im on the latest stable version of everest, and i downloaded all of the strawberry jam assets through olympus, i checked them against the gamebanana page and olympus definitely gave me the latest versions, however everest still says that it needs an update even though the version shown is the latest version that i already have
if i try to install this "update", it just redownloads the version that i already have (which is the latest version)

should i just ignore this?
(tl;dr its showing the version i already have as an available update)
@lapis flare is this some kind of update server hiccup?
yeah i'll just have to ignore it and be sure to keep auto updates off
and I guess it happened to, like, 3 people only?
hm, can you maybe open everest-launch.txt in your Celeste folder, and remove the # in front of --loglevel verbose? then once the game started up, send log.txt
(did the hash machine break again
)
i tried restarting without trying to do the "update" and it disappeared, i think its fine now
still very weird though
there's absolutely no reason for the hash machine to have broken though
whats the hash machine
is that part of the system that checks for updates
yeah, basically it reads the zip and calculates a hash based on it, there's an update if the hash doesn't match the zip that is on GameBanana
I was asking about that because verbose logs contain a lot of details, including which hash you've got and which hash there is on
