#can find celeste.exe on linux (im using chromeos)

Can you elaborate on how you installed olympus and celeste on chromeos? The celeste.exe is just in the Celeste folder (assuming you have the linux version of celeste), so if you can 'transfer' the folder in the same way as olympus then it may work, although you will probably get a lot of lag even if it installs
i have olympus on linux but celeste on chromeos and i need the celeste.exe file on linux so i need to transfer it
I mean thanks for restating the initial problem but that isn't any new information
For starters, where is your celeste from? Steam?
its from steam
Can you press something like browse files in steam to open the celeste folder
If you have the linux version, there should be a file like Celeste.bin.x86_64
Also, does base Celeste run..?
i cant browse the files and i dont have the linux version but yes i can run the base celeste but on chromeos
You can't browse the files; why not, what's the problem? If the game opens, it's definitely installed somewhere
its chromeos so if i click on browse files nothing happens so i havent been able to get into the files at all
i think chromeos hides it
Celeste is built for linux, mac, and windows, so you're either running native or windows through proton
im runing it throuhgt proton on chromeos
its using steam linux runtime 1.0 (scout) but i can change it
I think that's mutually exclusive with proton but anyway
I don't know how you installed steam, but the internet says your games should be at ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/
none of those are a option but could i reinstall steam/celeste on the linux part
~ is your home folder on linux, do you mean there's nothing in that path or what
i can get to .local/share
but then theres no files for steam
Is there a ~/.steam
no
Also do you get more than like 20 fps on celeste
yes
So how did you install steam
Seems that you will need to install steam on linux using apt
if i run "sudo apt install steam" it says steam has no installation candidate
Can you download and install the .deb https://store.steampowered.com/about/
i have it
If it works you should be able to install steam on linux in ~/.steam
But it will take a while to set up and download celeste i assume
When it's finished, olympus should be able to see the executable
like with sudo apt install steam?
Oh no sorry, sudo apt install ~/Downloads/steam_latest.deb or whatever the file name and location is
Also you can ask an ai if something doesn't work
its telling me its a unsupported file
and i asked chatgptfor solution
didnt work
its not in my linux files and wont let me move it there
What's the error
wait nvm
i could install with linux throuhg my downloads
so waht would i do next to install celeste/launch steam on linux
Click browse files in celeste to see where it is (should be under ~/.steam) then select it in olympus
...to install everest
i have the steam files now but i dont have celeste
download it so
and i have steam as a linux app but when i try to run it it gives me a error 'you are missing the following 32-bit libraries, amd Steam may not run: libc.so.6
you should be able to install missing dependencies, chatgpt should know about it but anyway im going, ping someone else if you need
