when it's done :)
It will work though, just gotta find the problem
Ok ima put the old cooler on
If it works with that ima just return the other one
I give up
You what
.>
Ughh
Then could it be pins?
I'm checking now
:/
If not tho
Maybe i spilt a drop onto the mobo while cleaning the paste before?
Idk
Eh
Whats not working?
Idk
give me some details
what have you done
so far
I've been following this loosely
been busy
Tried to put in new cpu cooler
Was a struggle but managed to get it all lookin good
Whats not working though
Plugged in and switched on pc. Pressed power button. Worked for 30 seconds. Fans spun all looked fine
Then switched off
It's failing POST
Now it doesn't spin
The motherboard flashes once when i flip the switch on
My keyboard lights up when i push the power button
But thats it
Do you have a code readout on the motherboard?
It's getting power so that's good
That means it working so far
Takes off old CPU cooler
CPU is stuck onto it so he pulls it off
Pins seemed fine
Plugs in CPU, installing the new cooler
Not enough paste
Goes back to old cooler
Dunno what else
What motherboard do you have Rice?
Had it for 3 months, CPU works with board
:/
Seemed all about this one streamer and Gigabyte support idk
Hm?
I have never heard that word before
Look it up then
huh
@rancid kindle Ngl I'm kind of stumped
The only thing I can think of is the socket on the board might be damaged
if your CPU pins are okay
that or an overtightened cooler
which I dont think will be the issue
If you've not fooled with anything else
and made sure that your PSU cables and everything else is properly seated
that's the only issue I can currently think that it would be
@abstract kite ๐ค
Do you still have a warranty on the CPU and motherboard? @rancid kindle
Idek
How can I help Glass?
What if thermal paste got onto the pin side
clear cmos??
How much did you put on the CPU Rice
Same amount as i had before pretty much
What @warped hedge said is correct too
Do you see the battery on the board
Pull that
And wait 2 minutes
Erm
with no powe r
that will clear CMOS if your BIOS got messed up
Ah
Yes
Ok
bye felicia```
Ok we chillin
kool
I hope it works too
Plz
you might have killed the board
..
If the socket got messed up
Its an expensive table now
I am
Ab
To cry
It worked fine this morning
Then i had to screw it up
Just put the battery back. Mobo now flashes red
Check your power cables
push all of them in
Actually
Unplug
and plug everything back in
The 24pin might
your 6 pin or 8 pin EPS for your CPU might not be completely seated
Unplugged and replugged literally everything
Mobo flashed green now
Time to go find out how to use my warranty
guys im gettimg a new gaming laptop
I also recommend finding your warranty for your chip
aiteee
would someone mind recommending me a good pc to build specifically for gaming, best of the best
@thin kayak I'll get on that with Bee's too when I'm out of this rundown
If you can give me a budget and what you're looking for (example 1080p 144fps), I can put something together for you
dont really have one but as i said i only plan to game, i know that server cpus and stuff liek that go into the several thousands
im fine with spending a couple
@thin kayak Is ray tracing something you want?
@velvet hornet This is a great laptop for the pricepoint you want. It's a bit "gamery", but it pretty top notch.
@thin kayak I'm working on putting a list together now, what currency is it in? CAD, USD?
usd, id prefer a desktop tho
currently i have a 900gen titan and a 9600k?
Hm
damn @abstract kite you really know your stuff
is the currency of that laptop in usd?
@velvet hornet I try to lol
This is my hobby :P
Yes the laptop is in USD. Do you need it in another currency?
no worries ill calculate it myself
but im pretty sure it will still be within my budget
~2800
Yea I'll find a different one
It's overbudget
Honestly dropping it down to an RTX 2060 would be in budget. You'll notice a performance drop but it's nothing game breaking
A 2060 is still an insane card
The Scar III comes in at $2334.87 SGD
with a 2060
honestly i have no clue about computers but im guessing the 9th gen is really good
9th gen intel is alright. Personally I-
wait a minute
are those out yet
give me one second
No I was going to say I personally prefer AMD over intel
but Intel still has hold of the mobile/laptop market
o
That's a GPU made by Nvidia
mmm, the architechture
basically it means better graphics right?
Oh for sure
O ray tracing for minecraft time
Basically lol
btw
Hm?
I'll try to explain this simply
best way to explain, no chip is equal in performance, manufacture will get sued if it does not meet what they say it will due to false advertising, so they lowball their numbers. overclocking pushes your item to the max it can actually go
ohhh
CPUs run at a designated frequency. The higher the number, the faster the processes.
A rough example would be if a CPU was running @ 4GHz, and another chip as @ 5Ghz, the 5Ghz chip would be faster
That is with the understanding that both chips are equal
in cores
so basically using your computer to its upper most limit
threads
and architecture
Yes that's correct. High end overclocking does rely a bit on the silicon quality of the chip though
Yuhh dood
TL;DR
Overclocking a chip (provided you can cool it) will allow you to get faster/better performance
You're pushing more power, so it can go higher
wait doesnt it also harm the chip in a way?
The lifespan degradation of the chip is negligible provided you can cool it
properly
Not sitting at like 95C lol
this is too much oof
Even with a heavy overclock, most chips will last over 10 years
Correction: Electromitigation affects the chip over time, so your overclock will slowly diminish (be less) to prolong componentsโ lifespan over time.
- corrected by Wooza
but im guessing people use overclocking in competetive
way over
getting more bang for your buck
i appreciate your help @abstract kite @thin kayak
Okay. I'll DM you the laptop so you can have it for reference.
With a laptop, you don't need to overclock. Simply put, you probably wont be able to.
My pleasure!
thanks
@thin kayak To answer your previous question
I think it would be best to wait a few more months
and see what 2020 brings for tech
few as in?
Your 9600K and 900 Titan are still pretty good
Wait until the end of march
If you cant wait until then
then yes, we can make a new build
but a lot of the tech that's going to be release may have considerable performance jumps compared to what we have right now
yeah i can wait
Nvidia will be releasing Ampere
dropping down to 7nm
and Ryzen 4000
Might use DDR5
I can't confirm the last one, but it's a rumor going around and I'm thinking it might be true
Honestly if it does, I'm oofed. I bought my stuff with the intention of throwing in a Ryzen 4000 chip ๐คฃ
Hey guys
I wanna upgrade my pc and idk where to begin i wanna choose my own parts this time can someone help me
The pc i have now was a ready to ship one so idk how to choose components properly
Somehow running this on a gtx 480. Think I need to upgrade?
If it runs with no problems then no need to waste money on upgrading imo
Would prefer to get past 720 lol. Tried 1080 and had 20fps
Ouch. Then i think u needa upgrade
@main dove Whats your CPU too?
@abstract kite
@main dove DM me and Iโll help you both at a better time. 4am rn and my brain is mush ๐คฃ
Unsure, friend built it for me, back in 2011 xD
Sure imma send u my specs @abstract kite
@main dove Right click on the taskbar, and open task manager
Expand for advanced details
and go to performance
You should see the CPU name on the top right
Not at pc atm. Can check later
Random unrelated thing I found really useful when guiding people to troubleshooting corners of windows.
windows button + X is really quick and easy to follow.
BearzOhMyToday at 10:22 AM
Even with a heavy overclock, most chips will last over 10 years
No. Electromigration it's called what overclockers fear
While it doesn't 'kill' a chip, it will over time it will use more and more volt to run at the given frequency. At one point the CPU needs so much volt to operate normally that it will use very aggressive voltages. THis may not kill the CPU but integrated components may get damaged (most often the IMC which is very sensitive)
Electromigration also has nothing to do with temps. E.g I put 1.6v on CPU and it's still 30ยฐ under full load electromigration will still kick in
Also to add: The smaller the size of transistors, the less volt is usually required. Devices that consume less volt are even more prune to be affected by electro migration.
Take an example of the i7 2600k/2500k which Lithography is 32nm. You can easily put 1.45 if not 1.5v (not sure it may be the upper limit) on the CPU.
Now take the 4th generation. A 4790k for example which Lithography is 22nm. You cannot put 1.45v or 1.5v on it, it will very quickly hurt the chip. Max. voltages I think are 1.425v. It's not much of a difference but for CPU it is
hey guys, cant seem to launch the game, something up with the server?
Nvm, sorted.
Electromigration isn't accelerated by temperatures directly, but for you needing to run at higher voltages to maintain the same frequencies, the temps rise as well. Eventually you're unable to cool it and have to downclock.
yes. I was just correcting the above statement cause if someone starts overclocking with this in mind, he might wonder 2 years why the CPU wont work or does no longer work with the overclock he applied
generally you dont need to worry about temps. CPU have functions to prevent damage by high temps. But there is no protection from adding to much voltages to components
unless maybe you come up with the idea to give 12v to the cpu :p
Well, there is, but every single overclocking guide says to disable it or raise the limits to the max possible
I don't blame them, because it can be really tedious deciding the precise limit for the wanted results
Really? Why. it's not like you ever use such high voltages. Even extreme overclocking settings have for me always been in the limit of the mainboarfd without disabling the protection
todays OC guide are maybe a 1/10 in length compared to old OC guides ๐
I have current limits in mind
i checked on my mobo, it allows me to input 1.7v without disabling. THat's adventurous haha
Talking out the top of my head was too vague. Not current, Power limits
Package Power Limit1 - TDP(Watts)
Defaults are under a hundred, and every guide I've ran into always says just go 9999.
No doubt this doesn't compare to older days when quite often OC'ing included modding hardware.
The whole topic of OC'ing was always a fascination, but would never dabble in it much myself because wouldn't forgive myself killing hardware over not so necessary or practical gains.
Once upon a time we had the infamous FSB (Front Side Bus) and Northbridge.
It made overclocking a lot more "difficult" compared to now where it's basically just the multiplicator you play with. Hardware overclocking was fun but you are right very unforgiving when you do something wrong :p
Ok so
Based on a long night of researching
How do i clean thermal paste off the motherboard and the cpu pins
ah shit
he's done it lads
well, first of all
use the purest alcohol you can possibly find
up to 99% pure ipa
I think it goes without saying to be REALLY gentle with it
Oh boy
don't clean the cpu pins if your cpu still works
I wonder if he actually followed the apply thermal paste to connector holy fuck
Remember kids, don't add thermal paste onto that at all
Lemme fix that
most thermal paste are not electrically conductive and thus it won't harm your CPU.
But not all thermal paste are non electrically conductive so you would have to find out about your paste exactly
LOL
Yeah, but I still hope he didn't even do this haha
He was kind of vague about it to me
Because he either didn't get the paste off without messing it up quite a bit
Or he followed this guide here
Hopefully it's just crusted bits falling off the old application into the socket holes or something preventing good pin contact.
can't even imagine how to clean that
๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I applied for a warranty replacement of my motherboard
But if its the cpu then that wouldn't help
@fleet canopy if you look closely at that video, that's not thermal paste
that's Hellmann's mayonnaise
LGA's (Land Grid Arrays -> Intel) are usually easier to clean than PGA's (Pin Grid Arrays -> AMD)
but in any case it's very risky to bend pins.
can you make a photo of your saucy CPU / mainboard?
There was talk earlier about Ryzen 4000 possibly using DDR5; I don't think this will be the case. Uh the earliest I can see DDR5 coming into the consumer market is maybe next year or even the year after. We don't actually know when 4000 will be out, could be this year or early next year. Also its AMD, Ryzen 5000 will be on AM5 on 5nm using DDR5 maybe PCIe5 if that's ready, with a release date of May 5th
Ryzen 5000 releasing May 5, with DDR5, needs 5GHz RAM, PCIe 5.0, 5nm, Ryzen 5 5500X will be similar to 3700X, and also will have 5 cores and 25 threads, and performs best on 55 Celsius
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7GHz 6-Core. CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i PRO. Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-G Micro ATX LGA1151. RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3333. Storage: Kingston UV500 480GB M.2-2280 SSD. GPU: PNY GeForce GTX 1080 8GB XLR8 Video Card.
Sexy
Ok so i cleaned out all the paste that was dripped on my motherboard
Left it to dry ima try it when i get home tonight
I am curious what's in the background. This cases remind me of the old mining days ๐
It was dripping onto the motherboard, huh... well good thing Mx-4 isn't conductive
Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12C/24T @4.3Ghz
32G Corsair Vengeance RGB @ 3200Mhz
Enermax Liqtech Tr4 360mm AIO (push/pull config fans)
Aorus x399 Xtreme motherboard
Aorus RTX 2080TI Liquid Cooled with 240mm rad (push/push config fans)
Samsung 970 EVO 500g NvME
2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
EVGA 1600w T2 PSU
All fans Corsair ML120 RGB
Saw a tech channel and had to post lol.
@brisk badger Thats very interesting. Never knew about that at all. Thanks for sharing! I learned something knew today. ๐
@analog fossil Hows your enermax cooler fairing? Heard those had liquid that liked to gunk up the pump or something similar
@vapid crypt AMD has confirmed 4000 will release this year.
I'd still say it's early 2021 to be honest
Unless they've been working on it at the same time as the 3000 series, I'm not really gonna expect them to release 2020
I mean, there is like a whole year ahead of us
Youโre right.
However Ryzen 1000 was released in 2017. Ryzen 2000 was released in 2018. Ryzen 3000 was released in 2019.
AMD is using a โleapfrogโ type of release to push better products quicker. Itโs one of the factors that has allowed the company to quickly overpower Intel.
That reminds me
When was the 3000 released?
Feels like a year ago /s
Like mid year?
So, there is high odds that AMD will release 4000 in 2020 along with thr CEO already confirming
Mid year yes
July for 3000
April for 2000
March for 1000
Iโm estimating an August/September release
Ungh
Ima go home in like 6 hours
And see if cleaning it fixed it
Still haven't heard back for the warranty
I have ubuntu on my laptop, so I figured I'd either go with arch or debian for my desktop
Arch didn't like my ram
So debian it is
The only thing that's been confirmed from what I've heard is that we will hear more, but yeah there's a good chance its this year.
Seeing as the laptop stuff is in this quarter
btw will nvidia release after ampere launches like RTX 30xx Super editions?
Thats TBA atm
just wanna know so i can just save up until SUPER editions come out
and i wanna know how long after ampere launches the super edition will be released
when did turings SUPER edition come out?
July
no
ok
ty
Not worth the wait
Because when 3000 Super/Ti releases, youโll want to wait for the next installment coming the year after that
So you end up always waiting
my boss agreed i can get new parts over him Pog
๐
so im getting without VAT
yayyy
and never enjoying the products lol
Thats great to hear!
๐ผ
waiting is indefinitely the better option
RTX 3080Ti is gonna be cheaper than the 2080Ti right now?
$1200
kk so
so like 950ยฃ i think
950 x 0.72
1000$ for lowest priced 2080 Ti
multiply those
im not good with conversions
xd
1100$ for a good 2080 Ti
wow i'm REALLY not good with conversions
750 seems a bit low
750-900โฌ
for what a 3080ti could give
depends
nono this is without VAt
XD
like
u know
- %25
etc
Still 900 even seems low
we shall see
i hope i can get it atleast for 900โฌ
if its above that im going for 3080
its insane
the prices in croatia for
new 7700k + 1080ti build
like 2200โฌ XD
Barf
All these people who think 3080Ti will be under 1.2Kโฌ LOL
@jade ermine no no XD
ill actually get it via my boss company
without paying for Fee's + VAT
๐
hence why im saying
Ahh alright
Who knows, We dont know what they will charge for it
What about the 2080 Super?
inb4 1000โฌ for 3070
I mean it will be expensive because 2080Ti sold like hotcakes
i am currently using 2080 super as refrence example for pricing for 3080
2080 Super is 700$ USD
So you could just get that now
Or pick up 2080 Ti
Because waiting isn't worth it lol
mmm first im gonna sell my current build
and then work as much as i can
and get the budget up
They're still gonna have to go through the whole drivers update process
btw @jade ermine how good is the cooling and noise of your corsair 570x
and sry for pinging ur just the only one with the same exact case i wanna buy
true mayo
we shall see
And plus, 2080 Ti can do anything on 1440p 144hz, can do 4K 60, I don't see a reason to wait
Or 2080 Super
Airflow is nothing special with this case @abstract kite
get 2080TI, then wait for 3080TI, then wait for 4080Ti, ad nauseum
4k 240hz in 2077
8k*
i might survive till that @vapid crypt XD
Not really. O11 wasn't out when i bought this so it is whatever
Well so would I maybe
Nvidia 67003ULTRASUPERMAX Tiii
The o11 dynamic is really good from what I've seen of it
Barf
There's a XL variant I think that one is the XL
There is XL version out now too
Not to be mean, it's the airflow looks ass
XD
yeah
also its made with watercooling in mind
It works well with an air set up as well
indeed
Who makes that?
Someone mentioned 4 front fan case
Yes
Brings this abomination to mind
Haha
Oh uh
kolink big chungus
That reminds me of a certain cougar case
yes very meme name
Clearly superior
Holy shit they went next level
I prefer the snail case over boat or pyramid from lian li
That's the version 2 model
Hahaha
If Autobots turned into PC cases
oh yes
oh god stop it
Haha
PC case
XDDDDDDDD
deepcool quadstellar
I forgot Deepcool made cases
Vroom
unlucky one last thing
my current case is zalman Z11 plus... is corsair 570x better than it
;D
Just to give you example how unit this thing is
im looking here for the umm noise lvls
oh no
Haha
Yes
Yikes
beaver case
(Wasn't me dw lmao)
bruv
People out here building whack pc while mine is as standard as it gets but doesn't work
tbh mine is a mess
literally
sec
dammit
XD first ever build
also i know the ram placement
changed it a week after
when my BIOS was like WTF u doing BRO
bang bang
tbh fuck it im gonna get it
wait um lucky u got enabled DM's right?
discord
Get what?
I don't see why it shouldn't be here
what should
Oh yeah nevermind
XD
@jade ermine Iโve seen your PC before but its still something to behold.
God its gorgeous.
๐ฆ idk what this
means
@abstract kite ๐
Means that if youre using the M2 slot, one of your standard Sata cable slots is disabled
so i wont be able to use HDD?
Just for that one sata port
A hybrid drive?
ok fek
I don't think its worth it
z390 elite
Oh ok
if i will do nvidia build
not decided yet
You mean Intel?
:3
amd ftw
we shall see
ill see i have phobia of amd tho
i hope ill get rid of it
๐
AMD is jamming
Could wait for the Ryzen 4000
And they're like price to performance king
ill wait for both tbh
Its the start of a rough time for Intel, which hopefully clears up next year
u see u know
Well as far as desktop consumer chips are concerned
Ughh how u buy a car rigjt
and u love their mark
etc
its reliable
so far i always been on intel x nvidia
I pretty much knew Ryzen was great from the start
What does the KS price go for?
aka now just exchange rtx 2080 super for rtx 3080 upcoming
apperently more than regular
๐
kek
atleast in croatia
9900K price dropped from 500$ USD to 450$ USD
and in croatia its like 600โฌ
You should be able to set it to your country on the site
ya
its like 583 smth
with fees and
import
bla bla bla
but im getting the whole setup i sent the pic
from my boss company
without those fee
and VAT
for about 1300โฌ
without gpu
with gpu it should cost around 1900โฌ
actually im lying
1038โฌ is without gpu
with gpu its 1700โฌ
Hm
so basically
xD im gonna be getting a pc as if i bought from USA
Kek
causee in USA including everything fees
u get the same
๐
but in croatia i would pay like minimum 2500โฌ
๐ต
Some are shitty taxes
Some are cool
US is just like any other country, just has a better economy
Taxes aren't cool
^^
Monopoly is real life simulator
thars me when seeing prices for rtx 2080ti in croatia
Get gud or go home
2080ti in croatia is 1600-800ยฃ
When I buy things online I've really only had to pay sales tax for like buying stuff from Amazon
โฌ*
ill actually have to get umm
my cooler from amazoj
n
everything else from my boss
brb
I saw a video of someone getting the cheapest 2080ti, it was like 1000 canadian or something. It was like an OEM part from an Alienware, blower shrowd cooler. Yeah it ran pretty fucking hot
My dream is EVGA card
that sht gets me
MMMMMMF
but hey yeah.. its thicc n hawt
cooling hawt
Gigabyte is great
i hab it
Just the boards are ass and support seems to be ass
if i were to choose
i would go for AORUS rtx 3080 or evga
my boss is nice
i was like Sir could i get a gpu over you
he was like
Let me know when they are out
๐
โค๏ธ
Bur yeah ima go sleeph
gngnngng
if anyone here has decent experience with boot protocol on windows/linux
please help me
As in how to do a boot, or did you not boot correctly?
I cannot for the life of me get any distro of linux to dual boot with Win10
it either flashes a read error and freezes or goes black and refuses to post
Are you using the Grub Bootloader ?
I am not
....
I'm just booting from an iso I stuck on a USB stick I made in Rufus
it goes as far as the install screen then fucks off somewhere else
ohh shit, is that necessary?
as in enable it in my bios?
I
will try that
yeah, UFEI has not worked up to this point other than with debian
What distro is it you're using ?
and debian refused to remember that the partition I made for it existed
I'm trying with Ubuntu atm, but I really want to use solus
solus is one of them that just lets me select "install" or whatever then goes black
Honestly I've never heard of Solus
I almost wanna use a deb distro just because that's as far as I've gotten
solus is a GNOME distro
I would recommend just setting legacy boot mode in BIOS, then try LiveBoot Ubuntu off the USB
wait shit no, I'm using BUDGIE solus
If it works then you should be fine with the installation
No
what do I use to make the boot disk
