There is an authentication server that check who get what on their backend. This feature also help to stop cheating as they need confirmation from the 10CC backend server to correctly distribute loot and reward.

A friend of mine had his PC crash (due to overheating apparently) during mission start, and now he gets "Network Error, cannot connect to online services. Error code: NoRundown" upon starting the game ; re-installing the game didn't fix

Try to turn absolutely everything down including resolution setting to the lowest. Its possible theres a triggerpoint in the resolution that kills fps

I have like 140 fps in the settings and game menu but in game it's pretty unplayable for me
i got around 40 - 60
I get a solid 30, but no changes increase that

Its actually kind of playable for me, but the mouse doesnt fee right at all, feels like theres some heavy smoothing/acceleration going on
Also changing settings is a bit weird, clicking audio flashes the screen, and it changes between having black bars, being stretched and blurring all text 
on 800 x 600 i run the game PRETTY nicely on windowed mode, time to bring the minimum requirements down, devs

@somber tide I think it has to do with the hosts internet speed, me and a couple friends were having the same issue except for the host. We let our other friend host and that solved for us.

we were close lol.. basically the thing that works the best is.. you check which key you need then type in any terminal "QUERY KEY_COLOR_NUMBER"
A few have beaten the level. It take multiple try and a good knowledge of the game with nice coordination to beat this expedition.. well all expedition once the game release
and then it will show u where its located and then once u are in that zone u can then type "PING KEY_COLOR_NUMBER"
and it will then show you in which specific room it is located in
we got the key but there was no way to kill them all

yea u have to like first find the key then go to the key door and then use the key and then when u used it then u can use the packs on ur team
if ur not doing that steps then u can only use the packs on urself only.. which is bleh
also ngl... xD assault rifle should have atleast 150 ammo or 200
cause like its so hardcore once u fk up then u waste all the ammo there and then ur off with either 0 or 50 xD
but i guess the reason for that is... C1 zone is pretty like intermediate hardness lvl

I feel like the bullet spray for some weapons need to be lowered, I took my time to carefully aim at the head for one guy at like a 15m or so range, and the bullet went somewhere way to the side
the reticle movement is all over the place
@proper spear so i just finished this session as long as i could and MAN it was fun. Learning everything step by step, trying new strats encounter new room combos and well try and error how to solve it, guns where really nice (tho some ammo changes would be cool but idk yet about that since balance) The Fog only rooms where Great, really was scaring in the fog not seeing anything
and just hearing the sounds. The overlay of the hub menu is Really creative, and well the opening which turns into a loading screen also great, About bugs we encountert a few (which well im gonna report whit some vids after im back from doggo) but my team and i had much fun and great laughs. Good job on the team, And even for an alpha it was really great. Ok 1 critism i do have is the amount of enemys. but that can just be me and my team well, running out of ammo and get overrun so its more our problem then the game

got the key and tried to defend ourselfs at the security door but always failed.
Foam launcher can reinforce doors giving you a lot of extra time to finish the scans
also mines can wipe out groups of enemies piling up at those doors they're trying to smash through.
Why the hell is aggro for every enemy in a room linked together? I kill one monster in one side of the room in a corner on its own, and suddenly the entire room aggros me and charges.
If he was killed while alerted, that's normal
I'm saying that, on several occasions, I've one-shot killed a mob with my hammer and despite killing it while it was sleeping, the entire room mobbed me anyway.
i just hate when we full melee charge hit and blow a guys head off but the monster still lives and aggro's
A quick second strike when that happen should solve the issue without waking further monster

@obtuse void Hi! The game is really different from the other coop game. It is a stealth action coop game that want to divert from the other run-n-gun game. One of the key point of GTFO is you are outgunned, with untrained prisoner, under geared and throw into hell by The Warden. You won't get heavy weapon in this game nor silencer. GTFO is all about cooperation and careful planning for the next phase.

Playing as a team of 3 and we kept getting killed while on stealth
Took me roughly 45 min - 1h to finish

Yeah. I personally prefer SMG due to the amount of ammo you get. Otherwise I'd recommend AR for something that has a bit more damage and range
LMG is a bit dissapointing for the ammo/magazine count

We use bio scanner all the time to strategize, especially when we run 3 sentries
Nah, bio scanner is mostly just a quality of life thing. Doesn't actually help you in combat.
You can just open the door and check/hear what's on the other side

Foam will slow enemies down and contain them, mines will then take an insane amount of them out

They're just extra foam, pretty much. The best part about them is that they fill a door 100%
it seems to spray around an area but not actually hit in a radius, more like throw a bunchh randomly
In our case I think the 2 mines got 3-4 kills
If you foam and mine a door before one of the alarms, you'll kill most of the enemies before they reach you. They aren't really useful at any other points

Don't understand why the game doesn't have an independent sensitivity slider for hip-fire and ADS. If it's not going to have one then make it 1:1 instead of having a variable sensitivity we can't adjust independently.

What are the weak points for the monsters? For Scouts it's obviously the head, but the others didn't seem to have any weak spots. My group literally cut a Hulk in half and its legs kept shooting at us.
The head is always the weak point, hit that whenever you can
(Which was a huge waste of ammo, would not recommend)

eh, I think that it's outdated as soon as you figure out that they don't care unless you don't move.
you can 100% complete without a bio tracker, you get used to the map, enemy sensitivity, listening to their heartbeat, and the fact you really only need to care about enemies within a certain range

I'm not sure, but 40 minutes to complete 1 mission is a lot. biotracker: beautiful and cinematic, but as soon as you catch the mechanics of hand weapons, it completely loses its need, youβre just a rush map

the biotracker is good to allow you pass with more caution. also can be a life savior. trust me, im a tracker user and my team could pass properly.
it also can detect from where the enemies come if you are in a horde situation or to mark scouts.

sniper shots to the head?
Sniper shot to the head is an insta kill ,but be prepare to fight due to the sound of the weapon firing.
better it than it summoning 3-5 times more than the 9 more in the room
But it is better to fight on your own terms then triggering a massive horde from 2 door forward and behind you XD

I like the terminal interface tbh. You actually have to know what you're looking for in order to find what you want.
Still simplified obviously but it adds a nice layer of role importance.
My only issue with the terminal is that I don't understand what "list" does, or why I can list all HSU's

I think the DMR is my go to weapon.
Tried all the others and they just felt really slow to kill.
I get that the idea is to encourage stealth but it feels nearly impossible to recover if you startle them with any other weapon.

Yeah, it seems very illogical to have unsuppressed weapons when they know that the enemies react to movement and sound, or at least like someone said in "suggestions", we should have more stealth options, and melee at the moment is not reliable. I was standing behind an enemy, fully charged and the enemy stuck their head inside the wall which made me hit the wall instead of the head...
Not sure how to answer that.... You shoot them or hit them?

The main issue is that it seems very inconsistent with how far away creatures will detect a kill from.
Dunno if that's intentional or not, but for us they noticed us even when we were standing still
Oh yeah. I've smacked an enemy that's maybe 2-3 meters away from another enemy and didn't get detected. And another time I smacked an enemy and got detected by an enemy that was 10+ meters away
I've killed some at less than five feet away and not had anyone notice, meanwhile I do the exact same thing and one of them notices from halfway across the room.
Also, it doesn't make sense that they can hear/sense us moving, but not hear an enemy that screams when killed
And when it gets to that you basically have to hit all headshots if you want to make it through.

The heavy machine gun seems to be some sort of nail gun
Basically if the monsters can touch each others at arms distance you have to take them out quickly, if they are separated from 2/3m you can kill them one after the other. Me and my brother we cleared 90% of the room with the hammers and using almost no bullets until the scan, when you get the hang of it, it's not that bad.

Also nobody forces you to kill the mobs, we actually sneaked pass some of them ( Tentacles and big one ), use foam nades to froze them in place and sneak pass them
I do absolutely love the fact that it's VERY rarely one person's fault that we lose π Whenever we died yesterday it was always a collective fuck-up

you have to repell the fog to see the monster better
We always die at the scan alert....
The second time we came to that door my gf didn't even get a visual prompt/line to follow
We did it as a duo but it's almost undoable for the rest of the run
you have to make 0 mistakes and have a good luck for the spawns

Like literally the first room you come too, straight ahead from spawn... That sucked
I think the difficulty is well balanced but only if you are a full stack, playing as a duo was almost even better because we had to time everything almost perfectly but in the end we know some of it is almost undoable
Yeah... Some of these weapons REALLY need a buff.
Like, I'm obviously not expecting to mow down dudes left and right but I'd like more than three of them to be able to kill an enemy without spending a third of it's magazine.
Especially since Combat is unavoidable in certain sections.
yup during the scan parts, hence why me and my brother we clap them with hammers most of the time, last time our best run we managed to get to the door, full health full ammo, and with extra tool ammo for the mines
what does it mean on the road map when it says "No persistent inventory"
"List Zone #" is still one of my favorites.. i wish you could so Ping Zone 12 and it pings all in zone 12. maybe alerting the monsters xD
Imagine pinging a medipack so every monsters gets attracted to it, and then foam the doors LOL
wow, just had 3 attempts with a buddy, and we found a medpack, a tool refresh, a few grenades, a bit of ammo and...a terminal (though not in the same game) seems like there's a bit of coding involved, neato

I'm pretty certain alot of people mentioned the music bug, and the melee range issues at times. Those were the most prominent issues I ran into. (Though the melee bug could simply be having high ping being as its peer to peer)
Those things aside I was very pleased with the short time I spent with the game. (I actually played on my work break)

well I have to say the 2 man team we did yesterday was awesome I really hoped to have the full group tryin g it today but well hopefully this coming weekend before the end of the alpha. So far reaally liking what I am seeing

Yup. That's what I did. If you do the scan quick enough you'll just get one wave, and glue/mine will kill pretty much all of them

i have a theory. i think that some of the misteries told to us in the first trailer are solved right now. what dauda tell us is he "listens" people screaming at him, and after that he wakes up. my theory is: cause of all characters being infected to different degrees, they are connected somehow to the creatures of the Complex, which were probably humans before. after becoming fully infected, the sleepers become part of a hive mind,protecting whatever they are guarding, and attack everyone not infected who appears. seems that while in hydrostasis, the characters are sleeping and the sleepers are "talking" to them, that's why dauda says that he doesnt understand what they say but recognize them somehow, them wanting him to "feel what they feel".

Personally I wasn't really feeling it, did several runs/attempts, sneaking up to melee range to charge your hammer gets old fast would be nice with some silent ranged options, the obligatory door alarm was a tad bit too punishing, yes I get it you have to prepare but it was a bit too much

were you playing alone or with a team? GTFO is designed to be tackled with (preferably) full team, hence why solo is very hard.
you /can/ run and gun, especially if more than one person has a sentry
but you'll suffer if you waste it all

I am hoping for more melee variety in later versions. They all feel very similar atm.
i have a slight gripe with my screen flying about everytime i get bit
so even if melee isn't for you, it's kinda mandatory just for having the ammo when you need it

I felt that the constant sneak-melee just wasn't fun, it was very slow and repetitive

Maybe something like a bolt action rifle that is silenced. That way you really have to use it wisely.
is it possible that the gameplay rythm is only in the extremes? it's either 8 or 80 - melee stealth 5 rooms in a row, but then when a mistake is made, hell breaks loose and you're out of ammo, it it possible that what is missing are the steps in between, a little more moderate gameplay moments, rather than tone down any other part of the gameplay?
tbh, its a nice game but a quick match or easy and hardmode option to decide would be interesting too and an story introducing why we are here and doing that π just to say, nothing preferred at all
I mean it's a design question, what do you want the game to be? The premise is super interesting, dark corridors, aliens, sneaking around, but just slowly going around hammering stuff isn't very interesting

yes, because it sure feels like the stealth-hammer approach is the optimal formula, while shooting weapons (for me) is.... a lot of fun, but it also means we're draining resources and risking the mission
You run out of ammo quick and it's very risky you can get swarmed so shooting really is a last resort
Id say the main thing about this game, is navigating an unknown area relying on your team and what you can scavenge in the process. right now it needs a bit of balancing, looking into gunplay and then some stealth stuff. Just in my view. plus, since most mechanics arent even in (considering its a networking test) im personally waiting for beta stage

I had a blast with my friends last night playing it. As I do agree I think maybe there needs to be a bit more balance for the stealth aspect and guns. As it would be nice to have a weapon with a silencer to use instead of just melee. I would also like a faster melee weapon. They did seem a bit slow but makes sense for the size of the weapon you are swinging. Maybe a small knife or something for faster attacks that do not do as much damage. But being an alpha I am still overall pleased. Still excited to play it and what we all get down the road.
maybe also class with heavy armour , light and healing - for the real group play - so light armour could use a knife instead hammer etc as well but is depends on the story, why they are prisoners ad deep below π

while extremely hard, you can sneak up and whack it into a coma
You can also blow it up with mines. It won't alert nearby enemies
