please provide logs and a timestamp when this happened
now xd
dang
"now" is not a timestamp
yea, log.txt from Celeste install folder please
please provide the time this began happening because we can't guess when that happened
also, the logs
There are two types of logs; crash logs and log.txt.
Crash logs are generated when you see an "Oooops! :(" crash handler screen. They contain extra information which regular logs don't.
To access those, there's a button that says Open log file folder, which should take you to where they're stored. Make sure to grab the latest one!
For more subtle issues, non-crashing problems or other miscellaneous stuff, log.txt is checked. To find it, do the following:
- Open Olympus.
- Press the Manage button in the Installations panel on Olympus' main menu. (it's to the left)
- Press Browse to open the Celeste folder.
- Look for the file named exactly
log.txtinside that folder. Do not graberror_log.txtor look into theLogHistoryfolder as those are not thelog.txtyou're looking for.
Your username may sometimes show up in those logs. If you're concerned about that, remember to censor it before uploading. Every text editor should have a replace function, commonly opened with Ctrl+H.
where is the cnet log?
does exist a cnet log?
No, it's all in Celeste/Everest's log

please drag and drop the file here instead of copy pasting parts of it
now tell us the time around which we should be looking at the log for related stuff
well, cnet disconnects me every time...
yeah and we can't guess when this freeze occurred
(01/31/2025 16:02:44) [Everest] [Info] [EverestSplash] Font Renogare loaded
i guess is that, but it's a interromper log
can you please tell us the time at which you recorded this video
can you not look at the time this video file was created
please do so
the obs shows the time the video started
(16:54:19 = 04:54:19 pm)
thank you
@slow delta search around 16:54:19 and before
it clearly isn't because it shows the mountain and ends at 16:04
the video has 46 minutes long and the clip happens at the end of the video
so the clip happens at 16:50 i guess
its me opening the game
okay nvm then, i thought the video name is when the file recording ended
that's based on the file name and the specific time stamp where it happens in the video? How accurate is this guess
I thought it could be related to this... it somehow did three QueuedTaskHelper.Do at once
Though I'd have to check the inner workings of QueuedTaskHelper, if they're all on the same "key" they might override each other and probably only the last delegate will run... probably...
2025-01-31 its the date
16-04-22 its the hour, so its 04:04:22 pm
Do you get such big lag spikes still or was this a one time thing?
You could increase how detailed CelesteNet's logging will be, and next time it happens, send a log again right after
Also do you at other times have a stable(-ish) connection to CNet? Right now at one time it couldn't even "find" the CNet server...
that big labspike happens only 1 time
I can't say that
unfortunately
judging by their portuguese status and timezone im assuming they're in brazil
