I installed the d-sides mod but I can't find it when looking through the mods on the file start screen thing

Did you also install and enable the dependencies for the d-sides? If you didn't you should see everest telling you that a mod failed to load in the main menu under mod options.

Okay. Is everest actually installed. Do you see a mod options tab in the main menu of the game? If you do, you should be able to just enter the map select screen where you can go into vanilla chapters. Then press up/down there to switch between modded campaigns.
