Pardon me if this was asked before, but I cannot find anything on the subject. I hear of some developer code to put into a console to remove the splash screen, but I do not know where to find that. Is it the game console or a separate tool?

you use the --disable-splash launch argument

#

either use it normally as a launch argument, or put it as a line in everest-launch.txt in your celeste folder

this the place to "put it as a line"?

#

do i just paste --disable-splash a few lines under loglevel verbose?

frail epoch

yea just put it on its own line somewhere

resolved - it worked! thank you so much, the splash is unnecessary clutter imo.

it was added because first launch after installing everest versions after 4465 can take quite a while, long enough that people commonly thought the game just didn't launch

#

so we put the splash screen there as reassurance that yes, it is in fact launching

for sure, ive been there, just have a lot of hours so i dont need that reassurance anymore, but props for it being easily toggleable / including it in the first place

i think there's also some work being done to make the splash actually show loading progress too

#

just not done yet

oo fancy i didnt even know that could be measured

it's a pretty simple measure, just showing how many mods have loaded out of how many you have enabled
