Certain controller binds not working

does anybody know why my CelesteTAS and SpeedrunTool controller binds arent working? I have save/load state and hitboxes bound to different dpad buttons but they just dont work for some reason, hotkeys are enabled, and this is a relatively new issue. If i uninstall and reinstall the mods they start working again, but the next time I launch the game they wont work anymore. Keyboard hotkeys work fine

celestetas and speedrun tool binds expect you to hit all keybinds to trigger it

i tried removing the keyboard bind so there's only a controller one but it still doesnt work

yes, i just added a dpad bind for eeveehelper to test and it worked fine

extended variant* idk why i said eevee helper lol

im talking about disabling every single mod except for those

Ok so I just deleted and re-added the binds for save and load state and they work suddenly? but I did the same for hitboxes (celestetas) and it still doesnt work

so srt is fine but celestetas isnt? i guess?

luckily i dont really need hitboxes on controller so i can go back to playing normally, still would be nice to figure out why its not working though

@left axle issue with controller hotkeys

@hidden flower i dont have a controller so it's hard to debug... just to ensure:

1. what's your version of SpeedrunTool and CelesteTAS?
2. when you launch the game, do your bindings exist in hotkey configs (but just won't work?)

I dont think controller binds should be any different and keyboard seem to be worling fine?

Latest version of both mods, I'd have to get on my pc to check for the specific version number.

And yes, when i go into controller config the binds are there but they just dont do anything

I tried binding the same dpad buttons to vanilla controls, and they all work fine, so its definitely not a problem with the controller.

And like i said this is a fairly new issue, so its weird im not sure why its happening

and this is pretty strange to me, I can fix speedrun tool by just unbinding and rebinding (still inconvenient that i have to do that every time i launch the game) but I cant fix celestetas that way

bindning start/stop TAS to left dpad works completly fine for me, even after restarting celeste

the specific bind thats not working is show hitboxes bound to up dpad

if you wanted to test that

its back to normal
