What's the movement going to be like? Kind of slow and clunky, faster paced like payday, or somewhere in between?

u want to stay stealthy so at first it might be slow, if it wents loud it is faster paced, but again you get back to stealth so. It's a mix , you want to stay healthy and stealthy as much as possible

Well they've said there isn't going to be any advanced or fast movement like sliding, wall jumping, etc. We've seen gameplay outside of the trailers and the pace seems about as slow, the thing is if you go to fast you run the risk of fucking up and alerting a pod of monsters which wastes the small amount of ammo you might have leaving you fucked at an APEX door in the future. There'll also be sections that force you to move a bit faster like areas without O2 but besides that it'll mostly be a pretty slow, methodical progression.
Speaking of APEX; after playing Apex legends, then going back to GTFO;

You beat me to it Harold, in regards to the betas, I'm not sure if there will be a fully open beta, although I wouldn't rule it out. To be on the safe side and to gain access to all alphas and betas, register as an ambassador if you haven't already 🙂

But yeah that's exactly what he's asking. @kind trail with the way steam works you buy the game in EA to obtain early access. You will get all subsequent updates for free including the official release. Only thing you'd have to buy afterwards is any dlc released.

Yeah if you buy the game in Early Access, you are rewarded for being an early adaptor by getting the 1.0 release as well.

Considering it was previously stated on steam that GTFO to be released in spring of 2019 and then to just some time in 2019, does that refer to an early access release in 2019? Or just something the players can expect to play before 2020?
Right now the info we have is to not expect any alpha testing before June. They want to have plenty of time after a test to make changes. They don't want to provide any dates until they are certain they will be achieved.

I am sure this question have been asked somewhere else before, but I am curious. How does this game differentiate from games like L4D or Spacehulk: Deathwing?
first of all you hvae to stay quite, which is not possible in L4d (random horde appears) second, you have limited ammo and supplies. 3rd. no ai bots for more hardcore action. 4th. the game changes to your pace, enemies might change during an expedition/map. 5th puzzles for supplies

I did and it looks great, and L4D might be a really bad comparison, but in some aspects it makes me think a lot about Deathwing, granted that GTFO looks a lot more refined and creepy. I was just wondering how it would differentiate (Other than the obvious spook/survival factor) 😄

The game take place underground inside the complex. There will be multiple sub-theme to the underground complex but I would not expect a outside map.

Answer: GTFO takes place inside the underground Complex at all times, and I think that concept in itself is an integral part of the game's identity. There are other interior sets than the mining tunnels and storage rooms though - so there will definitely be more variety to the surroundings than what you've seen so far.

to actually answer your questions, "The Warden" is an entity withing the game's lore and gameplay, he's most likely the one that directs the players
If you want to become an ambassador, just follow the step at #become-an-ambassador and you are all set to participate in the Alpha test if you desire. Should come this summer.

You gain new weapon and tools from scavenging expedition. Slowly improving your arsenal in-between each new expedition you start.
You begin and end each expedition with the weapon and tools you started with.

Hey so it's a horror styled progression co-op shooter.... are there classes and levels?

Originally no. Ideally they wanted to do a full release, but more time was needed for development on adding future updates more seamless and features that wasn't originally planned like reload animations.
Also they want to test networking, optimization, balancing and other features during the Alpha and Beta with ambassadors first before a wider Early Access release.
Even though Early Access is on the table expect it to be a stable build and to be updated frequently.

So how did this game go from being released in the spring of this year (which is almost over) to being this far behind? That’s very concerning. As of right now they don’t even have the simplest of features available.
They probably found out that something was harder than they thought; maybe a couple things too longer, etc. the features they don’t have aren’t that simple tbh, syncing and shit is probably hard.

Good question :o, Well what i tested on Gamescom felt yea like Payday, 100x harder, also different in playstyle and it was simple, but there have to be a base structure and with 9 People working on the game, it can get longer than expected. and most people want to see a polished or a well done game, instead with millions of bugs or stuff which is nah

Yeah, their "servers" and "matchmaking" basically runs off of the steam servers, kind of like Payday 2's, because it's all peer to peer stuff. That's also the reason the game won't be on the Epic Games client, as they don't have the same kind of servers that Steam/Valve have that allow the P2P kind of thing to work.
@rapid dock We're marketing GTFO to the best of our ability and budget, using our connections and trying to be clever with what the assets we have. It's very unlikely that we'll rely on traditional online ads/banners (it's crazy that those are already the "traditional" ways to market something, print and TV ads aren't even being considered.) Sometimes we put some money on a Facebook post we make to make it reach more people, but it's mostly to test the tools Facebook offers. For the most part, we will rely on you - the community - and the word of mouth momentum you can drum up!

But from what we know, It will be more mission based expedition, where you get down the Complex, gather/scavenge some resource and exit via the same or another elevator. Mods support is on the to-do list, but there no define timeline or priority set on where they wish to implement them.
10 Chambers plan on adding new levels to the game on a frequent basis as well due to their method of crafting levels quickly by generating them with the engine they have, and handcrafting them after that.

Of course even if 10CC wanted to impose some type of requirement to cover the game (they don't of course, free press is good press) they couldn't based on the nature of the internet.

Before GTFO gain the possibility to create STEAM cards and Badges, they must meet some criteria from Steam before they are allowed to do it.
The first one is official release. A devs cannot implement cards/badges from an early access game.
Second, there some game sales, quality and content that must be meet.

My personal guess it.. Ambassador will not got away, but probably change name to better fit the role as a newsletter for upcoming content and update.
I thought currents ambassadors will be the "favourite child" of the community, favored with more stuff, more in-debt look into developement and such
Some things to keep in mind regarding ambassador and marketing (note, this is my own viewpoint):
By signing up for ambassador you get access to the alpha and beta, newsletter about progress, and builds hype around the game, and a sense of pride amongst the user, an intent to get the game / high interest. There's major incentive for the user and 10CC to allow more users to sign up for ambassador. They can email saying "Hey, we're in beta. Hey we're in Early Access" and reach a large number of users who have expressed interest, driving sales up, allowing them to keep developing the game.
If they cut off ambassador signups too soon (for example the day before the first alpha) then it might create a small increase in pride / exclusivity amongst those already ambassadors, but it prevents newer people from being able to say "hey, tell me when there's important information". Not everyone interested will add it to their watchlist on Steam, some may prefer good 'ole email. Now they have less people they can reach out to for driving sales.
There's some other things they can do to address some of those concerns like only considering those who signed up before xyz date as eligible for alpha/beta access, or only providing ambassador exclusives to those before a certain date. Create a second mailing list for a GTFO newsletter that is similar to the ambassador program newsletter but keeps the two groups of users separated.
Again personally, a potentially decent time to stop the ambassador program to "freeze" the current members (thus creating a bit more exclusive feeling amongst those who are ambassadors) might be right before Early Access. Allows them to email a large number of users, keep building hype, etc.

Kind in mind the closed alpha are only a single expedition, with a single set of weapon and tools. It's not the game for the users, but an appetizer. We, the community, won't play much of the game. See it as a very early demo to test the network system.

I can't say what the full plans are for the developer's decision to give a wide release for the test phases, but I assume they want as much feedback as possible to polish the game as much as they can.
Their main goal for Early Access is to have the game at an optimal state which is why they have numerous testing phases planned to iron as much issues out. They stated that they want to do EA right and by that it means they want a well developed build for release to the general public with as few issues as possible.
Given that they provided a roadmap and a list of goals they want to achieve already for the first and second Alpha, it's safe to assume they did their homework. While a large demographic for alpha testing might turn some people away there's always the benefit of a larger pool of data to collect to improve the game so I see it as a situation with positives and negatives.

Sorry for the late reply but I had to fully answer your question about what we know thus far about anticheat system.
Primary, this game will require a online connection to access their data base at 10CC server and grant approval about reward / spawn / inventory. They also looking at any tools STEAM can give them that won't hurt performance.

how similar will this game be to The Killing Floor 2?
Not much
GTFO isn't a wave based horde shooter unlike KF2.
It has heavy emphasis on teamwork-based objectives which rely a lot on coordination and communication, and putting yourself in combat is something you want to minimize as much as possible because ammo and resources are limited.
GTFO is not the type of game where you can go guns blazing and team interaction is going to be mandatory to complete missions. It will be pretty hardcore in relation to other coop games on the market.
GTFO and KF2 are pretty much in to different genres

Ironically fighting isn't encouraged in this game because it puts you at a disadvantage for the rest of the expedition, since it drains your resources.

Hope the game is kinda like payday 2, in the since that after each mission, there is a giant skill tree and a ton of different weapons and gear to chose from. I know payday 2 took a few years to get to the point of content where it is at, I just hope eventually the game hits a point like that where after each mission there is a ton off content to choose from to upgrade your character.

Your role is defined by the tool you bring, so if you bring the spray that can heal/display weak points on enemies you'd be the role of support

As far as I know, probably not. That's something they would consider post launch.
If we defined classes, it would force us to think in terms of those roles when we add new weapons and tools - it could maybe even give us the feeling that we need to tweak the functionality of a tool to better fit an existing class. Now, without classes, we can just come up with cool stuff and not have to think of it in a boxed-in "class/category/existing limitations" sort of way - and players can mix and match as they like, essentially creating their own classes - a freedom we love for players to have!

It might be technically possible to play GTFO alone - however, at this point we can't promise that it will present a fair challenge. GTFO is designed from the ground up to be played with at least one other human player - and if we were to also make it balanced/fun to play solo, it would almost be like making an entire second game. We are a small team, and we focus our efforts on making GTFO the most awesome co-op experience there is.
- Will there be bots to fill out teams of less than 4 players?
No. What you will expect of teammates when playing GTFO, no bot can do. Creating sufficiently qualified bots would require a lot of work - it probably wouldn't turn out that great anyway and in the end it would only serve the ability to play the game in a way that it isn't even intended to played (alone).

I don't think they have any solid dates set in place. Right now they don't know how many test phases there are as it could be more or less depending how well they go. Early Access is still a mystery in terms of release date and how long it will last.

Gtfo don't rely on top end graphic that push the boundary of PC spec and get downgraded for console or more optimized for low end PC. Everything they have done is captured on a 3+ years old computer using gtx 970 graphic cards to build, play and record an unoptimized version of the game.
Our version will likely run better with possibly better visual.
@lunar kayak I wouldn't say far beyond their scope, but adding additional things like reload animations that weren't initially planned, and re-working their updater to better support free content updates in the future. They're in this game for the long run.
If the player uses a Tool that does not require ammunition (such as the enemy scanner) where does the +20% Class Ammo go? (From refilling with an ammo bag) I assume the Class Ammo is for tools, right?
uhm there is primary weapons and yea special weapons, maybe it is the ammo type for the special weapons (like heavy rifles/guns)
So the Potatoes that fly out when you kill monsters.. are they gona be changed to some gore? because they look like placeholders and don't really "fit" the theme of the game (my opinion).

Well, they plan to expand the gore and guts splattering around after you blown up a monster. So I assume, yes. All tho they might keep some of the eggs.

Both Alpha and Beta tests are going to be free for all Ambassadors. Once the game launches Early Access, you have to buy it on Steam. Note that the Early Access version will cost less than the 1.0 version.

I was watching the trailer for GTFO and then comparing it to their E3 gameplay. One thing I noticed (and I see this with alot of games) is that during the trailer, the hordes that you get attacked by were much larger than in the E3 gameplay. Now granted, this could be different difficulty settings, different part of mission, etc.. But it is something I worry about just because I've seen it with so many others. Thoughts?

Also, the gameplay from both E3 and trailer on steam are rather old. 10CC even told us that the playable expedition some of the guide had the chance to play no longer exist and the game changed/improved in some ways.
Another curious question: Will the number of enemies "spawned" in a level / game be finite, endless, or varies according to player actions (e.g. raising the "alarm" will spawn more as horde event beyond what is already pre-spawned in that level)

You can't empty an entire expedition by triggering an alarm and drawing all the monsters out, because alarms only draw monsters from a limited area. There will be also roaming monsters that respawn - so you won't be able to clear an area and backtrack through that area safely; you'll always want a teammate with out and you always have a reason to be on your toes.
What will the crafting/resource system be like all I know/heard is that its grindable
What we know is that you get down into the complex to scavenge ressource. You get back and use those ressources to unlock new weapons and gears or upgrade existing one.
You won't be able however to repeat the same mission over and over because this one is rich in ressources. You will need to tips your toe into more, potentially more dangerous expedition to reach for that next upgrade, etc.

kinda sounds like KSP career mode where your first gather some science points on kerbin to get more parts, but redoing an experiement don't gives you more points, so you have to slowly explore further and further
sound interesting, but the balancing seems hard
10CC didn't tell us much about it. But soo far this is what we got as information.
Maybe they got some idea to give incentive to replay all expedition too.

Yeah I would like to know if I could stream from Alpha all the way until the release. I think it'd be cool if I'm aloud to and they could always watch the testers who stream it to see what happens and what needs improvements since we'll all be playing it for the first time

The map is an underground complex, and it’s always the same layout, but you spawn in different parts of the complex, and it’s like, pretty big. They haven’t said specific size
