it might be possible somehow.. keep in mind the game has been out for like a month now
so far i haven't found a way to reliably do it doh
and if there is one, it will probably be quite hard
like abuse the SHIFT dodge or something along those lines
unless somebody figures out how those things aim to dodge them easily with movement.. that's an option too
its really hard because the lamprey attack follows you even if you run past them ๐ฆ
i tried to figure it out personally, and whatever i did, they were really accurate
unless i timed the shift dodge

i also saw that if you just slap then sprint it can work since you force them to relocate to recharge the strike

apparently destroying a limb stuns them long enough to get rid of another limb

the melee range on the striker titans are redonks man
one my friends and I first started we botched the 4 sync hit and he walloped all four of us in one hit lol
i'm happy it's like that, otherwise you could just bang them with 4 mallets
which uh, wouldn't make sense for a big melee guy that should melt you at close range

But if you don't see the code in general you might be glitched
we found it, it just appeared very long after the reactor_startup
so long we died before the 1st try lmao
2 times we died wave 8/8 by lack of munition, despite being very careful, using 4 shotgun sentry, taking the resource packs far away first, and waiting the end of the timers to enter the codes to give us more time to get the resources... any more advice for C1 ?

good, place sentries so the enemies run over them and then get shot in the back?
you need to balance your sentry and weapon usage so neither of them run out, maybe only have 2 sentries active at a time

we only had 1 sentry shot in the back cuz we were like "we're going to get shot by our own sentries"
because shotgun sentries shot very far away tbh

Do you ever hit a regular enemy, full power swing to the head, take his entire torso out to where he is pretty much just legs, and then he somehow screams at you and wakes up enemies?

you only need 60% of the swing to the head to kill

Is there a way to turn down the muzzle flash? I don't have the game yet and want to get it but I'm epileptic and that flash is pretty intense

Mine that kills a scout without alerting sleepers nearby with huge explosion sound, is this intended or just yet to be fix?

Is there a third stronger variant of the ranged sleeper that can survive a full charged hammer swing to the head whilst in stealth? I just came across one that managed just that so I'm curious if anyone else has met with the same situation

if you hit them and you see an orange indicator then they are likely dead or you've done a headshot perfectly
if it red then they're likely not dead
then it would be lag on your end

question about alerting enemies. recently when we take out an enemy one alerts from quite a distance away while the closer ones seems oblivious to the hit. I was wondering if there were other factors than just proximity that sets them off?
It's a bit finiky, try to do it when they're not glowing is what we tried to do

the enemy that will alert usually 1 - 2 meter away from the one that you kill
and if you kill a sleeper while there is 1 sleeper are glowing, chances are that one will alert right away
I have also noticed enemies that are in the first stage of alerting, the one where they glow orange, failing to glow. They do that sort of back arch thing as usual but are still dark, in this state if you move again they will pulse, and if you hit an enemy they will alert

Can anybody tell me why killing/hitting an enemy with melee sometimes alerts others near to it, sometimes not? seems a bit inconsistent to me right now.
another question: I see the sniper rifle being recommended for dealing with snipers, but why/how? is there a way to snipe him without alerting other sleepers in the same romm?

ok so @bright star D1 is currently the last mission, new missions will be added on the next rundown (which they are currently working on)
and @dull zephyr about the sniper, it is the only way that you can't mess up (unless you miss, of course). so look at it this way:
Option A: Use the sniper to kill the scout and deal with the entire room, given they will agro, and no, there isn't a stealth way around it if you use a sniper
Option B: All the other current options that won't agro a room, but have a risk to it that you might mess it up, not only waking up the entire room, but also adjacent rooms to it and like 1 or 2 bonus waves of enemies that are not even in the map
All the current ways avaliable right now are
- Melee
- Cfoam and melee
- Mines (it's currently a bug that they don't wake up the entire room, so i'd suggest to not get used to it)
- Sniper

about the melee instead
there is quite a complicated formula behind agrooing, so look at it as "lowering your chances" as much as you can
the closer the sleepers are to the one you kill, the higer the chance they will wake up
if they glow, waay higer chance
if they are more, you can multiply it.. you get the idea
With that in mind, i believe that if they do wake up, and they weren't THAT close and weren't glowing, then it should be a bug
i had sleepers wake up miles away not glowing, i can't confirm it is a bug, but it should be
for the time being, the best you can do is try to kill a sleeper while others aren't glowing (if there are more sleepers, you can sync them with your flashlight by flicking it, given it forces them to glow)
so it's not really predictable
and another small tip
start charging your hammer as soon as you hit the sleeper you ment to kill
so in case he doesn't die, you can kill him (they have a low chance of staying alive)
or you have a chance in case you see somebody is turning red, cause you will have like a 60% charged hit
given they usually die after the 50% charge rate if you hit in the head
given you have a small window to kill them before they allert the entire room (about 2-3 secs)
We had a game on b1 a few days ago where I killed one, and one other got alerted, so we sprinted and killed him, and one other got alerted, and essentially did that for the rest of the room, one by one
A sprint is an insta-aggro for anything about 5-8m away so whenever you can, don't sprint. If one turns red close by, you have a few seconds before it yells and alerts the others so just try walking to it.
We probably couldn't have gotten to it otherwise, it started with one of those that alerted from unusually far away and then became a very weird game of wack-a-mole from there
yeah, not much you can do then.
Just need to make sure nothing is croaking/glowing in LoS of whatever you're about to kill
Which I know isn't always possible, but it's best practice
When you see more than 2 light up at the same time, it's time to go "so anyway I started blasting"
You can kill 2 at a time if you charge kill the 1st one,
Then quickly shove the 2nd one to get it stunned just enough for you to melee it to death.
If you don't have it charged by the time they start lighting up, it's probably already too late
I just wish there was a way to cancel melee swings.
Besides just quickly aiming away from them.

If you right click during charge, it cancels the charge instead of shove
It doesn't cancel instead of shove, it still shoves. Shove just doesn't have the reach the sledge does which makes it safer to do than swinging in air.

sometimes if you're too close to geometry you can still hit it when it's not in sight. You can hit stuff behind you too if your back it up against it.
I'm just saying it's not "the" safest thing. That would be just looking away and shoving.

Yep, charge shot to the head will kill it, and if you're right up against them crouched their noodley appendages will go over you
So when they start sending them out, they hunch over and bring their head low, and it's nice and easy to bop it on the face
Only trouble is depending on the room getting up to them can vary from incredibly easy to not at all worth it

They feel weak sometimes, but that's so you can't just kill everything that easy.
Also you always should use the hammer (only for alarmed hordes you should shoot)
Also it's important to have a mix of guns and learn where the weakness of the monsters is.
I didn't know they have weakness spot
For example: Normal sleepers can be killed by one full charge with the hammer
The shooters (they have black things on their head) Need to be killed by one full charge at the head. (same for the scout alias tentacle boi)
The big one need 4 full charges
And for shots?
Shooters can also be one-shot with a DMR to the head
Snipers can oneshot scouts to the head
If your aim is really good, just run pistol and Revolver
And Revolvers can one shot strikers
to the head
Revolver is my favorite weapon =D
Scouts can only be one-shot with a sniper and charged hammer
So keep that in mind when trying to take them on

Hello, I have a question if anyone knows it. But I was wondering that I'm so far into the game already, and my friend just joined but haven't done anything, Are they able to join me further in the game or do I have to start over just for him? Thanks!
ye they can if you host but its not suggested as the game is super difficult and if you jump in as a new player into lets say c1 or c2 you will have a very rough time

The lobby will be peer to peer. I'm sure connection quality will be a factor in deciding who gets paired up but still too soon to talk more of that.

That is doable, but might take a little luck on certain key/item drops.
I'd say its pretty easy. Most of the mobs are ranged so in the case that you pull an entire room, you can draw them out 1 by 1 and kill 'em. Also the mission is really forgiving. Most importantly, I recommend continuously running it till you know what'll happen and where to setup
We failed again, got to the security door to zone 21 (where the HSU objective is) but failed with no turrets and low ammo. Furthest we've got. Are we close or is still a bit to go?
A little bit more. Once you get to the HSU, you do what you did in A1.

Well, I give some pointers then ๐ Read all the mission logs, before doing the first map, they'd give hint on how the enemies works.
Then if you wish you can have someone in the game with you, help and teach you if you like
This is very much a stealth game, there is always 1 more enemy than you have bullets.

What are some of the main things you can do in a terminal?
All the commands are in the terminal as you use them. But you can get an estimate on where objectives, items and keycards are.
The first mission (A1) forces you to use a terminal in the beginning, so it is trial by fire ๐

terminal lets you list (list all the items, by default this is just a big old list, but list zone_43 narrows it, for example, or list medipack), ping (makes a noise from the object) and query (tells specific area something is if out of range). It'll also tell you how much capacity items have, i.e an ammo pack at 20% is one use, 40% is two
and eventually for speeds sake things in terminal can be abbreviated a lot
Also, ping specifies the area, such as "this item is in zone_39 area B", where query only tell you the zone
But ping can only be used in the zone the terminal is in
If it's in zone_40, it can only ping items in zone_40
Where query can be used from anywhere instead

Think their problem is they stayed in the same lobby but because they went to another round the code changed so they didn't take note of the new lobby id? So now they don't got a code to enter current lobby

So best way to say is as long as you keep that code somewhere safe (it doesn't change unless host goes n rehost). When you leave the game, copy the same code and you can join in the middle of the game.
It'll save your stuff, position, and loadout if you disconnect
Or either let you choose your loadout or ram you into the game when joining for the first time

Is a tool to track life form around you. This is primarily used to find enemies lingering in the dark. And can track moving targets by holding fire like a regular gun

Both are guns that you display on the ground, scans the enemy in front of it with a green light. It has separate ammo than your arm. This is good to defend off waves/...
One is a shotgun; one is more like an assault rifle. Or smg?

Self-explanatory, it places mines. That is triggered by a laser. If an enemy steps in the laser, they explode.
Foam Gun
A gun that shoots out foam. This freezes the enemy. Good for stealth kills. perfectly combineable with a sentry infront to. Freezing enemies and kill them with a sentry

are the number of items the same across runs? like i know the locations and lockers are different, but how about how many items/lockers?
how to get a lobby link?
- Copy the lobby ID
- Open/Go to GTFO on the Rundown screen which lists all the Expeditions
- Click the "Join <persons name> from clipboard"

- Find the Expedition you want to play, create a lobby.
- Go to the top right of the screen, click the "Copy lobby ID to clipboard"

I just have a quick question in regards to the system requirements for running the game. I know that it is it is recommended to have a GTX 970 or something similar, but is that what is required to run the game at max graphic settings? Reason why I ask is because I have been trying to run this game on my laptop which has a GTX 1060 and have been having some trouble to get it to run smoothly and to keep it from crashing.
Well, it also depends on the CPU, Rams and ventilation of your laptop ๐

Ah okay, well, a computer needs a good balance of those factors. Usually a i7 processor (or similar) and 16gb ram is needed for most high end gaming nowadays

frame wise i get 60 with no commotion, but as soon as the fight starts it goes down to 45
and also playing with other people I usually just get roughly 45
I would recommend giving it some more space on the max it can go
like lower the settings slightly
or your resolution
that could be why its crashing plus honestly 60 fps at lower settings looks better in my opinion
also make sure there's no background programs running while you play

Biotracker + Turret, he needs to mark them every 30 seconds
Otherwise you'll need long range flashlights to have a good view and conserve ammo

So, somebody we played with earlier on D1 showed us that during the final alarm on D1, if, before you activate the reactor once you finish the team alarm, if somebody goes to the beginning and then you verify, no enemies attack you and you just free win the game, is this public knowledge and has this been addressed?

hey how do u kill scouts without triggering them
@mellow talon if there are sleepers and a scout in a room and i want to kill the scout with a gun, will the sleepers trigger if im far away from the room
@hollow thicket you can use a mine, c-foam and hit him with the hammer, or snipe (but snipe will alert everyone in the room)
also you can just walk up and melee him if you do it quick enough
so if i c foam them and then go to hit them it wont trigger them and they cant alert others?

you just have to catch them is c foam, and they wont shoot tenticles
the best way is using a mine tho, bc the c-foam goes away after a few seconds

In the first room of B1 there's always 3 containers with ammo 1 use, medi 1 use and tool kit 1 use

You can consider those guaranteed drops too

a few times we 4 man fully charge melee a sleeping big guy and they still don't die. we don't seem to be doing anything differently, but sometimes it just doesn't work. what's up?
make sure to distribute the hits evenly (hit each leg , chest and head) also gotta keep in mind that the enemy gets shoved/moves from beeing hit - people tend to miss their swing cause of that sometimes
think stagger was the word i was missing there ๐ the enemy staggers when you hit it

Whats best to do is have the sentry posted and aimed outside the door where the enemies are going to break in and cfoam the door shut as well to buy more time for the sentry to kill
thats what we do but usually it takes an extra bit or layer of foam for it to have enough time
but the mines always work as long as the alarm has been off for around 10 seconds
i do think the sentry would be more useful on escape which we struggle with

and being far away seems to make radiant light stronger, while being closer makes "point" lighting stronger

you copy the code from discord(or whereever) and then the game reads it from your clipboard automatically

Tho I assume when the pool of maps are large enough, some will get remixed and rotated around.
Map design and development usually takes a lot of effort and resources (example: Fatshark claimed a map took 5 months to develop).
But who knows, 10chamber devs are smart guys, maybe they found a system ๐
They created a custom tool that let's then build expeditions somewhat quickly then go over them by hand to adjust anything to create a better experience.
That is cool! I can just only gauge what I know from other development processes of similar games ๐
In an interview on IGN, I believe it lud said it only takes a few minutes to create a map, but they are very picky with what maps they choose.

So far I understand, big guys weak spot is their stomach. But usually my group just sneak up on them and the all do a charged hammer strike on them at the same time.
They don't have a weak spot, but 4 players with fully charged melee will kill it
You can even do an extra swing immediately after, just in case ๐

Hey guys, me and my mates wanted to full stealth a room in B1, just get the terminal and ping everything and get out nice and clean, but when i got to the terminal a big shooter emidiatly woke up and it all went down.
So here is my question:
Is there anything that can cause a sleeper to instantly wake up without going wibbely wobbely before? Was it just bad luck with the timing when the door opened? I just can't figure out what woke him, because there was no movement and no flashlight.
So two things can happen
Either you can bump them, which is insta up
Or he was in the first or second stage but due to lag was now glowing/thumping for you just yet
I've noticed enemies going from dark to red because of lag

Keep in mind that the difficulty doesn't scale with less people, and that ALL levels have been soloed (aside C1. It can be soloed with some exploits)

You can very easily find a team, and the community is great, very kind, and very welcoming for new players. The game is great too, and the devs are very active

Do you guys ever use the Revolver ? I tend to think this weapon is below the others overall and I have hard time figuring out why I would use it instead of another one

at doors after they break if you aim down with the revolver and space your shots you can stun enemies to stay almost in place leading to the turret finishing them off

i usually just take potshots at the enemies heads with my pistol for most things, its really effective

In regards to glow sticks and flashlights spawning super often, Iโve noticed that too, I simply just assumed that was on purpose to give you that worried feeling of not having supplies
in C1 I was craving for a long range flashlight but we only found one in like 5 games

@unkempt ridge So the way I view it (limited experience thus far), I could go straight up and start one of the security alarms, or, go throughout the map and open what I can open (taking out enemies along the way). My question is, does taking out the enemies before activating a security alarm reduce the overall amount of enemies coming at you when alarm is activated?

The items have a minimum and max amount they can spawn per expedition with rates also adjusted for certain zones as well. So it's not freely open that there can be 20 Long range flashlights. Not saying spawn rated can't be adjusted either.

Plus the horde gets SPAWNED in, it's not sleepers that come from other rooms
I saw them spawn with my own eyes once, so i can be sure on that one
Keep in mind, however, that the least entry points you have to the allarm doors, the easier they'll be (cause enemies will come from fewer angles)
Best to clear the allarm doors if you need to and have the resources too instead of opening random entry points basically (a.k.a security scans)

Personally i see scouts as a big waste of resources more than "death". Rule of thumb is, if it isn't a security door, you can survive it as long as you got the resources to do so and play properly
I once survived a double scout scream in a solo A1 run. As long as you can kite you can survive basically

@glossy cape Yes, since I know that dealing with Scouts is a piece of cake, the only issue is to be sure you have a correct view on the scout when you're far away

shooting the scout with the sniper, is a fine tactic, but if you have the skills, i would recommend going for the melee, either with, or with out the foam

btw @unkempt ridge personally i find it of a REALLY good value. When you can stealth properly, the only big treaths are 2, allarms and scouts
