#Crash relating to SS24?
49 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
first of all i'd suggest toning down the number of mods you have enabled
anyways cc @somber tartan because i don't think luna will be fixing this anytime soon
something's null here
unless the pdb is screwed up
opening at all
when the game opens
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....
do this first please
but it was fine before 😭
it seems to work without ss24
does it crash with ssc24 only
wait a sec
no...
so it's a mod conflict
cc @somber tartan
scroll to the bottom of the newest log file, you will see the mods you had enabled
enable them and do a mod bisect (while excluding ssc's dependencies) to find what mod is causing the conflict
A mod bisect is a way to find a misbehaving mod without having to check them one by one.
Here are steps on how to do it:
- Disable half of your enabled mods.
- Check to see if the issue persists.
- If it does:
- The mod that is causing the issue is still enabled. Disable half of your enabled mods.
- If it doesn't:
- The problematic mod has just been disabled. Enable the mods you just disabled, and disable the ones you had enabled.
- Repeat step 2 until you narrow your search to 1 mod.
ok (i have to go for a bit)
to see what mods ssc24 depends on, open its zip and open its everest.yaml in a text editor
why isn't there a feature to do this in olympus 😭
because nobody made one
well i opened it wih most of my mods and it worked
oh wait
that makes some sense
the mod is
though it is kind of a weird conflict
i forgot to turn it off before starting before
probably report this to the mod author then
i mean there is no real reason to have this mod on with other mods but yeah
@supple root
ah wait i should have included context within the ping, sorry
i thought archipelago issues should be reported in the archipelago server
it's a celeste mod though
well idk anymore then. I now know that just turning off the mod fixes the problem, so the actual crash seems to be solved
how
Yes, generally Archipelago related issues should be reported in the Archipelago server. I'm not sure how you even found that mod without being there, tbh, nor why you would have AP enabled alongside a ton of other mods like that.
in any case, marking this as resolved
