"Steam Not Found" error when Olympus is launched as a non-steam game

I have had the Olympus launcher set up as a non-steam game on steam for a while, but all of the sudden I've been having this issue where when I launch either Everest or the Vanilla game through the launcher it pops up an error log saying "Steam Not Found". If I run the launcher outside of steam or launch Celeste directly through Steam it works. It only seems to have an issue if I run the Olympus launcher through Steam and try to launch the game through that.

I do own Celeste legitimately on Steam. I have tried restarting my PC multiple times, and have also tried reinstalling the game, Everest, and Olympus. I have several mods installed, but even if they are all disabled this still happens.

why are you launching olympus through steam?

this is a launcher and doesnt need any steam integration

Steam can launching Celeste comes with Everest if you have it installed from Olympus.

I suppose it’s not necessary to do it that way, but it’s just a preference to be able to access the launcher through steam. I had it working that way before but if it’s not supported to do it that way, I guess I’ll just deal with it

and running Celeste from Olympus works just fine if you run Olympus outside of Steam?

It only gives an error if I try launching the game through Olympus when running Olympus through Steam

i had been doing the same thing, in order to run olympus normally i (a linux user) need to run it from the command line, which is much less convenient than just hitting play in steam

Hm, you're saying Olympus itself doesn't run from Steam?

Why are you opening olympus in cli in the first place

Have you played a pirated game beforehand?
If so, you need to restart your PC for it to work again
