Hitting 300 in R6S without compromising
Probably like 100 like I said earlier, the guy complaining about the fps has the same specs
Kek
I get an average of like 55 frames on gtfo
And using a similar spec monitor too
jesus tinted
I believe I got like 250-325FPS on R6S though
Without compromising.
My fps can get that low but only when hordes of enemies are spawning and running about
Basically the 1% low
But you can't exactly say CSGO is even demanding
its not
Its single threaded, and how old at this point?
Like it should be way easy to hit 300FPS
So if you're an esports fan and praise CSGO/R6S so much
Just get a 240Hz monitor
Sub-1080p isn't an disadvantage in CS.
yup
I just think its dumb to have the same standard for all games
I gotta say though
I'm kinda disapointed in the fact that gtfo really sucks performace wise
I get better frames in sniper 3
It's early access still though
Can't really speak for how well Unity does either
So it seems the game is pretty stable, only ever seen 1 mass crash of 3 people, but that was because of a bug. How does the game preform on a medium-low end build?
Do you have specific hardware in mind?
I get lines on them, but on a banding test, I get zit. @topaz timber
Any visible squaring or such in the white is just the phone being inept. It's some kind of reflection, you can see it follow across the gradients, as it so shouldn't if it was due to the gradient.
It's supposed to be the same thing.
its not
could u make like a 5 sec clip of that blizzard logo going in and fading away?

im about to buy a dell monitor if its smooth
general>settings>camera
this is my old 24" it has some banding but i can live with it
the other 2 monitors it was as bad as the picture i linked above
Yeah. Still, I dunno. I know what you mean and can see it, but without actually seeing what you mean by bad or good, then I can't compare it.
i mean if u play GTFO and in the dark areas u dont see a ton of banding and pixelation(squares sometimes) then you are good 2 go
If you like these kinds of games.
Preferably with a friend.
Dunno if this helps. I don't see it creating lines or anything.
Dell Gaming S2716DG.
how do u calculate the watt % for a pc
google wattage calculator
Watt percent?
Wut
Just measure power drain from outlet.
Wattage is the constant. U*I=P. If you have an outlet plug Wattage measurer, it'd show it.
But it's likely Voltage/amperage measurable without larger issues, nor need for more than multi/volt/amperage-meter
where should I get a license for windows 10? My brother got his off G2A for pretty cheap but i heard that place is pretty sketch
G2A is the most sketchiest thing I've gone to lmao
All those key reseller sites are sketchy
When it comes to windows keys, I heard a lot of them are OEM keys ripped from pre-built pcs, Dells and stuff like that
even if they came from the microsoft site?
Well Microsoft of course sells keys to their own products. That makes sense. You would obviously pay a lot more than if you were to say get a key off G2A or Kinguin like that, its just the legitimacy of those keys are very questionable. As it is if you're a student, going to college and what not, I think you get a heavy discount from microsoft; and Microsoft Office for free
i dont get cpu culling in this game. can set it to extreme or low and i dont see any change in cpu load.... does it really do anything?
I've noticed my gpu having less utilization overall I guess
hmmm my gpu remins at 100% load
Mine goes up to 100% regularly, but its not always 100%
And I run the cpu culling at extreme, maybe you have to restart the game to ensure the settings stick?
I'm having trouble booting up the windows 10 installation but I have the boot installed in my flash
The game froze at system assets initializing
My pc was just installing the drivers then soon after it finished the screen blacked out but the pc is still running. Is this normal?
Yes this is normal
The screen will black out for a bit but the screen will come back
It's just it's been out for a while now lol
I'd say about 7 mins should it take longer? And hi again
Hmm. I don't think it should be taking that long. Give it a bit more time
After about 12 minutes I would be worried
Something might have gone wrong
Yeah and soon after the LEDs for the mouse and keyboard have went dark and the rgb for the ram has went to a solid color
I dont know if that means anything or
Oh and the mobo too
Reset the PC
By the switch or the hard reset?
just by the switch
Should I start it back up or let it rest for a bit?
You can start it back up
Hm how do you run cap files?
You need CAP files for the Asus bios yea?
I think I've downloaded them when I first booted the pc but
I'm trying to make the program files for the hdd but I'm not sure where to start
Do you have two drives?
And are you trying to get the second one to work?
@dense raft
Yeahhh I've accidentally installed some of the drivers on the Ssd is there a way to move that to the hdd?
500gb ssd and 2 tb hdd
Just transfer the files?
Once I do that the d drive should look like the c drive?
I think the main issue I have with this is if windows does that automatic update and it uses my ssd
What drivers are you necessarily trying to install?
Like gpu and motherboard drivers and moving them from the ssd to hdd
Alright and for the windows updates? I'm able to choose where they go?
They should go to the same drive that windows is installed on
You won't ever need to choose where the windows updates go
they'll add themselves onto the OS itself
Oh okay so any programs I decide to add I'll just put them on the hdd and there shouldn't be any issues?
Yes
Games and such are perfectly fine to go onto the HDD
But your SSD should be where you put your important applications, drivers, and OS on.
Oh okay so I guess that answers all my problems lol
The only issue I have now is the aura sync with the motherboard but that doesnt really ruin the function
Oh my bios wasnt updated to the latest version
Any good mics you guys recommend
If you switch the OS from C: to D:, it won't change it name, but the Windows logo will be at D:
it is all about personal preference
Not always I guess
If they want a good mic as in it can go for a long time, keeps it worth, and look nice, then yeah
I have had a blackweb headset for over 2 years and it is still holding strong
Mine is a mic with a desk stand
Similar to what Shroud has I think?
I didn't get it because shroud or anything like that, my brother just had it lying around
I can say it's been good, but the wire could use some replacement, because every time I mess it up a bit, it'll disconnect or give a weird ass static
But it should be good if you buy a new I guess
I prefer headset speakers so you do not have your game sounds transmitting through the microphone as you play and also do not cause echo loops if someone else talks while you do
headset speaker and microphone combo that is
o.o
Yeah having a built in mic is
Just bad
I don't think I could even set that up myself
I know people who still have the old style microphone on a little stand on top their desk
me. i hope one day my buddies have enough and buy me a new one :p
I have my mic with this stand thing
a cheap walmart headset is better than those
very true, but those old mics are just horrible.
perfect for asmr
amazon links are interesting often
oh no I mean older style than that
You can take off that thing at the end and put any mic there with a weird ass spider web holder
This thing there
so old I cannot find pictures of them
was that an afiliate link @fleet canopy
Affiliate link?
oh I found some, had to google search "computer microphones from the 1990's"
if someone purchases that item or something else on amazon for some time, you get money
but nvm, link is just veryyy odd
I don't know tbh, I've never really heard of those kind of links before
usually if an amazon link ends with ?tag=number, then its an afiliate link
tag=hyprod-
Has a 20&linkCode after that, but it's not connected
tag=hyprod-
20&linkCode
Like this
Yeah
No?
I don't work lmao
And the fact I didn't even know what an affiliate link was should prove I'm not
you dont need to work, well to become affiliate you need to do something
idk i am not the discord police i dont care. made my own experience with amazon affiliates. either you got this link sent, or created it yourself
No?
this is a normal amazon link
I probably used Amazon before, but no one sent me anything of that
yours tells me that you came from another product to this page and that its an affilate tag whoever hyprod is
anyway
Does clicking on a direct amazon shopping link on search do that?
hmm depends. if you got sent an affiliate the past 48 hours and then visit amazon again indepently the affilliate may still get money for purchases
amazon links are interesting. always look twice when someone sends them π
Jesus 1340 pages of your messages. I dont know whats going on but i seen u posted 2 amazon links and both are affiliate links. Either you are very smart or your pc was compromised. These are 100% affiliate links
Hyprod and pcpapi are the IDs
Well idk what the fuck they are lmao
Hey guys. Looking to build a new PC for $1000. AMD everything is prefered. Which proc/gr.card should I center it around?
Lemme make you a part list and you can edit it however you'd like
Will you do overclocking?
SSD is prefered, but if budget is an issue then SSD for win10 and HDD for games+media
i currently have nothing to re use
Oh alright
thanks for helping me out!
Do you have any monitors?
Oh wait you don't seem to have a mobile phone indicator on your profile, so you already have a monitor I guess?
@true solstice
Cool
i also already have KB and mouse
thank you!
The Corsair case already comes with fans
3600 is newer gem, and it's a pretty great CPU
It's also more better than a 2700
can I bookmark the link and will it still be there when I revisit?
You're welcome
I'm a bit late. @fleet canopy has a great list, however I think a single M.2 1TB SSD is better than 1 SATA SSD at 256GB and 1TB of spinning rust.
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/32twYH
As for 2700 vs 3600, the 2700(x) will do multi-tasking somewhat better, but the 3600 will game better.
anyone know if the new mbp 16 inch can run gtfo?
Link to specs?
Not that useful, since laptops often throttle. However, it seems to be a somewhat recently well designed in terms of thermals.
@merry sapphire It will probably run GTFO fine. Any reason you'd consider a mac for gaming, considering their high price and low performance compared to many other laptops? Or even a small desktop?

?t lfg
Hello! If you are unaware, we have Looking For Group (LFG) channels to help users group up and play the game. They are located here: #lfg-north-america / #lfg-latin-america / #lfg-eastern-europe / #lfg-asia / #lfg-oceania.
If you are unsure of how to create or join a lobby, please see the instructions here: #how-to-matchmake
I think people should spend some minutes doing research before asking straight away. Or at least make a proper sentence with all specs included. Mac people should not be helped at allπ
That's a nice ideal, but completely unrealistic. You can help people make the right decisions, but you can't make someone think.
@young estuary I use a Blue Snowball mic and its been nice to me for two years now.
Sometimes people have to make mistakes to start learning aswell even with help included
Thats when they start thinking about their choices and decisions they make in life
are blue yeti microphones good mics for the price?
I wouldn't know, but I doubt its worth it if its USB
Blue Yeti is not a good mic (you can get better stuff for the same price), and somehow it managed to be popular :/
My friend uses one for their pod cast.
They say its really good for what they do.
podcast?
if you just want it to discord I suggest you get a cheaper one. Else go check Eposvox mic reccomendations.
You can buy a decent mic, and with some plugins make it sound really good
From what I understand USB mics are effectively "bottlenecked" by well... the USB. The sound quality is only gonna be so good. No sense in spending 100 bucks just to limit the quality
There is an XLR variant, wouldn't know if its better than its contemporaries though
If you get a 3.0 one, that's 5gbps.
That should be enough data.
Unless you're recording an orchestra.
3.0 don't you mean 3.4 Gen 3 or whatever its called now?
@dense raft it all depends on what you want it for. But to summarize, don't buy a blue yeti. If you need it to be USB look for something cheaper or better quality for what you are paying. There are tons of mic recommendations on google/youtube, or if someone knows more than me be free to give your opinion
Oh no I was just joking about the stupid naming scheme for USB
I still haven't seen a problem really with blue yeti.
Iβm shooting for an Audio Technica BP40 as my next mic upgrade
Gonna take a while, but itβll be good.
USBs do limit sound quality, but keep in mind that on games and discord, your quality is also limited by bitrate.
So unless you stream or record audio, USB mics can be perfectly fine.
Forgot to mention a crucial detail.
USB mics can be perfectly fine within a certain price range.
$100 for a USB mic is a ripoff
If the mic in question has an XLR alternative, and you already have an AI or can afford one, buy the XLR version.
Yeah that was the entire point of what I was saying. As an example I think the AT 2020 is around the same price. The thing is though everyone and their momma buys the USB Yeti
Shit I can't specifically find the XLR variant either
Unless the one that's over 250 is the just the one
Audio Technica is honestly better quality than Blue imo
They end up making much higher end products
Bearz why dont you just go for the Shure SM7B at that pricepoint?
Bias but honestly that's a good choice too
I've yet to make my final decision
I have to get the money first lmao
For voice chat and similar, position matters a lot more than microphone quality. Get it as close as possible without being in the 'wind path'. I have mine clipped to my beard. It's a 3β¬ tiny POS connecting to the analog mic in on my motherboard. People have told me it sounds better than 100β¬++ mics. That's just placement. Because it's so close, sensitivity can be set very low, so no background noise. If you have a β¬500 mic, but it's sitting next to your mechanical keyboard, it's gonna be a really bad experience.
Placement, placement, placement! xD
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Agree to disagree
Not necessarily on placement... That's a key factor.
But the quality of the microphone is also a factor.
Lapel mics can have decent quality, but they're not going to compare to phantom power mics or the like.
sorry to ask again but im still having the issue of being unable to play some steam games where either
A they crash when trying to launch
B they soft crash the computer and force it to reboot
any recomendations?
i'd say microphone wise its a bit of both tbfh
if you can clip your mic to your beard, gg's you just destroyed the system
and you can fight the "next to your keyboard" problem to some extent, like using a cardioid microphone, so the sound in the back of it picks up less
nevermind finally found how to fix it
sometime the game cant detect my shift key even though it work perfectly fine for everything else
anyone know how to fix this ?
the only solution for me so far is to uninstall keyboard driver and restart my laptop which is something i dont want to do at all
what kind of keyboard are you using?
i-rocks
lol no its not
im looking at the brand now and i have to say it looks horribly cheap. ( not condemning you) . I would have to say your problem lies with the make of your keyboard not any software from the game
i know that it's cheap
i'm not exactly a rich boy with a powerful computer
as i said im not condemning you. I know the struggles bro ive been there. i would look into something like a steel series Keyboard as they are very inexpensive and are very well made
Does the shift key works fine in other games or when u type in notepad etc?
and you can create rooms in the channel by languages, English, German, Russian, Chinese it will be better for people than in the regions

Got a network problem and need help. I need to establish a VPN connection to my home and access my router. I successfully establish the VPN connection and when trying to access my router, it doesn't work and instead I connect to the router which network I am currently in. Both of these routers share the same local IP.
I can verify that the VPN is work else, I can ping any other device that is in my homenetwork and so on.
thanks for any hint
Oh, I dont use any layer VPNs (ipsec, l2tp) but use OpenVPN (layer 6? I forgot lol)
Just built my kali linux portable cybersecurity kit.
3 wifi adapters on it too for mobile bluetooth jacking and mouse keyboards
Pretty cool
Found my issue: NAT Hairpinπ©π
I really should use ipv6. NAT sucks big times
Nice kali setup but a GUI? π³
@spiral hill Why not a laptop?!
almost like they need it to do cybersecurity things & linux is god
Funny thing is I heard from a tech YouTube channel say that gamers will use Linux more because of yadayadayada games on steam for linux, and a bunch of shit
Its great. But still crap in 2019 for gaming. Proton needs more time
Also this setup for bluejacking? Doesnt this look funny (and potentially suspicious) when you sit in public in ~10m range of your victims?
Bluejacking is also mostly fixed in most devices
@willow ingot Try to look for a Logitech K120, cheap and widely available keyboard that allows enough simultaneous keypresses.
Your issue is most likely not having N-key rollover on your keyboard. I assume you can press 2 keys fine, but any more it doesn't register.
e. x. walking diagonally and trying to sprint/jump or both.
It's very rare for cheap keyboards to have n-key rollover. You can test it here to make sure
http://gadzikowski.com/nkeyrollover.html
Is the cursor showing up on top of the game? Or is the aiming slow/jagged. Or is it something else?
What the fuck?
Yellow keyboard, no-no
Pikachu on it? No-no
Here's a REAL gaming keyboard :)
Hmmm any recommendations for a new mic/headset? Using the Cloud Stinger (hyperx) but I'm looking to upgrade to something more fancy/better
Can get any good mic from Walmart for pretty cheap, and audiotechnica has pretty great audio imo for headphones
@abstract kite beyerdynamics dt 770 pro, any variant, and any near identical design. Should be about 150β¬Β£$ or so. Some of the best audio quality you can get for under 500β¬Β£$. No gaming BS, no branding, no marketing. Just solid build quality and solid sound. The people I know that fo audio professionally swear by those because they're very cheap for what you're getting, and just cheap enough to be within rang for most consumers. Especially if you dont want to buy a new headset every year because they fall apart...
As for mic, if it's for gaming/voice chat usage, any cheap mic will work fine as long as you get it really close your sound hole! antlion mosaic is a bit expensive, but works as an addon to any headset! If you have a beard, a cheap lapel clipped to your beard works great too! Some steel wire can be used to make a cheap AF arm for a small, cheap lapel mic too!
For the DT 770 if you have no intention of getting a DAC or amp, should avoid the high impedance(Ξ©) variants. Especially if you ever plan on using headphones anywhere else than your home PC. Choosing your DAC and/or amp is a whole 'nother can of worms though.
you guys help with problems like this?
sometimes helps uninstalling older/all Visual C versions (windows + x , apps and features, reboot and try reinstall) . Theoretically only need newest version, should support older stuff also.
Yep. Also doing the command "sfc /scannow" can help. Also good cleaning cache files with a tool
The weird part is I don't have it installed in the first place yet it still says it's trying to find it lol
So uninstall the x64?
can get rid of both , 2019 is last version anyways
yeah i think i tried that before and i did a system restore after that
it gave me this but for the x86 i didn't get this error
i have a theory couldn't I grab these files from another pc that has these files and it would work?
I would not recommend this.
Also VC has different files for x86 and x86-64
Maybe try it in safe mode
Else if nothing works find the .msi file somewhere and navigate the installer to its location
Be careful when browsing for the file on the internet. Check the website where you download it from
I believe by just installing the Visual C++ file, you're causing yourself to make any program that needs it completely useless
An .msi file is usually an installer
a couple games on my pc are already unplayable that need that lol
Also do you have a site youd recommended to find that file? I'm not sure where this is in the Microsoft website
are you forcing it to install as administrator ?
You tried installing VC 2019 x64 already? Independently
right click installer and run as administrator
His window will pop up automatically by an app needing VC very certain
x64 should be the one for modern Intel /AMD cpu's (ARM64 is for ARM cpu's , low power laptops / workstations)
this is what pops up during that process
search for %ProgramData% open the folder, find that location {0D folder
right click it > properties > security
should be set like this , for everyone
Yes opn file location
SYSTEM & Administrator is FULL Control
need to do it that way as it's a hidden folder
Users the same as everyone
try copy paste the {0D name whare the installer wants to go to , creat a folder with that name
C:\ProgramData\Package Cache{0D ......
Pls accept friends request so i can send you mine files
pretty sure it's x86 and AMD64 rufen
or x86-64 for the current basterdized fuk all, who knows with theia rguments
x64 is technically not correct but most people understand it that way and its easy to write
Rufen got it workin for me π
Great. What was the issue in the end?
Rufen sent me a copy of his files and linked a website to me to repair it
corrupt 2015 C+ , after that got repaired with the installer , 2019 got installed also
x86 is the original arch that AMD has a license from intel with, AMD64 are the instruction add ons that intel got due to that cross license from AMD
som x86 and AMD64 are the technicals, but you can blur it as x86-64....
is a sysadmin and some times that crap matters
I still recall college yelling at me I have AMD crap installed on my pc π
fucking lol
I got intell.. was also a folder with AMD64 instructions
yep
AMD licenses x86 from intel
intel licenses AMD64 from AMD
and there is a LOT more there
yup its there thanks again lol
now a beer π
there's a massive cross license agreement, ARM types have a same one
but it's less fucking confusing then getting into UNIX
waiting for day that ARM come with there own spin to it
POWER vs SPARC vs Itanium
Itanium is dead
but HP UX is still alive
shakes fist
rufen, they won't, it's a different arch
for there own processors ofc
the hell will come when apple drops intel and moves their macbook series to their ARM stuff they run ipads off
and they are moving that way
arm64 is out and a thing
but samsung apple qualcomm et all have their own take on it
it's the windows of procs, it's shitty and each has their own stink
already is happening in some fronts if i'm to believe Coreteks videos
but apple is already quasi public of ditching x86 completely and moving it all to custom arm
facebook, google, amazon, all are custom arm as well
so if you work in IT and aren't a developer, and don't already touch RISC based unix, or custom ARM on the admin side
hey i'm costumer also :D, pets mediabox π
welcome to the fucking bread line and homelessness in a few years
yeah, I have it as well, but it's eating the server side of things and the enterprise side of things quick
arm based cloud instances, even on AWS
clobber xeon and epyc instances
performance per watt, and sometimes just flat out raw
and for the crap you can't use ARM (SAP instances) you wouldn't touch x86 with a 30 foot pole, it's all POWER AIX stuff
yah was surprised at the amount thy have in servers market and are gaining.
google, facebook, amazon, all have custom ASICs based off it
and that's why
also post US fiascos with Bush and Trump
foreign governments do not want US made stuff anymore
they are spinning their own chips now based off ARM as a security and stability issue
us tech products cannot be trusted again after those fiascos and most nations agree it all needs to go, even down to the hardware level
so they change is coming
Did the US ever create hardware in their country?
Its proven that hardware created in china is already compromised
Probably RAM, power supply, motherboard,
Itβs obviously known itβs been done in the late 1900
I believe thereβs still some making it
I think Corsair is one?
Hm
Also ASICs do mot have to be ARM, mostly they are much more primitive
can be created in the states, but if it's produces under the norm of "copyright = right to copy " aka china . Yah well.
no it's based off US tech design
the tech can be designed to have loopholes
so US tech and US software isn't completely trusted
if it's even designed in the US it's now considered a risk
just as the US considers chinese based phones and 5g a risk
Not sure if i can agree. Maybe. The US has contributed a lot to cryptography which is reliable and secure. Taking AES as example
However its proven that china alters hardware during production to spy on others.
when i try to record this game with fraps the footage is just black with only sound, anybody know why?
Do you have to use fraps? Have you tried OBS? Figuring out recording settings can take a while bu at least it's not raw files. You could mess around a lot more with your capture method via OBS
Fraps is dead and was last updated in 2013. I think it doesnt support directx 12
Nvm gtfo runs with dx11 but still fraps is an outdated piece of software.
I was a paying customer of fraps and still mad about them just dissapear π
ah ok thanks
Either try as mentioned with OBS or use Relive for AMD gpu's and shadowplay or what its called for nvidida GPUs. I use relive and i like it
Best quality gives OBS but its using ur CPU
OBS is lord
Enjoy the holiday season guys = )
You too
Thanks < 3
finally a use for CPU cores that we've been buying with ryzen lmao
"but it uses your CPU"
i purposefully bought a 1700 now have a 2700x since i swapped with a friend, knowing that my gpu can run lean and mean on the game, encoding dump that workload on my cpu
The gpu doesnt have a bigger workload when you stream or record. Usually there is a "co processor" doing that. I mean for someone that doesnt do streaming as job i think its totally fine to let your gpu do the work like myself.
If i would stream profesionally i would have setup a second computer
Question: anyone know of a solution (software) where i can relay a udp connection to another machine? It must support multiple connections as well and the target machine i relay the connection needs to send packets back to the relay and not directly to the client
I think iptables can do this but I am bit embarassed to say this; i dont have much experience with it
Technically yea this could be done through VPN but i dont want the clients to be in a VPN
Meaning i have no control over them (clients)
They connect from wherever they are to the relay and the relay forwards it to the server
Technically an inverse proxy is what i need but i never seen a reverse proxy working with UDP its all TCP
Try doing a service record, which supports ports.
Hmm i dont think thats what i am lookimg as i want to use ip addresses and no domain names. I also dont really understand how this would use first the relay and then the real server behind.
Clients just need to enter the relays ip and port and then the relay does the rest.
Basically a reverse proxy but with UDP and not TCP.
I read that nginx supports UDP (only worked with apache2 so far). Maybe that i can use. I have to read more. Thanks for any tips so far, appreciate itπ
I think my windows had a stroke
Love paragraph 1.)
Make sure your PC is plugged in
Laptops
Yes
Asking if it is plugged in is always #1 question from technical support
Anyone having a problem with the monsters running at a lower frame rate, when the monsters are running at me it looks like theyre skipping.
And i worked for a while in tech supportππ³ luckily this time is over. I just meant in general who installs something with no power cord availble. Especially when upgrading windows versions? Some people live on the edge
@wild abyss seen it when one of my friends was host. I am not really sure what could cause it. IMO looks like issues with interpolation, meaning could be issues with network. Maybe the host is also too loaded? I dunno. Would be interesting what exactly it is. I recommend that someone else hosts
Fellas
and it is fellas
what settings do you suggest running this game on
tinkerin with it rn but i have no idea how to test it
Its gonna depend on your hardware
pretty mid range here, was just wondering how optimized the game is
Its pretty alright I think, could you be more specific though?
an RX 580 and a Ryzen 5 2600x
16 gb of ram
ive been running most of myt games pretty comfortably, was just wondering if it was brutal on GPU
Yeah I have that exact set up (Well with the 2600 though), on High settings 1080p w/ Extreme CPU culling. Averages around 80ish during down time, dips down when hordes start spawning. Maybe roughly 20%
oh ok,
so im fine then
thanks man!
just new to the game and I wasnt sure if I could edit settings in game
so I wanted to get it down
Oh and to clarify CPU culling is a setting that this game has, sort of offloads some of the work from the GPU slightly and onto the CPU or the other way around depending on how you set it.
oh
wow I was wondering what that di
d
interesting
have you gotten any use out of it
I just set it to the highest "Extreme" cause it fully utilizes the GPU anyway. So any reduction is nice I suppose
would a higher cpu workload put more of it onto the gpu or the cpu
Well onto the CPU yeah, hence CPU culling workload
Its doesn't use the CPU very much, especially if you're running more than 4 cores I would guess.
Which yeah I suppose you didn't see #system-specs

Single fan GPUs are the worst things to ever exist
Remove it and slap 1 -3 90mm fans on it and hold em with zip ties
Doesnt win a beauty award and you cant control throgh gpu driver but more silent and beter coolingπ
While I agree, it would take a lot of tinkering to not mess with the cooler on a blower card.
Oh agree if its vapor chamber then you are out of luck π©
I do above method when one fan dies
What is a vapor chamber?
Often used by reference models. They work but usually are very noisy and the cards get much warmer than with "normal" cooling
For me it's the fact that you're only working with one fan. Would need to retire the card while waiting for parts. And most people wouldn't bother switching out the fan anyway. Better to recommend cards with more fans.
A real shame when the fan dies faster than the card
So my 2012 desktop build finally received the memory management error and refuses to boot, using my 2018 MacBook Pro with bootcamp and getting better frames
@vapid folio this what i meant before with DIY fan upgradesπ
Whatever works and gets the job done
That looks cool ngl
There is still time left to evade apple. Hurry up!
Apple kinda sucks
Mainly because I'm a biased Android user but oh well
Ok u use bootcamp
When I got back to the States in 2010, my first smart phone was the HTC Aria
Returned to the store and bought an iPhone, never looked back
I like to tinker so Apple route never worked out personally.
I'm fully integrated
I must admit iphones were quite good. But its another story compared to PCs
12.9" iPad Pro (2018)
15" MacBook Pro
2018 iWatch
iPhone 7+
You can game with a Mac, I'm still working out my build for the desktop
My desktop was slowly dying
Nearly 8-years, it was a good run
Why not just go with the mac pro if your so deep in already
My first gaming computer experience was on an Apple II
A family member just purchased one and i shook my head at the price but some people swear by it for a workstation
MacBook Pro gets the job done and you can't lug around a MacPro
I have a dustbin at work
To be honest, haven't looked at the MacPro specs
Mac Pro rack
Dafuq?
You'd think the rack would be cheaper
Tesla 3 Performance vs. Mac Pro
What a great idea!
Ah, you're a Class 1 customer, as so defined by Apple customer support. Don't see those as often anymore, now that Apple has lost their edge.
Lmfao
@gritty snow #system-specs
@gritty snow its about 70% slower in raw performance than the gtx 660, and about the same in game performance for what I was able to find comparison. In other words, it's below min spec. It might run the game, but don't expect much.
thanks
I'm helping a friend. Problem is his pc is oem (like HP small forom something) that have only 300watt PSU and not sure how big Graphic card can use
If you have any coin, look for a used AMD 7950/7970, AMD 280(x), 285, 380(x) or better. Should be available for really cheap. Think about 40-60β¬Β£$.
@gritty snow get a new PSU if at all possible. Those PSUs tend to be very, very cheaply built, sometimes to the point of being fire hazards.
From what I recall, those HP psus tend to be proprietary. They don't have the appropriate connectors even if it did supply enough wattage for a decent graphics card.
Well shit.
660
2012
There's better alternatives if you're doing a build today than using a 660
I agree. I listed some of my go-to used cards because they're cheap and readily available and still relevant. Especially since the 7970 family is 3GB of VRAM, up to 4GB with the 285/380 versions!
That's sad
finding 960's for 50 bucks was easy last year already. At least around my area.
Putting together my new PC & I'm not quite able to get it to turn on yet. My suspicion is revolved around these. If I orient the lights so that they're in the middle (middle bottom & directly above), they turn the power button light on. If I put them how they're pictured, & intended to be, I get nothing. Any suggestions? Been several years since I built a PC but never had this issue before.
Pictured is an x570-F Asus board.
Does your system run? Are the case power and hdd lights the only thing you're concerned about here?
If your power switch functions with the "correct" configuration, you're on the right track and the issue is likely elsewhere.
If you mess up connecting the polarities, it would simply not function, no damage done.
Yeah, I think I forgot a few more connections from the PSU somewhere else. Been a few years. It's all plugged in. It's just weird how the light turns on when not in the right place, but remains off when in there as displayed in the diagram.
After all they're just indicators. The power switch is probably the only important one, reset switch just handy for those moments.
I would worry about getting the system up and seeing if it's all good from there
It doesn't turn on as is, so it's gotta be something else then. I just figured if the light works in a different arrangement, maybe the button would too? But I think that's just throwing me off the actual issue at hand.
I've seen people need to wiggle or reseat cables on the other end of the front panel. (wires directly from the board of the power switch etc.)
Since you had some LED's show, I guess you flicked the power switch in the back of the PSU as well
Another thing to note, some PSU's cables might seem like they're identical on both ends, but one end must go in the PSU, the other in components.
Usually marked on each end if it matters.
That's assuming your PSU is modular
Can always get something metal like a screwdriver and touch both powerswitch pins. If that works, the issue is with the frontpanel button itself.
It looks like the power on/off pin is plugged into the reset pins to me
Or if that's the speaker
The top 4 are the speaker, yeah. There's 3 rows. I wondered that at first too. Haha.
I think I forgot the x pin in the top left of the MoBo. Hoping that's my only issue.
Oh no, that's your CPU power. That would make sense
You mean more than 4? 8 is already a lot
A 2700X, which was a big step up from my vishera series. & Haha, yeah, sorting out the PSU cables for that pin now.
I recall 8 pins being overkill even for higher end options a couple years back, sometimes made sense for overclocking.
Yeah, if you want that dank OC it's nice
I have a 2700x too, and one 8pin is more than enough to get 4.2Ghz
That was 100% my issue. Hahah. She's alive! I forgot one dang pin. Just made it harder on myself, but I got it!
Thank you guys for troubleshooting & the tips.
I appreciate it!
That's hot
Nice!!
I'd imagine so, my friend was playing it just fine with a GTX 970 in an old dell laptop
π€
Does GTFO have RTX features?
Wondering that cuz i was talking bout getting a rog 2070s and i thought of that
I don't think it does.
Aight
It's got a great price for a 2070 Super at least
Not that i am aware of. RTX is more of a marketing technique
I guess it's a lot less for a 5700 XT?
5700 xt is π
Also performance varies with titles
Yeah 5700XT is your safest bet, same performance, has a new thing that sharpens quality
The performance of a 5700XT and a 2070 Super is the same either way
Hmm
In general
Yea
It can do 1440p 144FPS
Its funny tho cuz in the past the 2070 was way worse
Cuz drivers
Or atleast thats what i heard
I mean, I guess you'll like some games that has RTX support
PUBG has fucking RTX?
Minecraft RTX enebled tho lmao
I got pubg, not into it tho
Man if cyberpunk has rtx ima be stoked tho
Pog
Assetto Corsa Competizione
Atomic Heart
Battlefield V
Control
Enlisted
Justice
JX3
MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries
Metro Exodus
ProjectDH
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
All those have RTX thing
And
Ark: Survival Evolved
Atomic Heart
Dauntless
Final Fantasy XV
Fractured Lands
Hitman 2
Islands of Nyne
Justice
JX3
Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries
PlayerUnknownβs Battlegrounds
Remnant: From the Ashes from
Serious Sam 4: Planet Badass
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The Forge Arena
We Happy Few
All those will use the DLSS feature
Getting the ROG 2070s cause Msi is the lidl brand of gpus imo
Heard bad things of it anyways
I was gonna go for an EVGA but none of them were like
500$
Could have waited sadly :(
But eh
Got a msi?
Gigabyte
Pog
Got a gigabyte 1060
Me too lmao
I haven't seen anything that I play that uses RTX yet.
6gb
@bitter dragon minecraft soon
Minecraft already has it?
Thought that with a future update
Yeah no
Bedrock prob has it then
It's part of modded minecraft
Oh aight
You gotta install the shaders like any shader
I suck at minecraft modding, so eh
lol
I believe they already have?
in vanilla
3 months or so till cyberpunk, il have my gpu by then
Already got a big upgrade b4 too
I5 9600k :3
I just gotta get myself a X570 or B450 MAX, 16/32GB 3200MHz at 16CAS, and a 3700X lol
The motherboard I'm thinking about for what actually has good fan cooling for the board chip as well as not going too overpriced lol
Ssd windows install is honestly the neatest upgrade i did
Not going to do watercooling for me, I'm afraid of it leaking
Oh neat
Everything highend which is neat
Always wanted a good pc cause of VR and future titles
Here she is :3
That's neat
Crap camera
lol

the next upgrade that will change your life is always a second monitor
I mean ye
I have to get a 1920x1080p 144-180Hz for me
Discord and spotify on a second monitor
There was a 1440p 144hz for 250$
I'm more of going to get a 1080p 180Hz because it'll be better for me I guess
I got a 1080p monitor, because I have the 2060 super and didn't want it to have to stretch its legs for everything.
My case is pretty compact
1080p 144hz is the best you can get for competitive lol
make sure the color reproduction on your second monitor is close to the first
My specs are cool, my cooling is idk, the cable management is fucking awful lol
otherwise you end up with the cursed cheadle
The guy gave me a build that worth way more but he was like "he sat here in my shop for 5 hours il just make it cheaper"
What the fuck?
Rtx off, rtx on.
Nah

A ton of the cheap 144 hz monitors have color reproduction issues
Ye
Samsung are making really good screens rn
Or was it phillips
Why
Why not?
If you really love how Cyberpunk 2077 is as a game
Then go for 2070 Super if you can
If you like any other games
That include RTX
Get 2070 Super
If there isn't any game you are looking forward to that has RTX
Then get 570)XT
Simple as that
109775241082842172
Hmm
It's always much better than a 1060
I have a 2080. Still a good card but gonna eventually upgrade to the rtx titan
RTX Titan and 2080 are kinda neck and neck in games
There's really no point in buying a Titan for gaming specifically.
Yeah a titan is primarily better at compute
So you can see it for people doing ML stuff, or video rendering and the like
You're not getting mad sick FPS
Wait for Ampere/RTX 3000 which drops next year
You should look at a 2080ti if you absolutely have to have more FPS right now
But I agree
Wait for the 3 series
I'm still using my 1070 until the 3 series comes out
I didn't see a point in being one of the test subjects for the beginning of RTX
Unless you just want an RTX 2080 Ti, lower price, more perf than Titan RTX
I do modeling and animations as one of my jobs. I need the gpu render power
If things keep going the way they are, a 3070 should be about as good as the 2080 or 2080S.
Actually that's being unfair, like 3 things
how will the game run with a I5 processor, my graphics card is a gtx 1060 im conserned about my procescer will i be good to play this game
Ah you are one of the few people who would actually benefit from a Titan then lmao
@sullen seal #system-specs
oh lol my bad
Get the titan then
Wait for a bit
It's ok Gremlin it has to be better than mine
lol
They might release a better perf/same price than Titan
Ehhhh. This is true now that I think about it.
Titans of yester years cant compete with the 2080ti
p4 i486 turbo with 512mb ram and 12 gb hard drive. built in intel software graphics processor
Fucking god damn it siege download faster
Kek
I have a pragmatic view of computers
if it's not working, yell at it until it does
The more swear words you can fit in a sentence = more brownie points
Your methodology is wrong
You kick it or beat it until it does
Obviously anything magnetic along the tower is a plus
HAHA yea
its ok weeb character man
D:
what are you an american neet or something?
GET ON MY TECHNICAL LEVEL
You know whats not a joke?
When your fam decides to jump on Disney+ and takes up all the bandwidth. :)
I am very much employed thank ya. π
Oh, that one is easy. Log into router QOS your IP. Peace fam
LET THE FAM ENJOY 56K LIFE
Oh they'd know quick
DSCP over that new age cisco clunky HP wannabe network aruba garbage
they'd know real quick
It's ok, just blame it on the provider
tell them to reboot everything
buy about 30 minutes
Then at the peak of their pain and suffering, tell them you called tech support and there is a known outage in your area
#COXLIFE
or comcast
Spectrum Business π
even worse
bruh i got century link DSL 22 down 1 up i'm in the fields of a farm and i bet it is faster than your connection with the fam on netflix and disney crush
At least you dont have AT&T where I swear I get about 5mb on a good day
I peaked at 11.8MBps on the siege download
So technically AT&T owns most of the fiber and lines in the ground for most of FL
While they are garbage everyone is still buying and leasing their crap
which spread the love
welcome to the network world #bullshit
Really? There fiber in FL?
Oh yea, Eglin alone right now is buying personal fiber from various providers and digging all along the coast
the entire state coast along gulf of mexico
The bell providers AT&T Sprint and old school guys own all the stuff in the ground. Fiber is going to slow because other companies have to go through all the old heads to put in the new stuff
Pay big bro for the speeds
bitch what is you DOING
Might as well
We moved from double lot with 2 story house to 20 acres and an animal rescue
Still need to sell that damn thing. Had cox in town with high speed, the suffering of speed change is real
That is some weird crap, are you on wireless ? Upload faster then download
I know a lot of ubiquiti products and some other generic network equipment does that
Well
this isnt what I'm paying for
stopped the siege download
disney-stream-greedy-shit is still taking a lot
time to use the backup line
If i still had my colo i could show off fun speeds :*(
Anyone know a site that i can order parts off that isent amazon or newegg?Newegg wont ship stuff to me cus i dont have a phone anymore and i just wont go through amazon cus they dont accept my debit card....
microcenter
pcpartpicker.com then check what sites they have listed for what you want
so I got a new cpu and mobo, and I almost fucking shot myself when I checked my water cooler's box and saw I was missing 2 fucking screws for AM4. I HAD THOSE 2 SCREWS SITTING ON MY DESK FOR WEEKS NOT KNOWING WHAT THEY WERE FOR AND I THREW THEM OUT LAST WEEK. But luckily I found the mounting kit on ebay for $10
That's a fat oof
@copper zealot is it true that I have to drive to a microcenter to get the parts that I ordered,or does it get delivered
Iβve seen only videos where you have to drive there I think, so yeah
Itβs like your average grocery store
Kek
Ight well I'ma just keep a lookout then
I was ordering from Newegg but they wouldn't confirm the order for me cus I don't have any phone service anymore
How well would a amd fx6300 with a txt 570 8gb 8gb ram work on it sorry im a poor gamer
Rx570*
Probably okay, FX isn't Ideal of course; but if you've been playing other stuff fine there shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Am i doing it right?

I had to wait 9 years for this fiber lol. Worse it was always here and was never full active lol. and I only pay 80$ a month for this locked in for life too, suck it ATNT, Greedy fucks.
The day Comcast gives me an Upload speed upgrade is... probably never to be honest. Somewhere around 10 forever
Hate being that guy but for ~8β¬ getting 100/100 or for ~10.50 400/400
Even cheaper if you go for a longer term plan.
EU has it good
yeah if you have cable internet, you are stuck with asynchronous upload π
Idk my upload and download has been pretty close to eachother
Y'all mugging me off...
is it a good idea to set the cpu culling workload to higher if i have an i5 and a gtx 750 ti
also what does max render queue frames do
put it in the gtfo tech support(i think)
eh i just set it to 1 i searched it up
ah ok
It's how many frames ahead will the game render. Setting it to 1 will reduce input lag. If your system struggles with consistency, setting it higher might result in a smoother looking image.
Setting it to 0 is possible, but doesn't always give good results.
@merry bay What about cpu culling workload?
If GPU is more powerful than CPU, set the cull to low. High cull is the other way around
People should start flexing how they make use of their setup, not how good it is imo
So many people go for near gigabit speeds but barely download anything. π
Having gigabit speed would be great
@merry bay +1
I have a symmetric 1gbit connection and run 4 servers from home
Total overkill
I've got 120 m down and 15 up and run several servers from home. Its decent enough
Monitoring network my peak was 500mbit/s but that was a peak
fucking nbn
the greedy cunts
they'll do fibre to the node but not to the house
fuck you
@crude drift What internet do you have wtf
@leaden cliff Verizon Fios gigabit
aight
@leaden cliff
Damn that's awesome
If windows 10, type in Snipping tool on search bar thing
I have shit internet
