Is there support in Miraheze to use my own customs skins without requesting them to be added globally?
Editing a wiki with just common css and common js is rather limiting and clunky.
I couldn't find much about it on the relevant FAQ miraheze sites.

If you create a skin, you can request it to be added on [[Phorge]], but a security review will be necessary, which can take some time. It will then be available for all wikis. Also keep in mind that you'll have to maintain the skin since otherwise it will break with future MW versions and we'll have to disable it.

Skins are not easy to develop and often prone to XSS vulnerabilities, so unless you have a lot of experience in developing skins/extensions for MediaWiki, I wouldn't recommend creating your own skin

it's easier to modify a skin w/ a layout closest to what you need

Vector and Monobook are examples of traditional wiki look, but Timeless and Cosmos offer centering of content + mobile compatibility, Citizen is very popular due to more modern feel
