The 24 hours is for the devs sake as they will need to support the game, and while they are releasing a pretty stable build, I'm sure they are going to get lots of bug reports and it'll be best for them to be able to have you guys test, get the bug reports and fix, the release again that coming weekend vs having to actively support for an entire week or two.

This first Alpha Network Test will be about 24 hours long. We expect to find bugs that we'll have to deal with - and bugs are easier to deal with while the Alpha isn't running. Therefore, we decided to have a fairly short first Alpha so that we can collect bug reports and get to work on those bugs sooner rather than later. During the first Alpha test, you will get access to one expedition.
As soon as we’re done squashing those bugs - which hopefully takes just a few days - we’ll open up the Alpha again and have it open for longer! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a longer second Alpha test over Halloween weekend!

This first Alpha Network Test will be about 24 hours long. We expect to find bugs that we'll have to deal with - and bugs are easier to deal with while the Alpha isn't running. Therefore, we decided to have a fairly short first Alpha so that we can collect bug reports and get to work on those bugs sooner rather than later. During the first Alpha test, you will get access to one expedition.
As soon as we’re done squashing those bugs - which hopefully takes just a few days - we’ll open up the Alpha again and have it open for longer! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a longer second Alpha test over Halloween weekend!

from my experience a 1070 runs everything out there at max settings. heck, they still have some value and could sell it for around $250-300 and put it towards a higher end card if you really wanted.
and some people are fine playing games at 30-40fps, i personally can't play shooters with anything less 60fps as i typically get a bit motionsick on some games. typically prefer playing at my monitors refresh rate which is 120hz.

There is no NDA :D You will be able top stream the Alpha, but you cannot cover up the alpha watermark in the right bottom corner.

It's requested by the devs, so people know it is not a full game, but a Alpha. Nowadays people tend to judge games based on first sight, and its good if peps know who have never heard of the game before that it's a still work in progress.

Once you have GTFO in your library, you shouldn't need to redeem new keys in the future for the test builds.
... if that's what you're asking.
How other alpha and beta builds that I've been involved with, future builds just update the files that are already installed in your library. At worst, updating to a new build will involve deleting the current build and downloading the new one. GTFO should be no different... (I don't think).

Since Alpha 2 will be adding additional content, it MAY be one of those situations that involve deleting and redownloading. But like a fully released product, it may also act like the new build content is just DLC. So, really, who knows? lol

At somewhere near the end of Uncharted 3, ||Nathan Drake and Sullivan are in a lost city, and when they come up to water, Nathan drinks some of it while Sullivan only washes his face. Whatever was in the water was what made the people crazy as hell, and soon kills them all off and that is from constant drinking of it. Same happens to Nathan, which he starts seeing enemies and then they're basically all demons. *God fucking damn, that in honesty, was the hardest part of the whole game.*As the water effect wears off at an empty pool, he sees that the pool was never filled, and Sullivan is found soon after, which they both figure out that whatever was in the water caused what happened to Nathan and caused the whole city to die. The bitch woman and the man is there, and a small crane is pulling up a big ass fucking treasure. That was the source of what poisoned the water, and boom boom they both fight ree reeeee. The treasure stays behind, because it's too damn dangerous.||
