#"Update Everest to 4465" fails

Here's a file called "log-sharp" from an attempt at updating with Olympus
The log.txt file is seemingly empty and can't be uploaded to Discord
file permission issue; delete DiscordGameSDK.dll from your celeste files and reinstall
Reinstall what specifically, Olympus?
no, everest
So, I did this:
- Find several files called "DiscordGameSDK", two of which have the .dll extension. I tried to delete both of them, they wouldn't disappear, and after I opened the file location of one of them, it said that file was gone. In the meantime, there was only one file remaining called "DiscordGameSDK.pdb", which I left alone
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Everest using the Olympus interface
- Tried to launch Everest again. The launch was successful, but once I tried to install dependencies for the mods that Everest said were missing, the game crashed again (see appended log)
- Now there's three files again, "DiscordGameSDK.dll" once and "DiscordGameSDK.pdb" twice, once in \common\Celeste and once in \common\EverestUpdate
- Now, Everest won't launch
everest ships with its own copy of DiscordGameSDK.dll, which is why it reappeared
try updating your mods
also wait, did this happen while installing dependencies?
crashes during dependency installation aren't uncommon, just reboot everest
yeah, that's what i'm talking about
Update from Everest is going fine so far
Mods are up to date, let's see if it launches...
It... doesn't? Steam says Celeste is running, but I don't see Celeste in the Task Manager
Hang on, lemme restart my computer

i mean updating mods means relinking each code mod and having to wait a bit longer on first boot with them enabled
Alright, so I just press the "Everest" button and see if anything happens, maybe grab a cup of hot chocolate in the meantime?
doesn't hurt yeah
if nothing happens after ~10 minutes, try installing the latest dev version of everest
(the topmost gray one)
that version features a splash screen; so you're not forced to wait and pray it opens
also it fixes a bunch of stuff related to missing DLLs
It works, Celeste has launched as intended!
so it was just relinking all the mods
