#Certain dependencies won't download in Lonn.

...lönn can't download dependencies
The Add Dependencies button is not intended to download a dependency, but to add it to the everest.yaml's dependency list. Unless this is a map you have downloaded and are editing you should have all of these dependencies already
sorry, i meant add
i made the map and the dependencies are missing still
they work in Ahorn but Ahorn also keeps freezing and crashing so i'd hope to get Lonn working
When you say they work in Ahorn that implies they do not work in Lonn. Are you having issues with these mod's entities outside of the dependency interface, or is the only issue right now just editing the everest.yaml file through Loenn?
outside the interface
objects (presumably the missing dependencies) are missing from Lonn's Placement menu which appear in the Ahorn Placement menu
Does this go for all or only some of the dependencies in this list? For your information, a number of helper creators became inactive prior to or during Lonn's introduction as a mapmaking tool and as such never implemented Lonn support into their work. A number of additional helpers exist (look up Lonn on gamebanana) which add this support to existing helpers, that you may need to install
what you're looking for, is more lönn plugins

(shared by @tiny torrent)
downloading now
they seem to be in the everest.yaml
Please can you share the everest.yaml file?
Thankyou very much. I recommend trimming this list of its duplicates that Lonn has added; afaik there is no reason for these duplicates to be a problem but they are unnecessary
Hypothetically, if the suggested plugin fixes the Dependency interface, you should be able to hit Remove then Add on the interface
it doesnt seem to have changed anything :/
Do the entities exist in the Placements menu?
still no
Please can you specify exactly which helpers are missing entities?
they appear in editor though, strangely
its a long list.
wait lemme make mp4
Are you actually using entities from all of these mods?
I note that Celestial Zone includes the additional commented segment in this list. I'll investigate the mod very quickly
ah no, thats a map
im pretty new to map making so i just put it in the mod folder
Installing maps to the Mods folder is perfectly intended, don't worry
ah okay
I do not see Celestial Zone on gamebanana however, does it go by a different name outside of the yaml?
i made the map myself so its not on gamebanana
i dont think it does lemme double check
i think i might have been missing an _ in the .yaml
lemme reload Lonn and check
it's still there but
it doesnt add anything so it should be fine saying there
i just disabled it as a dependency
Essentially, dependencies are the mods that are necessary for your own mod to function correctly. Your mod will not load at all unless every dependency is also installed. A large number of these dependencies are not necessary as they do not add anything, and I'm attempting to understand how they ended up in this list at all. Did you add these to the everest.yaml manually?
nope
again im pretty new to modding, so anything which isnt in an imadadbod tutorial or built in shouldnt be there
The last thing I will check before getting the attention of someone significantly more familiar with Lonn is the commented addon to your Celestial Zone map. Please can you send me Celestial Zone's everest.yaml file and remove it manually from your other mod's dependencies?
i just removed from my other map, sending the yaml now
this ones just as full as the other
At least as far as Lonn is aware, the additional comment following the mod Name and presumably Version are a part of the value and not ignored like they should be by Everest. While I do not particularly expect this is the cause of the current issue of unnecessary additions to your suggested dependency list, I do expect this to cause issues. Please can you remove the comments from the Celestial_Zone yaml aswell?
i removed every dupe and mod that looked out of place (like the entirey of strawberry jam and jade island)
i think something went wrong and everything i ever downloaded ended up in that file
Monika's D-sides and Audio are also large and unnecessary additions
i removed them
That is exactly my suspicion
I will alert @rocky mantle of this issue, as it indicates a likely bug with Lonn and he is well equipped to further troubleshoot this issue. In the meantime I recommend manually editing your everest.yaml file, taking mod names and versions from the helper everest.yaml files, rather than using the interface being supplied by Lonn
(For context Cruor, the bug appears to be that the full list of installed mods is appearing in the suggested dependency list, and one possible cause is incorrect parsing of comments in a yaml file)
