occasional crash on death and on dash
everest 4446
A similar crash happened a few times before I decided to make this report. In those cases, I just saved and quit and rejoined, so the crash log may have those earlier cases as well.
(for extra context, I updated to 4446 to workaround a crash on launch that a number of people are having at the moment with latest stable everest)
#null reference exception in various circumstances (possibly Fedora SELinux issue)

@austere field looks like an issue with the eevee skinmod celestenet integration
ill check it out, tho how does it happens so i can try to replicate it?
seems to occur randomly (not likely to be random, obviously, but I can't tell what specifically causes it)
i've mostly noticed it when dying (and once when dashing)
it also just happened again now while not connected to celestenet
here's the log in case that is relevant:
playing on strawberry jam, various maps
since the issue seemed to be about skin mods, I'll add that just now when i closed and reopened the game after another of these crashes, cateline and prideline do not seem to have an effect on my player appearance (even after toggling the settings off, respawning the character, toggling the settings on, and respawning the character again)
what do you mean by turning on/off the settings, do you mean eevee settings?
i mean in the mod options menu
those mods have on/off toggles
and to clarify, the changes i would expect from those mods do not appear
the settings are not stuck "on" they are stuck "off"
update: restarted game and now those settings act as expected
thats pretty weird, ill try to check that out, tho cant promise anything in the time being ^^;, i have irl stuff to attend to
I'm just realizing this could make it seem like the settings menu itself was stuck, which was not the case
I could use the menu as expected, but the in-game appearance was not changing
I'm eager to hear if you learn anything, but of course please take your time!
Incidentally, I have not encountered another crash since I posted here yesterday (~22 hrs ago), despite playing a decent amount after that point
I found a seemingly consistent way to trigger one of these bugs in Strawberry Jam intermediate heartside. In the first puzzle room after the third checkpoint
All while holding a jelly, collide with *grab the right side of this moving block and then drift down into the thing that zaps the jelly while holding to the left.
(Updated the replication steps; I checked the first and last lines, as well as a few random lines from the middle of the last stacktrace to see if it was the same crash, and it seems like it is)
a picture of the place:
original log:
i disabled eevee skin mod (still had evee helper enabled) and then got stuck in a crashloop when respawning after a death
the stack traces are so different in each different circumstance, this is hard for me to pin down what is causing the null reference issue in each of the cases
null reference exception in various circumstances
I have not been able to replicate this issue happen after updating the LuaCutscenes mod
as in disabled the mod entirely?, cuz i have a feeling it may be something, but i may still be wrong
yes (via the in game menu + relaunching)
re-enabled it after i saw that there was still a crash (albeit a different crash)
still getting these crashes on Everest 4457
always a NullReferenceException, and I think always in conjunction with a floor booster entity
