So I had a problem a while ago, I'll just bullet it
-Discord was fine yesterday
-Turned on discord today to play GTFO, but discord was stuck on "Hold tight - Loading Discord" and the "grey background"
-Tried to delete and reinstall in the discord website, but there's a error.Discord is 59MB, once the download starts, it says 10mins left, but the moment it reaches 2.0MB/59.0MB, it starts to slow down to 5 hrs left until it errors.
-I tried updating my R6S (which is 1.2GB) and my laptop completed it in 40mins, how did the 1.2GB update outrun the 59MB download?!..
-Using discord on my phone right now, but seems to be working a bit slow also.
-Trying to use games and apps that require fast wifi,they seem to work fine, in fact there is no lag
-A couple of players told me to download the experimental version of discord,but the tab is just loading endlessly
-Tried also to use discord on web browser, its just loading infinitely..
-Contacted discord support already,just waiting for their reply

Overall, my day is damn ruined because I can't play GTFO as of the moment.. (Been trying to resolve this issue for 3 hrs already..)

I have played GTFO now with some friends from yesterday but we all had very big issues with what settings we should all have as no one seemed to be able to get anywhere close above 40 FPS with good specs

MY Specs :
GTX G1 8GB 1070
I5 9600KF 3,7 Ghz 4.4Ghz Turbo
16GB DDR3 RAM 2133Mhz
Everything installed on a SSD (if it would matter)
1920x1080 144hz screen

My friends have similar specs but he has a GTX 1080 instead and he had same issues as me
With everything on lowest with 1080p resolution we couldn't get above 50FPS and often had lag spikes going down to even 15
Is the game just having a poor time right now or are we doing something wrong?

Then we have a guy with a GTX 750 TI Palit and a i5 5500 processor but still about same amount of ram and his PC seemed to cope somewhat better which makes it for us a bit weird

Any help would be appriciated!

Did you tweak any nvidia panel settings?
Usually theres a few that will give me a good boost

Less prerendered frames will reduce your fps

Set frame target to your refresh, then turn off vsync?

And then compare your settings to his, if you have not.

i do not have gsync, also i did some testing and on highest i do get 90 fps in beginning of the game but it decays slowly to 30 in maybe 5 minutes

my friend with 1080 tho updated drivers and is getting 80 stable on highest

but i am now with same specs but just a 1070

i have to play on everything lowest on 1366x766 to get stable 70 fps

and i have a 1920x1080 screen

Hmmm, could it be latency? I honestly doubt that, 30 isnt bad, but it also sucks especially because you should be able to run a stable 60 with your card and cpu

but this game seems to be very Graphics heavy at this moment

vsync is going to be the biggest factor. but it's up to you.

I'm unsure why, recently with the current rundown I have been experiencing the game freezing when playing it. Intermittently usually with large amounts of enemies during alarms, however my CPU (3600 @ 3.6 and 4.2Ghz) usage consistently shows around 25% with GPU (5600Xt)/Ram (16gb 3200),VRam being around 50 at all times. It happens in both solo and multiplayer. Not an issue in other games like Star Citizen, Destiny, Metro Exodus, some of those being more intensive so I'm unsure if it's an issue with my hardware?

@opaque nimbus Go into windows settings or a youtube video and just do a basic validation test - can you actually hear audio. That makes sure that there isn't any issue outside of the game.

If that works then go into the game and go into settings and there is an audio loop test. Give that a try and adjust the volume there and the volume in windows and the volume on your headset and turn those up/down as needed. Let me know if that works

If reinstalling didn't fix it, I'm not sure what else to recommend, beyond double checking everything. The game isn't really doing anything special, just using Windows to send the audio through. If you haven't already, try restarting windows and only start GTFO, don't have anything else that could use the sound - e.g. don't have OBS or any audio capturing tools open.

It probably is the audio bug then. Randomly throughout the game, audio can all of a sudden be muffled except for Blood doors, scout screams, breaking of doors, and explosions

It happens the most when you tab out for a bit and tab back in from my experience

Hi , I would like to draw some attention to a known issue. Bug reports have already been sent and I've seen it listed as a known issue. I'll probably submit another report soon to try and get some priority on this. The bug I'm talking about is with the aim toggle.

The game randomly un-toggles aim at any given moment, without any input from the player. It's been in the game for a long time now, but feels like it has gotten a lot worse. I'll pull up aim, it immediately goes down so I press again, it immediately goes down again, etc. This is making the gunplay almost impossible and has ruined many runs and fights.

I have checked and can confirm my mouse does not have any issues. Also, I realize I can simply disable toggle, but that really affects my ability to play and frankly, I shouldn't have to disable a very basic function such as aim toggle.

Can we please get priority on getting this issue resolved? It really is almost game breaking. I would be happy to assist in any testing or providing logs, whatever is necessary or helpful.

@outer sorrel no need to tag the devs. I'm sorry that you are experiencing that bug. As with all things there's a number of bugs, features, and content that need to be addressed and prioritized based on impact. For example things that impact a large number of users or are very detrimental to the game are higher on the list. I'll take a look at that one and see if we can reprioritize it at all

Do you have the windows 10 game feature on?

Cus if you do, turn it off.

Windows key + I, open settings and go to gaming, open game mode on the left and turn the use game mode off. Typically this is the number one fix.

Is this only for GTFO or any other game? If so, could be action center notifications doing it.

Windows 10 is dirt sometimes, and the gaming feature was one of the dirty things we got.

Like in General, Windows is really not a great OS. It's decent for the average consumer, who browsers and watches medicore porn. But for us gamers, we need every optimised. Every update they add, more and more uneaded juunk gets added in which prevents programs working to its maximum, causes bottlenecks, increases system usage, causing conflicting issues e.t. Which as a result, can cause several issues. I've actually had to disable many and optimise the fuck out of my OS for games, and has many problems with it. I seriously dislike it, so much junk which hurts performance.

I recall that's apart of the game.

The Max Pre-rendered Frames setting controls the size of the flip queue, basically, the higher it is the better your frames are due to the CPU having to feed information to the GPU, that's how frames kinda work, in a very simple way. As for the CPU culling workload this is something I'

I've so far only seen unique to GTFO, I am unsure what it means. As far as I can guess it may stop the CPU from overworking when it comes to processing the game.

so if your cpu is better than your gpu then make it higher

Yea neither did I. Usually the logic of a GPU is way different than a CPU so I would be curious how it can offload this to a CPU. It would be really great if a dev can explain this settings in detail

and in my experience; changing it from low to highest gives zero impact in FPS (frankly there is no real benchmark in GTFO and redoing the same scenario is just a vague guess). My setup is: i7 4790k and an AMD 5700XT

generally it's totally fine if your GPU usage is 100% in a 3D application. It also means that you are not bottlenecked by the CPU. Limiting framerate though is also great since you save power consumption and there is not a big benefit getting much more FPS than your monitor canm handle

So for anyone with a newer AMD ryzen or nvida graphics card. Apparently Windows 10 Driver Verifier has been jacking up some items if you keep drivers up to date.

Hitting Start > powershell > verifier > delete settings (turn off) will turn if off for next reboot and sped up quite a bit items related to graphics and desktop stuff

@supple orchid I do R&D on Unity DXR it's still a mess and far from being game ready (performance issue, instability and their denoiser is either very noisy or produce a lot of temporal artifacts)

There are NOT any bots. Bots just can't do what players would want. Instead you can use #lfg-beginners for someone to help teach you.

Yea, Idk. Been trying to find my own solution for awhile. No, it usually doesn't let us get into a game, and when we do, one person usually can't see anyone even moving and they can't see us open doors or place things and such.

We thought it might be internet, but our speeds are too good for that to be an issue.

I reinstalled and verified files. No fix.

The person that seemed to be the source of the issue, also did the same.

Any suggestions? I'm a server admin, so your suggestions shouldn't be too hard for me to follow unless we're going to the binary lol.

player movement is still fine and realtime when it happens, but then runners start being invisible. Worth noting that the reactor countdown get slowed down a lot too.
