The Turret Tool sometimes does not display ammo it has for the person who has it equipped. This bug is present on either the start of the match or when the user picks up their turret. (HUD Graphical Bug)

We are having an issue where 3 of us are trying to play. Upon creating a lobby, two of us can see eachother and ready up, but the third one never shows up on our screens. He says he can see all three of us though. We are unable to launch the game like this. As soon as the 3rd person disconnects from the lobby, the two remaining people are able to launch just fine.

@solid lance to help with the problem. Use the tool kit on the turret when its deployed. The will fill between 40-60 rounds on it. You would use the ammo kit on the player not the turret.

hi there, super random question, but I am a dev working on a Unity game and we're having trouble getting Exclusive Fullscreen Mode to work. @unique star Had the same stuff playing with my friend yesterday having an I9, 16 GB of Ram and a RTX 2080 TI. It definitively has stuttered after a few hours of gameplay, which closing and reopening the game didn't solved. But were talking of an alpha here, I think there's still a lot of optimisation to be done and the alpha is more of a gameplay test, to see if it suits its fanbase and doesnt run into too much problems

Yesterday, me and two other friends discovered a bug where one of the regular monsters on the first map got its head shot off, but it continued to attack us. We then hammered and shot at it several times without it dying. I was the only one who could see the monster as it was invisible to the other players. It was unkillable and therefore continued to attack us all until we all died and lost the game.

I'm getting less than 60fps with a decent setup.
My friend usually gets 10-25fps lower than me with a similar setup but that wasn't the case here.

I have 8gigs of ram, i7-7700, gtx 970 with no programs open besides discord.

My settings were all low as possible. FOV 90 with my resolution down to 1280x720.

How is this possible? Is anyone else experiencing this. I didn't want to spend too much time figuring this out since I only had a couple hours to play. When the next alpha comes I'll have CPUID and all open to track things. But at such low resolutions I shouldn't be struggling to get 60fps

@random eagle please report any bugs you think there are. We don't have a public list as we are sorting through it all. The more reports the better it helps the devs prioritize, and the more info we have that may help with reproduction steps.

#known-issues is for major issues like the no network issue listed there.

I had quite a few issues with really hard lag spikes, i.e. dropping from ~40fps to 10-12fps. I'm running it on an i7-8750H + 1060-max-Q. It's installed on a 970EVO too, so I'm not quite sure what's going wrong.

@wispy barn Right now it looks like #known-issues is for issues that have been patched. The inability to revive teammates or supply them is pretty common and the bug tracker is filled with them. At least the latter one. On the other hand softlocking the game is probably more serious than the network issues, but I couldn't find anything like that on the tracker even though it happened multiple times in my case. They've been submitted now though, unfortunately with only limited info.

so btw last update didn't help with the problem of Network error. The solution to this problem was even simpler than using VPN.
Firewall... but not quite because turning it off did not solve the problem. You had to manually give permission to communicate through the firewall because this option did not show up (as is normal when you run a freshly installed game or program). well...Windows 10(1903)....suck sometimes

Unknown on that @pure pilot. It's designed for windows so I don't think the devs have tried to test any of those edge cases. It's worth giving a try, but any bug reports for it will likely be very low priority.

Well that is what Proton was made to do, take Windows games and run them in Linux.
So it looks like I'll be the only Proton tester for GTFP alpha then and represent Linux gamers to a degree.
And If I find Proton working perfect out of the Box, then it'll be something for the Devs to smile at for release in that they can add Linux to the available platforms when it goes Gold.

@pure pilot Hey, GTFO run perfectly with Proton! I only try on the last version (4.7 if i remember) on Ubuntu 18 but run fine. During the 2 first hours I had some lag but after some time it gone. I only have one crash, and it was on startup, surely I have a software who blocked DXVK (the errof was "fatal error in gc) , because I relaunch it and work fine.

Getting some sort of microstutter every 2seconds. Weird thing is, the stutter only starts happening once I drop into the map first time, but then it persists, even when backing out to the main menu. I also see now that there is no setting to disable mouse acceleration in game. Hopefully the steam launch parameter will.

To be fair, this might be a mouse smoothing system and not mouse acceleration now that I've experimented with it more.

Guys, who has problem such "can't see my friend, but he is in same lobby"

If you use an invitation, your friend will get 2 problems. First, after game start don't press red "start downrun" button (if you was invited). It will be removed in few seconds and you will be moved to lobby. Second: after that you won't be able to see your profile, to partily fix it change your weapon at least once. Then you and Host will be able to see your profile table and weapons pictures. BUT until everyone will see other players names game won't start. Adding next player to a lobby will pass lags to him (High chance).
SO don't use invitation system. Create Lobby. Let your friend come to your lobby. The more players - the more chance of lag. It's not a problem to start a game with 2-3 players.
After first group of your team will spawn, other your friends can connect to Host's lobby one by one. They will see a "waiting for a Host" red text. Now just wait. It will take quite much time, really. After loading you will be spawned near Host's character.

@idle jetty You will need to create a Lobby. Then your frien should get to your lobby. If you won't be able to see his full profile, ask him to change weapons. If the profile wont load fully (99%) ask someone else to get in. The last guy holds all the lags.

I'm not sure about it, but looks like region matters, but not only. Sometime you just cant see someone profile and only his. Doesnt matter who came first, who came second. Then just build your team in 2 groups. Each player in first group must see each others profile. All others, who bring lags should be in group 2.

After players from 1st group landed, wait a bit and let 2 group connect to existing lobby.

#

They will see "waiting for a host" message. Now go take a bath. Cook a pie maybe.

#

First group will see your characters quite soon. But second group will see only a "falling screen" for a loooong time

Just confirming also experiencing micro-stutters every 2s or so. Happens every restart, doesn't begin until loading into map but then persists even on menus or when out of map. Have tried nearly all graphics config options as well as windows tweaks etc.

Frames are fine, specs are 1070 and a 7600k 16gb ram. Seems like maybe CPU bottleneck? Validated and reinstalled game a few times earlier. Disabling dynamictick on windows had no effect, same for HEPT. Stutter persists on the lowest and highest graphics options.

Looking to get a few more people online this evening for testing, we'll see if any of them experience similar issues.

Given that the game is dripping with chromatic aberration (which unfortunately cannot be disabled) I would expect fairly beefy hw to be necessary.
I think it just needs a little more time in the oven to iron out the kinks. Gameplay is very promising, have my fingers crossed.

We gave up and all restarted but i just thought I should mention it

GTFO plays like ark on max settings on a windows xp on my computer
stuff isn't laggy but when you try to look around it only moves the camera after about 0.5 seconds
and yes it's on the lowest settings fog, shadows and quarter of the textures.

Hey guys ! i have a big issue with one of my friend : I can see him host and join him but when we are in the lobby i can't see him and he can't see me . if i put myself ready he can't confirm the drop even if i'm supposely with him in the same lobby

it seems to consistently happen with one friend of mine, but we've gotten it to happen with others too. we start the game fresh, and we've tried having them all join in-game (without the use of steam or invitations at all), but my aforementioned friend tells me that nothing happens when they attempt to join. the only time they ever get put into a lobby is if i invite them, but upon joining, they cannot see me (or whoever the host is) and i cannot see them.

we've tried swapping hosts and restarting the game a few times, but no matter what, the host and this one friend of mine cannot see each other in the lobby, and if they ready up, the host still can't start the game, regardless of if everyone's readied up or not

we know that it's not an issue exclusive to this friend as well because we just somehow caused it to happen with somebody else

Guys, who has problem such "can't see my friend, but he is in same lobby"

If you use an invitation, your friend will get 2 problems. First, after game start don't press red "start downrun" button (if you was invited). It will be removed in few seconds and you will be moved to lobby. Second: after that you won't be able to see your profile, to partily fix it change your weapon at least once. Then you and Host will be able to see your profile table and weapons pictures. BUT until everyone will see other players names game won't start. Adding next player to a lobby will pass lags to him (High chance).
SO don't use invitation system. Create Lobby. Let your friend come to your lobby. The more players - the more chance of lag. It's not a problem to start a game with 2-3 players.
After first group of your team will spawn, other your friends can connect to Host's lobby one by one. They will see a "waiting for a Host" red text. Now just wait. It will take quite much time, really. After loading you will be spawned near Host's character.

You will need to create a Lobby. Then your frien should get to your lobby. If you won't be able to see his full profile, ask him to change weapons. If the profile wont load fully (99%) ask someone else to get in. The last guy holds all the lags.
I'm not sure about it, but looks like region matters, but not only. Sometime you just cant see someone profile and only his. Doesnt matter who came first, who came second. Then just build your team in 2 groups. Each player in first group must see each others profile. All others, who bring lags should be in group 2.
After players from 1st group landed, wait a bit and let 2 group connect to existing lobby.
They will see "waiting for a host" message. Now go take a bath. Cook a pie maybe.
First group will see your characters quite soon. But second group will see only a "falling screen" for a loooong time
My patience allowed this trick only once

@wise coral Yep. Your game has problems with some data. If you're lucky - it's gust an intro part problem. If you're lucky you can skip this problem by useng other player steam invitation.

Normal start via icon or steam library always triggers intro. Starting the game via invitation will instantly moves you to lobby

right i spent a while trying to track down the source of the stuttering, and i'm pretty sure its the garbage collection, I took an ETW trace and dug through it for a while with WPA, and gc_mark_from is intermittently taking absolutely ages (seemingly stalling on swapcontext) - so basically stuttering probably isn't fixable on our end https://i.imgur.com/uT0BHzz.png

Tested lobby desync issue with guys from Europe, Africa, Russia, Asia before update.
Ttsted lobby desync after update with guys from Russia, Asia.

Was unable to start a 4 player team, only a 3 player team. Looks like installed game of certain user conflicts with insttalled game of another certain user. If they get in the same team - at least one player wont be able to see other player and game session won't start.
Way to fix this proble. Gather a team of players, who can see each others in lobby and let them start the game. After they start playing, go to their lobby. There you wil see nothing firstly - wait. If you're lucky after ~minute you will see 1-2 players. After few minutes you will see everyone except yourself. If you wait some more time you will see everyone. Now press ready, "waiting for a host" will appear. The whole procedure takes 5-10 minutes usually. Chances of success are <30%.
If you're unlucky you will see nothing and you will be unable to connect their game session. Looks like the moment of your connection to lobby really matters. Better to wait a bit after landing of first group.

P.S.
One player from Asia told me he has very bad internet, but everything works just fine in his trio.

For everyone with the Ram problem and windows. Right click start button or click if windows 7 goto system / right click computer then properties. System info or win 7 advanced system properties (win10 is next step) performance tab middle tab set focus to background processes, second part is if you have any gaming software turn off gaming mode, third part is alt tab out of game (win 7 ) set priority of gtfo to low or sub normal.

Also for laptop players go to Nvidia Control Panel PhysX and make sure your nvida / amd card is set to the main processor as the system will not intelligently decipher the built in card vs the additional FX

So here it is again:

I installed the game and go to launch it, and its frozen at the main screen that tells you to press start to play. No music, cant move my mouse or click. My system settings are great, I run everything on ultra with no issues.

@surreal flare It's a known issue.
Was unable to start a 4 player team, only a 3 player team. Looks like installed game of certain user conflicts with insttalled game of another certain user. If they get in the same team - at least one player wont be able to see other player and game session won't start. - host has a "waiting for prisoners" message.
Way to fix this problem. Gather 3 players, who can see each others in lobby and let them start the game. After they start playing, go to their lobby/let them send you an invite before downrun. There you will see nothing firstly - wait. If you're lucky after ~minute you will see 1-2 players. Now press ready, "waiting for a host" will appear. After few minutes you will see everyone except yourself. If you wait some more time you will see everyone. Then will begin loading. Be warned - you may spawn in beginning or behind Host. The whole procedure takes 5 minutes usually. Chances of success almost 100%. Also there is a chance 1-2 players become invisible for you.
If you're unlucky you will see nothing and you will be unable to connect their game session. Looks like the moment of your connection to lobby really matters. Better to wait a bit after landing of first group

After that accept the invitation. Don't press red "begin downrun" button, it will disappear in few seconds.

you will get in dark lobby. Wait ~minute. You will see 2 players adn your weapons. Select weapons and press ready.

Now you can get yourself a tea. It will take ~2 minutes to fully load the lobby: all players in team. Then ~minute waiting to sync with everyone. After that you will see loading screen for ~1 minute,

Then you will be spawned in the first room or behind Host's back.

#

Known issues: few players of your team may become invisible (and you won't be able to see them on map/revive them/give them ammo or medkits) to you, (their characters will just stay on the same coordinates in the same pose, equal to position they have at the moment of your loading) or not

Let them invite you to lobby but won't start a game. Load in lobby and change your weapon preset. After that exit game anl let them start session as usual. Game should remember your weapon choice

for some reason if the door is c foamed up, and the door is "open" despite it being stuck close, enemies while hitting the door will also hit you through the door

I was having issues c foaming a few doors, i threw grenades at them but the foam didn't reinforce the dorr or would bounce off the door

Did you throw the grenade at an angle? If you did, that's why. For some reason that doesn't reinforce the doors fully.
