controller not working on everest

my controller isnt getting detected by everest but works perfectly fine on vanilla celeste. i disabled all mods and restarted my pc but it still does not work if anybody cld help it wld be greatly apprecieated

its a flydigi vader 4 pro

Try disabling steam input if you already haven't. Celeste has its own controller support and steam's own thing sometimes interferes with it.

try doing the following: you should have a file called gamecontrollerdb.txt in your game files, rename it to something else, then, in a folder called orig there should also be a file called that same thing but with different contents, copy it back up to where the one you just renamed was
