If you dont mind sacrificing realisim you can get the easiest settings which makes the game easyer what i recemend is having the easiest settings and slowly make them harder and harder just search up easiest session settings. session take a long time just like real skateboarding to get better

Just mess around with stuff, find a small spot you really like and try to "master" it, try different tricks around it etc

I would say you have to take it as skateboarding irl: baby steps first, slowly getting used to the controls and simple tricks, learning how the game works.
As said up here, tweaking the settings will also help.
