#are there variables in Lonn?

I want to make an entity (or something like one) that redirects speed in a chosen direction θ in the same total velocity as the player.
If there is a way to use sin/cos/root() functions and use variables in a trigger this would be solved.
Also, if it's required, I have never coded anything in celeste or know haw to.

Slider expressions maybe? But you'd need to find helpers with triggers that use those
