I'm coming back to speedrun after a while of playing modded so launching Celeste through Olympus, and everytime I alt+tab, there's some strange black boxes on top of every text box, it's also just a black screen on loading screens.
Not sure if it's the right channel for that but didn't find any other one more fitting
I don't have that problem on Everest it's only on Celeste
Was just checking again if someone else had that problem but didn't see it so I hope someone knows what's happening cause I definitely don't

Well, it's obviously some kind of graphics issue. You could try the opengl beta branch on steam, that might change things

Oh sry didn't see there had been a new message
So I tried that but when I launch Olympus it asks me to reinstall Everest and I can't launch either Everest or Celeste from the Olympus launcher
Just tried launching from steam and it doesn't want to either
Ok so tried a bunch of things
When staying in opengl and reinstalling Everest it doesn't work, sends me a log folder and tells to ask for help here (gonna send the logs here next message)
When coming back to Default Version it still asks me to reinstall Everest and can't launch Celeste or Everest from either Steam or Olympus
But at least I can reinstall no problem but it's still the same problem with black boxes when I try Celeste
Not sure which one is needed

Switching branches uninstalls everest, so it asking you to reinstall is expected

But it's still having the same bug though

You said the issue was happening on Celeste not Everest though
So why would that matter

Yeah but it seems like I can't launch Celeste through Olympus if Everest isn't installed
And trying to launch it from Steam is just not launching

So it doesn't launch from steam at all? That sounds like a different important issue
Has vanilla Celeste ever worked for you
And by worked I mean launched, even with black boxes

Not sure if I've ever tried it since I installed Olympus now that I think about it 🤔
Uh I think there's a new problem 😅
I can't even install everest on the default version now
Do you think just uninstalling olympus and redownloading it would do something ?
Maybe it would be easier if I could just stream the problem no ?
