All variants except for Air Dashes and Game Speed reset on chapter load

i've already disabled read-only perms for the entire game folder. first screenshot is all variants before returning to main menu, second screenshot is the ones that get reset after loading the same (or any) level

try Save and Quit after you changing the variants options
