I've installed the stable version of Everest. When I try to launch it or vanilla Celeste, but it doesn't open. After uninstalling Everest, Celeste launches fine.

generally i'd suggest verifying game files and reinstalling everest buuut i don't think that'd help in your case

all the elevation request does is make 2 symlinks

  • one to the Saves folder to allow syncing saves between everest and vanilla
  • one to the Content folder to not have 2 copies of assets, saving 1 GB of storage space
