@oblique smeltalso if that helps, it started to take that long when i added a chapter icon to a map of mine

more specifically when i pathed it in metadata

but removing it didnt help

okay can you close celeste

go to your celeste files and find everest-launch.txt

go to the end and put these lines:

--console
--loglevel verbose

save and close

then open celeste again

there will be a black console window with a shit ton of info - this will tell you exactly what everest's doing at any given time
