@covert ledge would you be able to find the log file from when you did the A1 and A2 so I can take a peak? It's most likely an issue where your PC couldn't talk to the playfab service that stores game completions. The devs are working on a solution for that.

Yeah i can see there's a problem with playFab for sure. It basically can't sync. I'm not the best with net code stuff. But it seems like the same problem.

i have a few questions:
Do you use VPN
You said you had 15 playthroughs, when did you lose them? just today?
What firewall do you have and what antivirus
& did you change any settings recently

So you are running into the same issue a few others are, which is an issue on a 3rd parties end that is used for storing and retrieving game data. There is an issue on their server side that they need to fix and is unfortunately out of our hands. The devs are working on an alternate solution that should alleviate some issues like this, but that won't make it into R3. All you can do is wait and try again in a bit and hope that the issue is resolved by the 3rd party quickly.

There's currently a bug with a 3rd party vendor that is used for storing game progression where the game has issues connecting to it. Unfortunately the only thing we can do is wait for the 3rd party to fix it. The devs are working on an alternate solution that should help alleviate this in the future.

Its not only audio settings, it's also audio equipment.
Some headphones/headsets/speakers are not really good with certain audio effects.
Also some equipment has the option to set the volume on it self. For example my headset has a slider on it's side i can change. @low wigeon. Also age can play into such an effect as some "older" have worse hearing :'D

Is there anyway to fix scan desyncs, we've tried different hosts and in d1 the scan door that leads to the uplink always has at least two of us seeing scans in the wrong spots making us lose a lot of time trying to find where to stand while also needing to defend.

If host ping is really high or they have bad connection, it could very well ruin the game. In one of our sessions because of host lag, sleeper glow was offset for everyone and we ended up alerting an entire room :

I didn’t expect there to be an outcome soon, but thank you in advance.
I had the same problem in the beginning (long ago in R1), then I tried all sorts of solutions, including reinstalling windows. Then one day it was solved, but I don’t know why or how. (There was no new GTFO patch at the time either.)
I’ve been doing everything I could think of over the last few days (even reinstalling windows and memtest), but for some reason it doesn’t help.
I don’t use other or new programs, just the ones I used to. Even less, due to reinstallation.
I hope it disappears like last time XD

Sometimes right at the beginning of the expedition, sometimes at the end. Sometimes in the middle of the first expedition, I reconnect, I finish, then nothing in the next, and then the third expedition at the beginning throws out again, either in the middle or at the end. But it has already happened that it collapsed half a minute after I reconnected.

As I noticed, it doesn’t matter what I do within the game or how there are those teammates. If I don’t do anything, it will still crash. However, during loading and in the menu it has not happened... yet. XD

So, I did a complete clean windows reinstall today (formatting the drives and everything). I updated the system, the video driver, installed the steam, discord, and GTFO (vC ++ directX) nothing else.
It continues to crash.
Other unity based games (which I have) don't.
At the moment I don't know what else to try.

hmm, not seeing anything standout from those. could be a bug with the unity engine itself. The engine is being upgraded over the summer so might help with that.

Where is the text file for the gamepad controls located? My friend prefers to play with controller but the game is not fully registering all default buttons that are assigned. So I figured that by deleting the file and repair/replace it should fix this issue he has.

so this isn't really an issue since i just have to use the steam shortcut instead, but why do you get the network connection error if you launch the game through .exe and not through steam? It seems really weird that the game's .exe wouldn't work

Don't use any VPN
Turn off any Firewall and Anti virus.

As it is a little weird how it behaves, as one friend can join and one not.

Hello. So when I boot the game up it’s only at 30 FPS. I then have to change the resolution to a higher resolution and then back down to the resolution I actually want and then it will reach 60fps which is all my monitor allows. However I am not sure if the graphics are messed up or not because I don’t really see a distinguishable difference between the lowest setting and the highest

Sounds like a problem with the file, it can happen if the game tries to "read" something and get's conflicts which causes software problems (this is the best was to explain it)
