my save file was delited

I just booted up the game and entered my save file and a message poped up that said that my save file is on another mountain or something like that and it was deleted

that doesn't mean the save file was deleted, it just means the map that your save file was currently saved into couldn't be loaded

you might still have lost some rooms of progress but if you get the mod running again, the save will be working and you can continue from the latest checkpoint

I managed to load the mod but the save file is still missing, is there a way to retrieve it?

you might just need to press up and down in the chapter selection to switch between vanilla and different mods

or do you mean the save slot it was in is suddenly completely empty or something? sounds unlikely
