#Xaphan Helper bug?

I'm trying to do some stuff with Xaphan Helper (the mod that is used in The Secret of Celeste Mountain, if you know that). For some reason, when I use an elevator which is supposed to take me to another chapter, it takes me to FAREWELL. I don't think it's an issue with my save file because I tried it on 2 different saves. What is going on???

this is correct right?

no, you need to put something reasonable in To Chapter

That seems correct yes. I suppose you have only two bin files for now, both part of the same campaign ? My guess would be that this is somehow related to you campaign maybe not having an interlude so the internal IDs are shifted by one.

If you can, please send me your map in DMS so I can test it myself. It would not be the first time that I had interlude issues with stuff like that.

Elevators are old entities that do not use map SiD, so i should probably update them to use that instead like I did with Teleport to chapter triggers.

I'll try shifting over the maps so they are 0- and 1-

#

also found out I was using an old version of Xaphan Helper, downloaded the new version, I'll check if it works now

#

it crashes and when I retry, it says the map failed to load. WHAT

#

crashes when I use the elevator

#

@grim lodge do you know what is happening?

#

seems fixed? doesn't crash anymore, no wrong warp to farewell, but respawns me in the wrong room when I take the elevator out of chapter 1 to chapter 0.

#

ok nope, same crash going from ch0 to ch1

so turns out the crash was happening because I had two elevators in one room. does look worse now but at least that's better than the game crashing LMAO

Two elevators in the same room should not crash because you need two anyway for the way back. (Check how its done in SoCM if you haven't yet).

If the problem is what I was saying, you cannot really fix it on your side unless you add a prologue chapter to your campaign. If you do not want to send me your map, then add a prologue (a new bin with interlude set) and try again. If that work, then I have an confirmation that its what cause the issue and can see how to fix it.

Ok nice, i'll see on my end how I can fix that.

one more question: do you know how to display text on the in-game map like in SoCM? I can't figure out how to do that.

like this:
