#Can't get Discord webhook to work

i want to get a log of changes made to my wiki in a discord server i own, and i've tried making a webhook to do so, but no matter what i've tried, it just doesn't work?

i've made the webhook, connected it to a specific channel, made sure that there's no restrictions on sending messages in said channel, and then copied its link and pasted it into the $wgDiscordAdditionalIncomingWebhookUrls setting, and then saving that- but even that doesn't work. i've made sure there's no spaces or missing characters in the URLs, so i really don't get why it's not working.

(also, before making this post, i did search up 'webhook' in this server, and have been doing the exact instructions people said to do, so i at least tried to look into this on my own before posting)

poor guy since last monday was not helped

also, make a edit in a page in your wiki, and check the webhook

can confirm that that's what the URL looks like, generally (there's no dash but i imagine that's not needed in the actual URL, plus i'm copying it directly from discord)

#

this is what i've got

#

no matter which server or channel i try, though, it doesn't work

#

i have no clue what i'm doing wrong either since it looks like it literally just needs the URL

You need the dash

okay, i’ll try manually adding a dash

#

since it only generates links with underscores, no dashes

# wise steppe You need the dash

I don't think that is correct, just tried creating a handful of webhooks on a server I own, sometimes there are dash(es), sometimes there are underscores, and sometimes there is no special characters (beside the slashes divding the url parts ofc)

So yeah kinda hard to say what the issue is. Only thing I can think of is to make absolutely sure you put it in the right text field, as there is a couple text fields close together there. That is to say a text field between the Discord Additional Incoming Webhook URLs ($wgDiscordAdditionalIncomingWebhookUrls) and the blue Add more button.
If there is no text field between the 2, you need to click that add more button to well... add more fields, and you in that case probably put the webhook URL into the field for changing the avatar of the webhook instead.

i just spammed add more and put the link in each one

even attempting to spam 'add more' and putting the link in each textfield it generates isn't working

#

i really don't know what i'm doing wrong lol
