Recording on everest with obs lags the game

This problem occurs only when recording on everest with obs, xbox game bar recording works fine and obs can record on regular celeste, it just doesn't like recording on everest for some reason.

ok one sec I just noticed that it uses 100% of my gpu

my graphics drivers are up to date

how do I fix this?

It works well with regular celeste

and streams on discord vc are fine

xbox game bar recording also works well

I tried with only everest and obs open

still the same issue

idk if it's related or not but when recording regular celeste, if I tab out, then the recording pauses but on everest the recording continues
