Loading Celeste and Not Everest for Some Reason???

Sometimes when I try to open Everest, it will load Celeste for some reason. The weird part is that up until the game actually opens it's the same as Everest, since it proceeds to load the mods. But once it's finished loading and opens the game, it loads un-modded Celeste for some reason. Idk why this is happening does anyone know?

I just know if there is a Celeste backup it can make it happen consistently but I don't know how it sometimes happens

there's a feature where if you hold right (as in ➡️) on the title screen it re-launches into vanilla

check that you don't have like a controller input or something doing that accidentally

if you're getting a screen that looks like this then that's what's happening
