It says that there are "Residual files from a .net core build" but when I press the button to remove them or the button to ignore them it stalls and an error shows up in the log. I have already reinstalled Olympus.

This led to a permission error and everest failed to install

You should move your steam games (or at least celeste) elsewhere and point steam to look for them in the new folder, or optimally reinstall steam in a normal location

I apologize for take so long to get back to you but I reinstalled steam not onto onedrive and I got the same error in the log

update: I manually deleted the residual files and it validated that they were gone but now it gives a similar permissions based error or just crashes when I try to install
