Just give it a while cheif, the game develops made it like this for a reason, like wooza said, atmospheric and s p o o k y, and I honestly love how the game looks either way, over time you'll get used to it

And I think those properties make the game what it is, the fact that it looks like this is unique and special to just this game, making it one of a kind

Can you run the log manager from #bug-reporting and send the uploaded log file link here for me to review. I suspect it's your graphics card not being capable enough. It's an M model which usually designates mobile and isn't as powerful, usually a laptop

from what I see, it's not throwing any errors, just not able to load it. I had the same problem when my gfx card was underpowered on a test rig, so being a laptop an that card makes sense. just isn't able to run the game.

Yes, but I don't had any trouble running any other game before that. I agree this is not the latest stuff, but they specify NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660+ as minimal requirements.

yeah it's 2 GB of memory which is the bare minimum per specs, but the game has expanded a bit since those specs were listed.
Keep in mind the 660+ is normal GPU, yours is mobile (M) so less powerful than their regualr counterparts

The mobile ones are less powerful so they can fit into a laptop and be able to be bcarried around, not drain the battery in a minute and not strain the other parts

Looks like a bunch of Steam Network related issues. Have all players restart steam, their PC, and their modem/router and see if that helps. I know we've done a bunch of network optimizations for rundown 4, so that should help with that too.

There's still something network not working right. If they can try a different internet connection, make sure steam is restarted. Beyond that, we'll need to wait for Rundown 4 which includes many networking bug fixes.

Please do be patience with us, as we are in Early Access and networking stuff is not fun to fix, especially when 90% of networking is completely out of our hands.

@placid plume did you know most networking doesn't reside on your house or the game? Everything networking touched point to point includes the game, steam, the Windows operating system, the hardware network card in the pc, the cables / Wi-Fi to your router / modem, the cables to your Internet service provider, the hardware and routers they have which connect to other lines that go to other service providers, which then go to steams servers again, which then go across those lines back to your team mates ISP, and noe back through the beginning of what I said, rinse and repeat. A lot of places for things to go wrong. Packets to get dropped, firewalls to block connections, cables to be dirty and not work right, routers to have ports flapping and dropping packets and connections.
I see re com network issues all the time at my day job (not GTFO) and you'll be surprised at how difficult it is to track them down and how a small tiny thing has big impact

@sonic totem CPU culling workload takes some stress off your GPU and throws some of it on the CPU. If you have a weaker GPU using that helps the game play smoother in lighter terms.

something else i found is that i can make "sticky lights" by aiming my flashlight at certain materials and then a copy of my flashlight will be there, as you can see i can create several and they do not disappear when i turn my flashlight off. They do disappear however if i turn the camera too far away from them

Make sure you/your friend has tried restarting Steam. If that doesn't help then restart the computer, followed by the modem and router. If that still doesn't work, can you send the log files, you can see how to get logs via #bug-reporting

It might be a personal opinion but I think toggle ADS randomly untoggling when you're aiming in a game where you need to conserve ammo would be a pretty jarring issue

Hello! Friends game keeps crashing ever since new update. Crash happened in A2 "Foster" she was holding a bulkhead key, game crashed, she relogged back into game, bulkhead key no longer exist. We tried terminals to query/ping it. It said that it was an area, but cannot locate it in game.

Game crashed, kicking out two players and switching hosts. Two players are still in the game and the other two are not. Lobby ID will not work to rejoin and adding them on steam will also not work.

I'm having some performance issues. I'm on laptop, i7-8750H, 1050 Ti, 32G memory, 1080p. In R3 it was pretty consistently 40-45 fps at least, in R4A1 never seen it above 30. fps lock's on 60, all settings to low (textures to half), queue frames 1, culling workload - can't recall but will check if needed. Anything I can do besides lowering the resolution and playing it windowed?
PS I didn't yet check other levels so far, only A1

Make sure the game is using your gpu, and also don't run windowed that's worse in terms of performance
You can enable a display what application is using your nvidia gpu in the graphic control panel
Maybe even go to the specific game option in nvidia and force it to use your nvidia gpu

Matchmaking is meant to put solo's up with other solo's. For premade groups you'd be best to fill that out with our #how-to-matchmake lfg channels here. Hopefully in a future update we can improve it

Sooo apparently in A2 when you pick up the second bulkhead key and put it in the first terminal it eats it. we used the key on the wrong terminal and couldn't complete the optional objective

Just the way networking works it can cause your ISP to process the data differently and might allow something to connect if it's being blocked

setting the game to 1440p causes frequent black screens (for about 3-4 seconds) mid game. this seems to happen more frequently during action heavy sections (during an alarm or when fighting enemies). putting it back to 1080p seems to fix it (for now), but i'd really like to be able to play at 1440p and i'm fairly certain my pc can run it. does anyone know what's causing this and how to fix it?

so is there any advice for what to do if getting lower fps than usual, because GTFO is running at 20 fps when it normally runs at ~40-50 fps at low settings, any fixes?

Can someone help me? My game crashes on startup every time. If i uninstall and reinstall, the game runs fine the first time without any crashes but if I quit the game and run it again it will freeze at startup screen and give me gtfo.exe not responding. I have a 3700X and a 5700XT with latest drivers. I've tried changing resolution and and windowed mode in settings file and turning off all overlays and no luck at all.
