Invisible Red Bubble

I already found out in a different thread just now that you can re-enter a red bubble instantly if you exit on it's origin and obviously in my gameplay... so it is seems kind of intended-ish... but can anyone explain to me why that happens? And would it work with a normal bubble if I managed to push it back to the origin?
