Hello, I am new here and I recently started a new wiki for my friends and I to record our friendgroups' experiences and things. We would want to have a wiki that looks professional, which requires a subtantial amount of templates which our wiki currently has none. Ideally we would want templates like those from Wikipedia.

How should we approach this? Is the only way to go the tedious task of importing each template one by one, even this I do not know exactly where to start. I would appreciate any form of support, thank you.

Hi there and welcome!
There's Dev Wiki (https://dev.miraheze.org/wiki/Miraheze_Developers_Wiki) that has a number of templates that can easily be imported to your wiki.
Using templates from Wikipedia is usually advised against as they're often times very complicated and have lots of dependencies that cause them to not work on your wiki unless you really know what you're doing

Sounds good, I'll start there

All the best for your Wiki!

Follow-up: I attempted importing infoboxes from the dev wiki (example shown in image) and I'm having trouble getting them to show right, I'm probably missing something quite obvious here but please forgive me.

Wikipedia uses complicated templates and modules, so much so that it looks like an excessive family tree. The best thing is not to import, but to create a template from scratch. :/

and probably some other things but I think the error messages are self-explanatory
