there is a way around that. if you go into your settings, there is an option to "take over" the land that the toon you defeated has vacated after you destroy the toon.
Yes but they repair and hit you , or if quick enough you can get them AGAIN, ad infinite

Yes, its similar to an idea i posted before, that platoons that are killed off on map should go into low morale if they are repaired on map, and auto returned to base if killed again. You USED to be able to set your platoons to taking the enemy platoon spot, and it disabled repairs, but that is no longer the case, and they can repair regardless of that fact. Trying to snipe people is such an unending slog now where it is WAY too defender sided to be any fun.
Why would toons need to go in low morale if they are repaired on map ?
So if my heavy gets sniped and i spend the gold on it to repair on map instead of wasting time to let it travel back to the base, why should the morale be low still ๐ or am i misreading this ?
kix should change repairtime of units like detonators and riflemens to +5min or put a timer limit on the amount of times a single toon can be deployed when it is under 5min to repair...
You can still use move into enemy platoon spot so don't understand the problem ๐ the problem is that the non fairplay guys use auto repair on map so you need to work your way into a base so don't bring a buggy or det to snipe but use a decent spamtoon or heavy ๐
Heavies are different matter , I think the idea is base on dets or buggies , if you use a heavy it cost you gold before even got into base and risk mgetting a 2nd snipe the second you coin it.
Why would they need to go into low morale? same reason why platoons who fail attacks do. They are using the on map repair mechanic to keep people locked out of bases, and not in the fun way. Platoon fights are supposed to be a war of attrition, however the currency being attrited should be platoons, not patience.
We introduced the morale mechanic to prevent ring locking bases because it was an abuse of the system that kept people from engaging in the actual gameplay loop. The current way PvP platoon fights work is in the same state, but in a different way. Its why i say platoons that die off and are repaired should be put into low morale, whether that be buggies, dets, spam toons, or yes, heavies. does it suck to have to make it travel all the way out again? yes, but thats the point. Not everything should be perfect for everyone, some people should be placed in suboptimal positions because they were sniped and need to bring more toons, or their heavy just got caught and they need to repair, but cannot just open their wallet and ignore a key gameplay feature.
Will it suck when your heavy gets killed twice and gets sent home? yes. However, it will also suck equally as bad for the enemy when you do it to them. Thats how it SHOULD work. This solution is especially necessary BECAUSE of the... unscrupulous methods you talked about, especially since they seem to be capable of entirely ignoring the fact that moving into the space the plat previously occupied was supposed to disable on map repairs like it used to.
Buggies dets or anything that repairs free on map should be capped at 5 times then it auto retreats back to base imo
The way it is set up now is never ending sniping the same toon over and over as they just repair it ...it needs to go back to how it used to be you kill it and it goes back to base keep it simple

It's become a joke.and not enjoyable at all. At least have a limit before the unit returns to base. Or make it 1 gold repair after 5 times
