#how to make a transparent image
20 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It's really not a wiki-related question. To make an image transparent you need to use image editor (Photoshop, Sketch, or something similar) - create your image, and have elements that are transparent (usually background). Then save it as .png or .gif file (jpg doesn't support transparency) - voilá!
im using photoshop and it shows at my files as transparent, its a png too
yup, this is transparent, so try to save it as png/gif (make sure there is (no) checkbox selected to (dis)activate transparency). And then upload it to your wiki and use it.
Also if you share a link to your wiki and page where we can see the problem, we might help you better 🙂 It's hard to blind guess what is the actuall problem, man
I force changed background color of your wiki (just in my browser) and I see the images are transparent:
mhmm may be something about the theme editor
@crimson loom may be something with this
also i gtg
@plucky quest i don't see the problem with your image. It's transparent! I checked transparency by changing background color of your page, so I see the image's background also changes. So it proves that the image is transparent.
😔
Maybe you can rephrase your question/problem?
or try to explain: how it is now, and what do you expect?
My problem is that the image isn’t transparent, but when I use light mode it turns transparent, so I’m guessing it may be the Mediawiki that is making it look not transparent when it’s on dark mode
Also I need to go to sleep, good night
well, as you can see on my screenshot, above - even with black background your image is transparent.
I think I finally got what you mean: when you switch to the "dark mode" you see that the images has gray-ish background. Screenshot:
