it says "Can't find celeste binary"
I am guessing this because I have the .exe but I am not sure what to do about it

well thats because you have a windows version of celeste under linux

i made this thing that will help you make it an actual linux version https://github.com/Wartori54/CelesteLinuxifier/

just make sure to start from a clean install (no everest) and dont launch it anymore through proton nor heroic
