A map I’m trying to play requires Everest to update to 4738 for some mods to work properly (I’m on 4722) but Everest won’t update properly and I don’t know why. I also don’t know when to find the log for this stuff

catplush they shouldn't be depending on a dev version of everest

#

in terms of updating it's generally better to do it through olympus instead
I expect you can just change the everest version in the yaml tho and it should work (doesn't seem to be any changes that would break in between)

please do ping the mapper and tell them to fix that everest version number if possible

i did, they said they fixed it but it's still broken

then tell them again
if this is kero summit you can just edit the everest.yaml

#

and if you really want to upgrade provide more info, screenshot, logs if its mentioned for example

or wait for tomorrow, a new stable will come out and its version number will be higher than whatever latest dev is right now suspicioushiro

yeah

#

but technically using a dev version in your yaml can lead to weird results, since for example, tomorrows stable will meet the yaml criteria, but it wont have all the features that the specified dev version has

#

because of the two step rolling release

#

maybe you should add a bananabot crime to detect non-stable everest versions in yamls

oh god

yeah, never depend on dev/beta versions of everest unless you have a very strong reason to do so

i changed it in the past because someone told me the version was missing, i thought i could use whatever version i was playing on
