This is kind of a weird situation. My normal celeste game has been acting up since I downloaded everest, first I tried to play a modded map and the game repeatedly froze. Today the computer decided to have a mental breakdown in the middle of normal, unmodded gameplay.
Basically, the game freezes, the audio sounds like it's indefinitely stuck in a blender, and the computer itself freezes and won't let me do ANYTHING. Alt+F4, windows, nothing works. I have to force shut it down for it to stop.
Is there any way to stop this from happening? I have over 60 hours of gameplay before this, and it never happened before I downloaded Everest.

i'd suggest updating graphics drivers
where can I do that?
it depends on the gpu you have
don't really knwo how to check that
open task manager and go to the performance tab
is intel(R) iris(R) XE graphics a name?
so an intel gpu
likely integrated graphics
since its a laptop, definitely integrated graphics
wait where did i get the laptop thing from?
nowhere in ops post does it say
well it is a laptop
anyway laptops usually have integrated graphics
you can update intel drivers from here https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
Intel
The Intel® Driver & Support Assistant helps keeps your system up-to-date by detecting when updates are available.
you mentioned that the entire computer freezes
whats your ram? just so i can see smth
(also yeah)
I have 16 gigabytes
but like, that'd throw an OOM
had that happen on my old laptop all the time
poor thing could barely run celeste at full fps
